I applied a patch from google codes to READ arabic properly, but I want to WRITE arabic, what can I do?

Install another keyboard that supports Arabic. If I remember correctly, AnySoftKeyboard does.

Hebrew/Arabic support

Hi to all the the lucky one's which already have this phone
Does GB finally bring GUI in Hebrew/Arabic (I know it has locale, but in the sdk it does nothing)
Does it has keyboard in Hebrew/Arabic?
Does it has proper BIDI support?
screenshots would be great
Thanks in advance
It does have Hebrew and Arabic fonts (can open corresponding sites fine).
NO system interface in either.
Thank you

You have to find it on the market like Chinese one.

No Hebrew keyboard as well.

it does now have hebrew on 2.3.5 and 2.3.7 but not arabic!!
Gingerbread has Arabic font but no RTL support. Letters aren't connected, that's why people go to custom roms like cyanogen and miui.
CM7 Nightlies have both font and keyboard for RTL
The solution - if you insist on using stock Nexus S ROM - is to root, deodex, then use the Arabic Univeral Patcher by madmack and brightidea here:
http://blog.devasque.com/?page_id=11
You will get Arabic interface, RTL auto-alignment, and correctly connected characters (the full package except Arabic keyboard).
For the Arabic Gingerbread keyboard (with suggestions), just rip the LatinImeGoogle.apk from the latest Cyanogen nightly and overwrite the one in \system\apps
You might find that you actually prefer SlideIt, SmartKeyboard, GoKeyboard, or some other Arabic-supporting market keyboard.
Another solution is to use the Cyanogen 7.1 RC1 or Nightly ROM as it already supports all of these features (maybe not the Arabic interface, not sure).
2.3.4 brought Hebrew keyboard and interface but..
2.3.6 took the Hebrew keyboard out.
Yet, no dictionary and no RTL support.
I expect full Hebrew support in ICS because Honeycomb does support this

Gingerbread keyboard does solve the problem. but not solves problem of rtl ... expecting of ICS ...

I'm not sure how to make the browser support arabic. But for the arabic keyboard, you can try one of these apps:
smart Keyboard
Perfect Keyboard
both support arabic well and both are easy to configure and use.
If you can't find them on the market use google
^^
Or use MultiLing Keyboard, found in Market.
You have to install the plugin first.
Thanks a lot for ur replies. I'll try these choices.

[Q] arabic language

If I recall correctly, there is an RTL auto patcher in the themes and apps sub-forum.

how to add arabic to official samsung or swype keyboard?

when i try custom roms they don't come with arabic in the languages for the keyboard...i don't want a system with arabic i want it only for keyboard? how can i add the language pack?
You must install the RTL patch first via CWM, you can find it in the development forum.
Go keyboard with your choice of theme, add arabic in the keyboard settings and has the swype feature.
