Hi guys,
I'm having my new HTC Wildfire that has youtube app with default Chinese searching so I can't understand videos titles, though I'm using English language for my phone and set location and time zone to London. It seems the phone came from Taiwan with original ROM from HTC Taiwan, coz I bought and shipped it last 2 weeks from an online shop when the phone had not been released at my hometown yet.
Could anyone tell me what I have to do to solve this issue, or how to I will install an Europe ROM for my phone?
Best regards
Can't you flash the generic ROM using the same Goldcard as what is used to Flash the HTC Desire's generic ROM?
I think that you have this problem because of the Firmware on the phone and flashing it should hopefully sort out the problem.

hi, i have a great problem with my hd2,
i m italian and i bought the hd2 in USA one week ago,
the phone worked very well in USA but
when i came back to italy the phone wasn't able to have reception!!!
do you know why?? i must change the radio? what can i do for fix this problem?? thanks
should work if it is a "unlocked" phone...rather should work all over world.
Changing radio is for totally different thing... reading above seems like you are not able to use your Italian SIM at all in your TMOUS HD2
Not sure if this is your problem ,but when traveling out of the US and in some cases in the US I have to force my HD2 to change networks back and forth to get it to work correctly.
Good Luck
Hello,
For first, sorry for my bad english...
I bought HTC TOUCH HD (from Orange UK) from second hand.
I have problem, I don't know if it is SIM locked or it is another problem...I explain..
So, when I insert Orange Slovakia sim card, phone show me all local networks but when I select ORANGE and input PIN code then phone try register to network, but ..... UPDATE: Now, Phone can register to network, but I cannot make call and message send.
When I insert another sim card (T-mobile, O2) Slovakia then phone doesn't accept card and show me message: "The Sim card is missing".
So, I don't know what can I solve this problem...
Last question:
I would like to change to original ROM, but I don't know which is exactly for my phone. I've read that I must search ROM for "S/N", but for my S/N I didn't found.
I have SN : HT91AKD0*****. Can you tell me which original ROM is exactly for my HD??
Thank you very much for any help.
Peter

hi Quark01,
I think your problem is much similar to mine. I got one HTC Touch HD from my brother (Orange UK). when i start using this phone in india it won't work becoz it was lock with orange. I unlock this phone from market and now i can use it with vodafone in india. I was always facing network issue and best thing was after unlock also it shows me only UK networks but i can make and receive call but most of the time i was having bad network issue.
Thanks to XDA Developers ROM wiki page which helps me out to find right ppl with right ROM and i updated my ROM after that i solved lots of performance issue and of course network issue also. Now I'm Using this handset in USA with T-Mobile and best thing is whenever i go to other country and try any SIM card it will detect their settings automatically and give me best connectivity.
i think you should see this page

I asked help for almost same problem and i got lots of reply. Make sure you read more before changing your ROM and you should know everything about ROMs.
Best of Luck
New rom for Vodafone UK devices from HTC Enjoy
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownloadList.aspx?p_id=314&act=sd&cat=2
Does this ROM contain all the apps supplied when buying the phone from Vodafone, like MS Office, Outlook etc?
Also any idea if it voids the Vodafone warranty - just seems strange how its not on the Vodafone website.
Thanks Simon
Brilliant - any idea what functionality this adds? Or is it just a radio update?
I'm wondering if someone can upload the rom somewhere.
Thanks a lot
I installed this ROM and lower buttons stopped working. I'm also not able to make calls.
Hi all !
I'm afraid my phone is out of order or presents some malfunctions.
When I want to activate bluetooth, the phone looking for something and the button remain on the off position...
And when I activate the wifi, the phone don't found any networks...
I downgrade with Samsung ROM, Orange ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Omnia_7), etc.... but nothing went ok !
Form your point of view, what do you think about that ?
Thanks
Try flashing unbranded ROM and if that doesn't work then revert to stock and send it back for repair.

Hi
Thanks for answer. I already try to flash with a Samsung original ROM but the problem persists. I've phoned to Orange Expert (dedicated Hotline for Smartphone), they'll exchange the phone...
Must be HW based problem. At least you'll get a brand new shiny phone, hopefully won't take too long

Hi there
I have recently purchased an HTC One M9+ Supreme Camera edition phone which is imported from taiwan as I do live in Italy. I have contacted HTC support and they have told me that the phone is branded under a network operator from Taiwan and this will, of course affect the update process as when un update will be realese from HTC, then it need to be manage by the operator also...
Anyway they haven't told me which operator is, is there a way to discover it? As I cannot see anything that leads to an operator on my phone.
You could find it on the "Software number".
1.xx.709.xx --> unbranded
1.xx.921.xx --> TaiwanTelecom
1.xx.751.xx --> ChungHwuaTelecom
But as I know, there were all unbranded ones for the newly HTC devices in Taiwan.
Hi thanks for you answer, the number it's 1.08.709.1 .
I wonder why HTC support has told me that it's network branded!
