Im ataching You a link which is a trailer of a coming up movie: Planet Earth 2009, it is converted (by SUPER) from a HD trailer and sometimes its a bit laggy (about 3 times in whole video for around 2 seconds) so You can see what kind of quality im talking about. So if any one have any cool videos to show someone best quality of video which your phone can handle please share.
Omnia HD have that kind of videos just to show people what can it do, so lets dont be worse.... share some Good Quality show off Videos.

Video quality worse than in winmo?

So I recorded some videos last night for the first time with hd2 android and i noticed that the sound quality is poorer. Maybe because the format is 3gp instead of mp4 like in winmo. Is this the way with all android builds or is there any build with a good video recording? Thanks

I don't really know, but 720p recording is almost ready for Android so just hang on, I suppose the audio quality will be higher too.
You might wanna check your camera settings though, with some builds you can change the recording quality..
I'm using MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 nand and I've notice the same. Can I change format in any other android rom? because in my I can't. If not I suppose I have to wait on 720p recording.

Still no 720p??

Is there anybody addressing this, because in my opinion this is the last hurdal for a complete ROM. Is there anybody Devs, DFT or just members working or willing to work on 720p recording for our HD2's.
As i see it now its way over due
Be patient, i believe that someday we will have 720p recording in Android
I believe we all are very grateful to the devs that made Android on hd2 possible. But by the time will get 720p on hd2, there will be 1080p recording standard on any phone thats the feeling I'm getting about time when to expect that feature.
I simply boot to wp7 to use 720p rec if I need it strongly. Or to capture some beautiful moments
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
if you want 720p then go to WP7.to get 720p with android on this phone is far from easy,im sure somebody is working on it,just be patiant, these guys work for free in there spare time to give you android on a phone that was only originaly designed for windows mobile. The time will come
personally im not worried about lack of 720 support, id rather be able to record in a different format to 3gp such as mp4 like in winmo
I doubt this will happen now to be honest, just not a priority for anyone.
That day is comming

YouTube HQ not working right?

So I went to watch my favourite music video on YouTube (Earl by Earl Sweatshirt, if you're interested xD). Anyways when I went to load it in landscape mode, the audio would play but the video would not move. So I turned off HQ, and it started working great! Albeit, the quality was greatly dampered. I am on Froyo using Cyanogenmod 6, the latest release and I am using the latest release of the YouTube client from the market.
Sent from my HTC Dream
nope, the HQ videos uploaded since Jan or Feb 2011 have a higher resolution compared to earlier ones (640x360 as compared to 480x360),so they just dont play.the 320x240 vids play as usual,so in a way HQ doesnt exist anymore for our phones, unless you r watching an older upload.
This just sucks,if not HQ atleast there should be resize/fit to screen options in the player so the video doesnt get tinier on the already limited space.
Thanks for the clarification.
I was wondering why some HQ vids work fine on my magic but most of the time I have the same prob with Smokexz heh.
I've noticed while running Gingeryoshi 1.1, using the Stock Browser allows you to watch HQ Videos. But there is a slight delay from the press of play, to the actual playback.
Sorry for the bump of this old thread, but is there really no recent rom that allows for the play of HQ videos? Does anyone know if installing an old apk of the youtube app allows it?

[Q] Latest YouTube app 5.0.21 stuck on 720p?

Hey guys I'm not sure if you've noticed but with the latest YouTube app update with the new ui, it seems the video quality is streaming in HD but at 720p. I can definitely tell just by watching a video, it's quite jaggy then reversing to the older app it's back to how it should be.
Does anyone else have this problem? I really like the new ui and it's features especially how you are scrolling around, click a video and when you finish and go back it's exactly where you were scrolling to. Unlike the old version where when you finish and go back it's suddenly way up on the list and you've lost where you're up to!

Well, you're not the only one. I love the new YouTube app in that you're able to search for new videos while the current video is playing, but the video (even fullscreen) looks like ****e!!..particularly on the Nexus 10 with such an awesome display resolution.
I don't know what the deal is, but you're not alone.

Considering we have 4K video on YouTube, this is a disgrace. We should be able to stream EVERY quality, not only standard, 720P or 1080P.
