I just went into my messages and they are seem to have all been deleted.
Is there any way I can get them back? Or has anyone else experienced the same?

Hi im a new member of the forum.
I have had my XDAII for a year now and i needed to restore my data after a hard reset using xbackup.
I thought that restoring restores everything that was backed up, but no. My inbox has my sms messages shown but i cannot open them to read; i cannot even delete them. My messages show up with out an envelope on the left hand side of the list.
Can anyone either tell me how to get my messages back or get rid of my old messges, as i have tried to delete them, but no joy; i have also tried select all and delete but only to delete my sms messages recieve since restoring.
Thanks in advance
Nick
cant delete sms messages
HI there - I know you wrote about your sms deletion issue back in 2005 but did you ever get a reply? I have the same issue, with a selection of items in the Inbox, Outbox and Deleted folder, which just wont go, doesn't matter what I do. Just wondered if you managed to fix the issue?

My Hermes recently is going funky. It's showing that there's several unread messages in my inbox, whilst there isn't a single unread. Anyone know of a solution to this?
I received a text message last night and I needed to keep it. I certainly haven't deleted it yet this morning it is gone. Does anyone have any ideas why it was deleted? It is not in the deleted box either, so if I did delete it (which I didn't) then I would have to have deleted it from that box also.
Could a soft reset without closing messages mean you could lose data? (ie lose the text message)
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Hi
Im still having the sms stuck in outbox problems some times, even if I have applied the sms patch from HTC. But it only happens some times and when it does I have to reset and send a new sms in order to kick the sendtask back into motion.
Anyone else still having this problem?
Seems to come up again and again. Delete all the SMSs in your inbox and then clear the 'deleted' items from memory. That should sort it. (Of course, you can retain a small number that you need to keep.)
For some reason on modified roms, a lot of my text messages fail. When people send one and i send one back at the same time it will fail. Has anyone else experienced this?
