You need to update to Dutty's new ROM, I also had the problem with this ROM and however it was fixed in v4

im using the stock tmobile. and when i use android ive had this same problem i even reformatted my sdcard and put music on it then still having the same problem on any android rom i try. when i go into windows the music sounds fine. any clues should i put a custom windows rom instead of just leaving it stock? i have the same radio he has so maybe its the radio version any one got any idea?

i will try to update rom to V5 SOON thx Jack

**WARNING**
Warning everyone, flashed this PDAViet V18 rom and now the phone dosent work, tried everything no luck...PDA fine just no phone.
I was using the PDAViet V17 rom no problem, I then restored my Polaris to the original rom, (hard spl v2), then v18 flash.
Seems a bit buggy compared with V17.
I've just installed it and all is working fine so far including the phone...
I just flashed and my polaris is working 100% including the phone using radio 1.64.08.21
I wish this dude would include opera, tomtom, touch diamond keyboard and pacman in his roms. They would be perfect then

Just flashed my polaris back to original WWE 1.25.405.1, by-passed ext rom loading extras and now phone is same?, I have just tried my sim in another unlocked phone and it works.
Rom must have killed my radio part of my polaris?
Awww I hope you could fix that mate..

Try to flash Murata Radio.
This ROM is nice and smooth, thanks PhamQuang.
Problem with FM radio though. It scans OK with sound when seeking but no sound from selected channels. I had a similar problem with swotos latest build so I think it's to do with this Xperia build. Audio Manager is OK.
No problems with FM Radio with v17 but it wasn't as smooth as V18 which I think it's a great ROM.
I'll try a Hard reset just to make sure none of the installed apps broke the FM radio.
Update after a hardreset:
1. No sound from FM radio.
2. Comm Manager still runs after you press Exit.
Gadjet...
I know its already been said but you should def try to flash muratas radio rom restorer program

V18 overall Progress
So guys,
How's the overall progress over this new V18? Worth it to upgrade?
What apps have been left from previous one?
How about usability, stability and speed?
Can someone point out these characteristics?
Thanks folks!
Cheers XDA, you just saved my Polaris

I have been flashing my P3300 Artemis and my old O2 Orbit for about 2 years now, and used all posted rom's with no problems like this one to date. Maybe the polaris is a more fragile device?, or the rom's are harder to master i don't know.
Many thanks to all who are developing these excellant rom's, and thanks again to batista and be_vigilant for saving my polaris.
The power of XDA-Developers forums lives on..
Hello , can someone explain to me what is the difference between v16, v17 and v18. I am confused with that language. I do not understand a single word. Thanks, Sumitescp
PS: i use v16 with no problems except JAVA i think not too sure as I do not use it.

[Q] HTC HD2 Jumping to Kernel & init panel issues

Dear All,
i face the following issues.
1) if i use froyo stone clean build (Release date: 07.AUG.2010 GMT)
after i following all the instructions, i hang on the line "jumping to kernel"
>> a search on the forum, ask me to change ram addresses and cmd="ips****", but it doesnt help.
2) if i use the latest Parad0XUA_Experimental, it hangs on "init panel" then the screen fades to black.
I would be glad if someone could help me on this
Thank you
whizz
Sorry i cant help, but i have the exact same jumping to kernal problem and thats with any version of android ive tried. Ive got a box full of HD2's and no version of android will work on any of them. Do you need custom ROMS to run them?
Really hope someone can answer this, we cant be the only people to have this issue.
You certainly need to change the Radio to a .50, and it would appear that a custom ROM helps too.

Thanks man! Installed HSPL3 and a different radio. Got it to boot now!
Awesome!!!!! Fantastic!!! thank U thank U

I have tried all radio version (2.08 ~ 2.12) none of them work for all fullram version ...
Changing the ROM did it for me. I was using a .51 ROM...replaced it with 2.15.50 ROM..Now, its fine and I must say Darkstone ROM is quite stable and performance is good too..I am using it on a 2GB card..( my 8GB went bad..Waiting for a replacement.. ) and it still gives me amazing speed.
I have resolved the problem using only the latest version of official rom by HTC without HSPL or anything else

[Q] Help please *Android related*

First let me take the time and express my thanks for the developers/brilliant minds who made android on the HTC HD2 possible thanks so much ...
Now onto my issues well ive installed mattc 1.8 with radio 2.14.50 and i formatted my SD card before hand and followed the guide to a teeth.. But no matter which version ive loaded so far or radio i have tryed thus far i keep having the issue with phone calls incoming and outgoing.
with my last install "mattc 1.8" i was able to make one call but had the robot voice then i get a error stating somethng phone related wont work honestly the rest of the OS performs great so if i could resolve teh calling issue id be set any help would be appreciated here is some more information i have attempted..
radios ive tryed:
2.12.50
2.8.50
installs:
froyo 2.2
shubcraft v1.5
Hyperdroid 1.6
thanks in advance and sorry this had to be my first post
I suggest you do a task29 to your device, flash a new radio, flash an android-friendly rom (chuckydroid for example) then format your sd once again and go with the most recent build available.
I believe your problem may lie with the rom. It is the one part of this equation that you did not mention in your post.

Good idea. Also try to flash another radio, I've read that 2.10 causes alot of SODs. Maybe try 2.12 or even 2.14
try not to remove the battery, as it can corrupt your data. Preferably reset the phone.
If I run into any trouble with android I do the following:
- download a android focussed rom (like chuckydroid)
- download the latest radio (2.14 is doing great for me btw)
- download a android build I like (some builds run better than others)
- format the SD card using a card reader (FAT32, 64 kb clustersize)
- task29 (format NAND)
- flash radio
- flash chuckydroid
- transfer the Android folder to SD card (which is a class 6 one btw)
- boot into awesomeness!
i had the same problem, i upgraded my radio to 2.12 from 2.10 and it's been working fine now

May be its a problem in build you are using. Try different gingerbread build. [22 JAN] -=MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.6 [A2SD+][GRH78C][RMNET][Kernel: MDJ S10.4 OC] is really good one. Also see if someone else had the same problem in the thread for that build...
try updating your radio if you haven't done so already.

Use CWM. If you don't what that is, try reading the stickies and scan through the pages. For the radio, you need to enter bootloader to flash.
Register in other sites? You only need to register here in xda and that's it.
Reading and patience are the keys.

I dont have experience flashing NAND Rom. Previously i use Android from my 8GB SD Card. Guide from all of you is really appreaciated Thank You
Every hd2 is compatible as long as you have the right radio and hardspl, you have the latest radio so you're good there, do you have hardspl? If you do, you need MGLDR 1.3 and a nand rom.
