ZumoDrime, Dropbox, or Picasa?
I would use this for pictures. What do you guys think?
I use drop box for my business all the time.
DropBox is great. 2 gigs free. Super easy to share.
I also use DropBox... I'm sure there are other great apps, but I just use what I know.
for pictures?
Picasa hands down. Easy to share. tied to your google account.
For other stuff? dropbox. But for pics, Picasa is perfect.

You only get 1GB of storage on Picasa as opposed to 2GB on DropBox Correct?

correct.
Frankly, I use Picasa at home and Picasa web for my photos, so syncing is as straight-forward as it possibly can be.
I use DropBox for other files though and find no reason to waste that dropbox space on photos. And since Picasa is already integrated into Android, it's simple enough to use.

Would someone please suggest a solution to backing up pictures and or whatever files I'd like to store from my phone. I'd like to be able to sync directly frm my phone to the cloud. I know Hotmail offers the SkyDrive but I don't see anyway to sync directly to it from my phone. Gmail would be the ideal location but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

Try dropbox.

Great, thanks.
I just found "MyBackup Root" (from the market) last night, and seems to be pretty nice.
It can backup / restore a ton of things including images, mms, call logs, home screen shortcuts, etc.
I haven't tested restoring yet, but a lot of reviews say it's pretty good.
The paid version ($4.99) has online backup support, but it seems it's limited to only 50MB (lame).
People are requesting Dropbox support (would be nice to see that incorporated).

Thanks again!
For pictures, go with photobucket for it's automatic upload. It is essentially a set it and forget it types of operation.

Tht's what I'm looking for. When I had a Windows phone I used MyPhone. You could tell it what to sync and it would roll automatically. Unfortunetly they only offered 200MB of storage.
you've also got native, built-in picasaweb syncing you can use, if you haven't tried that out.
But ya, I use dropbox 99% of the time. Or a wifi FTP app (fireftp?) if it's a lot of stuff.
Mainly, I don't want to move my life into the cloud until I can do it all (MP3s, photos, docs... Everything).
I love Google. Their stuff works well. However they cap Picasa at 1GB. All my documents are (mostly) in Office format which can convert into Google Docs format, so it's no big deal there. But the Picasa limit is what gets me on my photos.
You can buy more space (like 200GB for $50/yr... cheap) but....... Google shows no love for Google Apps users.
Now, Microsoft on the other hand, gives you their 25GB Sky Drive which would work well. But, their interface is crap. Also- I don't think I can buy more space if I need it.
Also, my Android phone syncs too well with the Google services (contacts, mail, calendar)- I'm not sure if it'd be viable to switch or not. The mail is NBD- I could have Gmail pull my mail, but the contacts and calendar syncing is big for me.
Any suggestions? Or what do you guys do in this situation? Maybe I'll have to ditch the custom domain and become a regular user or something. IDK.
Another downside to Google's method might be the fact I can't map it as a drive. (Useful for syncing back and forth easily- like if I need to load up my music or photos on a phone).
Edit- I might have to resign myself to using Sky Drive because I can't find a way that you can map Google Dogs or Picasa to a local drive (which is necessary for bulk operations).
Use something like Dropbox for photos and files, it starts at 2 GB (free!) and has clients for all major desktop and mobile operating systems
Guys I was wondering if with the Nexus 4 it is possible to have my personal pictures on the cloud (through Picasa or something like this). I have 7 Gigs that i occasionally browse on my mobile so, to save some space, it would be nice to have them on the cloud.
Most important part is to browse them with the default gallery application. I know it would be possible to use the cloud provider's app but I prefer using default gallery.
Hope there is a way. Ty all for you support.

I have read about that option. But using that all my pictures will be watchable on my google+ profile right?
BTW it should put picture taken with my N4 in google+ account.
I'm looking on a way to have available(on the cloud) the pictures that i have on my PC without using my N4 gigs.
Anybody know how to add different cloud accounts to the gallery? Dropbox is there but I want to add box to it also.

I just installed Box, signed in and rebooted. Just went to Gallery to share a pic and Box is an option now.
Thanks but what I wanted was to be able to view those (box pictures) from the gallery. Out you look at the to left in the gallery, it says " gallery". If you click it, it has other options.

I'm only seeing Dropbox get added as an option in the Gallery, I went to Cloud and Accounts but no option to add other Clouds. Still Picasa and Dropbox can easily store several lifetimes of photos. I have 100 gigs free with Dropbox.
Also I suggest adding Google drive and Google Plus accounts, every photo I take goes automatically to my photo storage on Google Plus. You get 15 gigs of space free and any photos you upload less than 2048px (or that you let Google+ resize for you) won't count against your limits.
So, still no solution to that?

Is there anyway to completely remove the Picasa selection from Gallery?
Cheers
Which is the best option if you want to use it for sharing and backing up photos? When I'm out and about taking pictures and I want to share with someone, the pics are either to big for texting or there is to many to send. So I usually upload to dropbox and send a link to either just view or to download. The problem is I only have 2G with dropbox and would like to use something else to backup almost ALL my pics(about 12G of them). Is it better to upload them to G+ or Google drive? I know that pics in google drive can be seen in G+, but you don't see the pics in G+ on your Google drive directories. Also, I plan on using the app to view the pics on my phone like the native gallery. Any advice or better options?
Thanks in advance!
I use the google photos app on my phone and have it set to auto backup. So when I take a picture(s) it backs up the most recent ones when I am on wifi.I think the google photos are sync'd with your google drive but I'm not 100% sure and can't look on my computer at work. I also increased my google drive size to 1TB for $9.99/month, they also have 100GB for $1.99/month. Not sure if this helps or makes it more complicated as I am limited to what I can see on google at work.
