Is there anyone knows the droid x will come to asia? Since most asia network is using 3G(GSM). I'm yearning for it.
Thanks.
I'd be prepared to wait a while. You'll most likely see it released in Europe first on GSM if they even release a GSM version at all.
I'd be willing to bet we will see a GSM Droid 2 before a GSM Droid X.

just a simple question..i tried to find it on here, yet cant. i am seriously thinking of getting a droid x , i currently have a flashed htc touch hd (awesome!!) i am in the army and getting stationed overseas in japan. now the droid x is a cdma phone and there is cdma service in japan. my question is if i get the droid x and root it , is there a way to use the service in japan? if so how?
It's up to the carrier if they can add a meid
They probably will though since the US is the only place in the world that goes out of their way to restrict what people can do with their phones or where they can use them.

Hello Guys!
I want to purchase Droid X, because i find it very beautiful and cool than almost other android phones...
And the phone will be actually be used in India, so heard that it is boot loader locked and not unlocked yet
I googled yesterday whole night, but still my doubts are
1. Whats the loss of locked bootloader of Droid X (losses for just this phone)
2. So if i buy Verizon Droid X, is it possible it unlock for TATA DOCOMO (GSM) India
3. Or is it possible to use on CDMA Networks like Reliance or TATA Indicom (CDMA) India
4. Any advices?

no reply???
Anyone??
I had my DX in Dehli and Pune less than a month ago. It had a good signal everywhere and I used it a lot for texting. I was actually surprised at how will it worked. The radio is compatible at least. There are methods to unlock from VZ kicking around as well but you'll have to dig them out. A DX will only work on tata indicom since it is a CDMA phone.
Sorry, but I didn't look to see what network I was roaming on since I purchased a pre-paid Aircel SIM for local calling purposes and used it in one of my older WM phones.

dude check on ebay reliance version is available
My friend just gave me her droid x. I love everything about the phone. Is there any way that. I can use it with AT&T? Tryin to keep from switching services.
It's impossible to use a Verizon Droid X on AT&T due to the phone being CDMA. If you has the GSM variant the Milestone X, you could use it.
Even without being activated, the Droid X is a great phone to play around with.

I have a Verizon Motorola Droid X
CDMA from the USA which I wish to
unlock and use on a CDMA network
like Reliance or Tata Indicom in
India. Would really appreciate your
help. Thak you in advance.
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Should ne the same as flashing the dx to cricket.
Too bad there's no "DROID x india users" thread...lol.
I would search around a bit, maybe other forums as well. Been here for a couple years never seen this type of request. Good luck to you!

Will this work?
It appears to support all the necessary radios/bands.
I would love the droid turbo (camera/screen) vs. the nexus 6.
Would be cool if the droid turbo (bought full retail) could be used on T-Mobile.
Any thoughts/comments?

I believe the Turbo will be launched for other carriers (T-Mobile/AT&T) as the "Moto X Play", from what I've read. This was based on FCC filings, but I forget where I saw it.

Seems like a better phone than the nexus 6.
I'm going to buy the 6 at launch but feel the 6" screen will be too big for me,.

I'm curious if the Moto X Play will be like the "pure" edition and will work on Verizon. It seems like the Nexus 6 will support all bands for all carriers, so there is only one SKU for that device in the USA, and a second SKU for international use.
If the Moto X Play is literally a carbon copy of the Droid Turbo but supports the additional bands, I'll buy it from Moto instead of VZW.
Only 6 days and 20 hours left...
Edit: I said pure edition, which is a Moto X thing, but really meant the N6 idea of having all bands on one device. Having the Turbo and Moto X Play is to get around the exclusivity of the Droid name, which is now locked up with Moto and Verizon only.
I think GSM version that visited the FCC might be called the Moto Maxx instead of the Moto X Play

Thanks! I was hot on the Verizon Droid Turbo but now I will wait to see if Motorola will come out with a Pure Edition model of it! Not sure they will however! Motorola seem to be giving out the high ends to exclusive tied U.S. carriers. Hope I am wrong! Love to buy a U.S. version Moto Maxx or Moto X Play unlocked 5.2" with the specs of the Nexus 6 inside!
