sending music via bluetooth - XPERIA X10 General

hi there, can any one tell me if you can send a whole album via bluetooth, or is it just track by track ? ? ?

I don't think you can send a whole album via bluetooth, but honestly, wouldn't it be faster to use the cable if you're gonna send the whole album?

From PC to phone: Use winzip to zip the album, bluetooth it to your phone using the app Bluetooth File Transfer (Free from the market)
From smart phone to x10: If the other phone is a smart phone, use zip functionality if it has it. As for your x10, use Astro or Androzip (Both free)
From 'dumb' phone to x10: Use BFT with the 'move' functionality to cut the files onto the phone so permission is not asked for every file.

stream with my pc music?

is it possible to access the music playlists on my pc with the hd2 over wifi?
I don't think play lists will work, but using as different file manager such as resco you can map network drives and play music from them.I do this with both a music and a video folder using resco.
i cant see my pc as a device on my wifi list. want to know how to cennect my hd2 to the pc using wifi. i am using my home wifi network with no problems.
No you wont see it as a device
On your PC, share a folder with some music in it, , lets say your pc is called 'comp' and the folder is called 'muzic'. Share that folder, then on your phone, (using resco, i dont use anything else but the principle is the same)
on your phone, in resco you go to 'my network', click 'map network drive' and you should see your pc as an item on your network. click that, it should show the shared folder muzik and you should be able to click that to set it as a mapped folder. If you have username/password on your pc, it will ask for that info.
On mine, it doesn't always show properly the network shares, so i have to put the shared folder in manually, using \\comp\muzik
wow that is amazing, thx for that. I can access all folders from my pc and view/listen to them directly on the hd2 using wifi including pictures, documents and music.
I continue to be impressed with this phone.
An iPhone user recently showed me that he could control his music collection from his phone and get it to play through his sound system from the pc. I dont suppose there is anything similar in winmo?
heh yea. love it.
I'm sure you can probably do the control stuff, maybe win media player can do it, or maybe media center has an extender.I never do stuff like that so I cant help there.
you can always go down the remote desktop method of control.

How to connect ipod touch 4g to epic epic 4g?

Well first of all ,,,I have my epic for phone and browsing needs and the ipod for games and media Fmusc player mainly} I love how u can download music directly on the epic via gtunes ,ipod doesn't have that option so I need to send the mp3 to my i0pod from my epic..any suggestions.....
The ipods drive isn't mounted and accessible from the iOS like our sd is for android. I doubt you could find a way to send music from the epic to the correct directory on the ipod
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
The only way i can think of is copy the music file to the computer to the ipod, dont think you can send file bluetooth or maybe email as an attachment or use download app and save directly to the ipod however u may need to jailbreak to view the file..

How to transfer iphone/itunes music to android phone.

Thought I'd post this in case it might help someone. I just switched from an iphone to a Samsung Galaxy S3 and am having a fun time (read: ***** of a time) transferring my stuff over. After a lot of reading, I found a way to move my iphone music including playlists over to the new phone.
Here was my situation - I had a bunch of mp3s and playlists on my iphone that were not synced to itunes, and if you know how that works, if you try to sync your phone to the itunes library, what happens is that whatever is on your phone gets erased and overwritten with your music library in itunes.
I looked online for a simple step by step solution but instead of finding one, I found a bunch of different piecemeal solutions that only took care of some of my problems and did not have the entire process from start to finish so I had to devise my own way using bits and pieces of other solutions. Here's what I did:
btw, all apps I used were free.
1. Install and run Sharepod on your PC. This program will export the music and playlists on your iphone to your PC. You want to choose the Backup Ipod option and then create a folder on your PC to store the music files. Also, you want to make sure you check the Import my music to Itunes box. This will add all of the files and playlists to your itunes library.
2. Install an app called easy phone tunes on your phone.
3. Install the PC component of easy phone tunes on your PC.
4. Run the app on your phone and follow the prompts.
5. Run the program on your PC and follow the prompts.
6. Sit back and relax while all of your music and all of your playlists are transferred over.
Very simple, very easy, and worked great for me. Hope it helps someone.
Another method you can use is DoubleTwist(free in the market). It sync's from iTunes
I create a playlist in iTunes on my PC just for my phone. Installed DoubleTwist on my PC, and my phone, tell DoubleTwist which playlist to sync, and it does the rest

+1 for DoubleTwist!
I use the wireless version, which is a little silly since I am sitting in front of my PC when I sync.
The only complaint that I have with DoubleTwist (player) is that it doesn't work with my BT headphone controls. Still looking for a solution there but for the synch, it is great!
Try tool's and transfer all your music from your iPhone to your an android phone

Why not use Samsung Kies software? Not only does it transfer itunes it can even read your iPhone backup file and transfer your text, email, sms, pics, etc. Works very well.

I looked at Kies but didn't see an option to transfer sms/texts to the S3.
Oh god, I have nothing but bad things to say about DoubleTwist. It has duplicated my music, erased my playlists, and locked up my computer multiple times. My advice would be to avoid it.
I used Easy Phone Tunes. It's a variant of the utility Samsung put out a few weeks ago to help iTunes users sync their stuff to their new Galaxy easily. It's pretty simple. Plus the developers emailed me back within 2 hours. I didn't think I'd get a response at all.

Uploaded/Downloaded music to Google Music retains the original quality?

I was wondering, does the music that I upload to my device using my Laptop and subsequently save to my device via the Google Music app retains the same quality of the original file? It's quite likely that google compresses it to speed the uploading process but I'm not sure and since i cannot compare the original file size (on my laptop) with the one on my phone (since google hides the songs I save to the phone, you need root to see them) I can't really tell
Yes I know, I don't take advantage of the streaming service, why should I bother, why not just drag and drop the files from my laptop to the phone, well I use mac and let me tell you the mac app to transfer files to the phone is horrendous, so poorly made, the connection breaks quite often and I have to reconnect my phone, also when I upload the songs to my phone via Google Music desktop app I get the Artist picture on my phone and yeah that's a huge plus for me :silly:
Anyone? :crying:

If Walkman App not Recognizing Music

Okay I just share this info since I saw a lot having this common problem on xperia phone line up not recognizing mp3 stored on your external card, I myself going thru a lot of trouble just fixing this thing before.
Incase some of your mp3 not being recognized by Walkman app the most effective solution is to use a pc [were not going to format the card] switch your USB connectivity first to MSC mode on you phone settings, then connect to your Pc, cut and paste all your mp3 to your desktop Pc, after that just revert the instruction cut paste it again back to you Sdcard disconnect from pc and open your Walkman app and done. Don't forget to switch USB back to MTP after.
To avoid this never use 3rd party file managers to move files between phone to your sdcard you can only use file commander (preloaded by experia) for that work, although I notice it only happens on me on my mp3s copying other media such as photos and videos using any 3rd party file managers seems fine.
That's all!
Interesting issue have not come across it yet. What firmware version and Z3 variant do you have?
