Is it possible to get 2.1 ECLAIR XPERIA X10 ROM for the x10i,i cant seem to find it anywhere,or is it a simple fact that it definitely hasn't been released yet??thank you for any help
Hi - Couple of things you should bear in mind for the future... Forum rules - you should use the search feature before you post...
The Development thread has loads and loads of info on this subject..
But in short.. no.. not yet.. The dev's have rooted the phone, but I don't think they've yet cracked the bootloader, so no custom rom's yet.

Im wondering what source is that 2.1 Android on this X10? Is that Official rom for X10, coocked ? cyanogen mod or what....
This post should be in general, with the other topic that has this same video in it from the begining of august.
The on in the video is [email protected] 2.1 update-2 an official SE 2.1 rom known to us as the RC version of 2.1 that we will have within the next 31 days.

At current there are NO 100% stable 2.2 (froyo) ROM's avalible. (Apart from the shipped chinese ROM)

I've just bought an Xperia X8 and I was wondering:
Witch is the best Android 2.2 ROM to install on it ( since SE is still working on 2.1 & is saying anything about a 2.2 in the future ) ?
The second question is very simple: I'm trying to sync the ohne with the SE software on-line. I have to, uhm, write a few things in the Sync program installed in the mobile. To make it short: what do I have to write when it asks me for "Indirizzo server"/"Server Address" ?

I'm no expert, but as far as my googling has taken me, the bootloader for the xperias have not been cracked. Thus, no custom ROM for us.
You're stuck with 1.6 until SE shapes up or someone cleverer than me comes up with a way to run custom ROMs.
Not the perfect answer, but hopefully it'll do until someone more techy comes along.
No, you're right. The bootloader is locked down by Sony, so yeah, no custom ROMs.
SE aren't releasing a 2.2. At least 2.1 comes out in 2 weeks though

Hello Dear Community!
I am now preparing to dump my ****ty HD2 which is driving me crazy and move on to Desire Z. I've never used Android before. The Desire Z will surely attract more n00bs like me, so I guess it would be a good thing to start a sticki HOWTO thread for n00bs. Every popular Android device has a thread like that, so DZ must too!!! As for current progress, I am aware that full rooting is not yet possible, but flashing ROMs is already possible, right? So Can someone start a n00b HOWTO thread with detailed n00b FLASH HOWTO guide, and of course then expand it with other stuff like root, when its available. If this is a double thread, please forgive me, point me to the right thread and delete this one Thanks!

It's just too early to ask for it, because development is just starting
First, we need permanent root (Luckily enough, our mates @ sibling G2 forums are very advanced on this shizz).
Then, a tweaked bootloader.
From there on it will be sweet flashing whores paradise

I couldnt find a related topic to my query so im posting this.
My questions are:
- Ive seen a few topics about debranding, is revoked the best way to root my wildfire?
- How can I get the stock ROM from HTC and then download the official Froyo udate from them. I dont want a custom Froyo ROM, just one from checking system updates.
- Lastly, I cannot remove planet 3 app installed on my wildfire, ive had it unlocked but that doesnt let me update the software as I have to wait for 3 to distrubute it and the software is causing problems for my o2 signal etc. If I removed this would the Froyo update become available or would I have to use the method I enquired about above?
