Little more information would help:
1. Are you rooted?
2. What ROM are you using?
3. Are you using Dark Tremor APPS2SD? If so, could it be that you have filled up the EXT partition on the SD card?
Rooted using CM7 RC1. I do not have app2sd but I used the built in one to move some to my SD. My internal memory has 115 MB and my SD card has 1.5 GB left

What are you trying to install and is it a update to an app already installed? if it is an update, move it back to the phone, change the default install location to automatic and update it, then move it back to the phone. i ran into this yesterday when trying to update a game

rom memory

I own a hd2 with the lates nand hyperdroid rom, and a a2sd partition on my 16 gig sd card.
Now, my phone's memory is full at the moment. I cant even update my current apps due to low memory. So I deleted 5 apps worth of 4 mb. However i can't still update for example the shazam app, which is a 1,5 mb upgrade.
Now, my questions are.
1. If I delete 4 mb worth of apps, why can't I still update the shazam app? 4-1,5 would mean I have 2,5 mb left, right?
2. Second, how can updating apps cost so much memory. Sometimes I need to deleted a few apps in order to update some apps to the newest version. I assumed a new app version wouldn't cost a lot of extra memory.
3. in titanium backup I see there is 28,9 of system rom, 26,3 of internal memory and 800 mb of a2sd left. How come it says memory is full?4
4. Is there a solution to installing more apps?
I'm sorry if my questions are a bit vage, but it's just frustrating that I cannot install the apps I want.

try going into settings and than applications than manage it should show you a list under downloaded. go into some of your apps you downloaded not widgets or important things that you use like button savior cause they wont wont when on sd card. youll see an option to move to sd card move it wait for it to say move to phone than its complete do that to a couple of apps then try to update the app, but take shazaam out of sd card if its there then try to upgrade it if it doesnt work. or back up all your apps than reflash.

Hi,
I noticed when I moved apps to my sd card using SuperBox,that it moved the app,but left the data on the phone.
If you have apps with large amounts of data(saves, etc.),these will be causing your problem.
Try using root Explorer or something similar and look into the cache folder. Apk files that you download from market are saved there sometimes. You can delete them there. You also can move your dalvik to sdext. Easiest way is a2sdgui.

Just Rooted

Hi Guys,
Just rooted using the one click method v3, all worked fine!!, so a big thank you to the creator!!
I have installed titanium backup and have disabled the system update program and removed a couple of games that were on it which I couldn't remove before!! These were 2 of the main reasons I rooted!!
I just wanted to ask if there are any other programs that can tweek the system to create more space on the built-in storage and free-up ram etc!? also can I install/move stuff (apps/games) to the SD card? The reason I ask is because the phone says I can 52mb of storage memory left! I kept getting warnings before I rooted!!
Thanks in advance

The app link2sd is the way to go now you have route. Do a google on how to use.
Basically you add a second partition of say 1/2gb to you memory card just for link2sd. you move everything back to internal memory, then can 'link' to sd. Moves more apps to sd and frees up loads of room. Long to set up but once done should have loads of space from there on in!

If you don't want to partition, DroidSail app2sd can move quite a lot of apps
Thanks for the information, I have moved some apps across with app2sd, do I need to do anything else? Do I need to delete them off the main memory? Thanks

Haven't used that app dude but you should be fine and it'll have moved them from internal memory to the sd card.

Not all apps can be moved
You have to move some with link2sd or another app
