Anyone else notice the market is now like froyos?

Nope, mine's the same as it ever was.

yup mine's different. It's even got the market widget, which I have no idea what its for

I have read about it changing but hasn't happened for me yet.

Open up sdx system remover and backup marketupdater.apk and googleapps.apk and vending.apk, search for that file on you sdcard and upload it for us less fortunate people.

Did you get any notification or anything that would let you know this was happening?

This pertains to my interests. Please upload files so that I may have sexy time with them.

i suddenly noticed it today

Just as I posted, I noticed my screen came on. So I went to unlock my phone to see wtf was up and a notification box came up. I was dragging the unlock button simultaneously as this happened, and it disappeared. I really, really want to know what it said. I feel lucky for an update of some sort.

So what exactly does this look/do? I wanna see if mine updated or not lol

I guess the best part is an 'update all' button. though I didn't think that the froyo market worked on 2.1 but maybe i'm wrong..

If you think about it, none of the froyo market features really required the jit compiler or c2dm that froyo has so it should work on 2.1 easily

Just don't get confused by the filename. remove the '.zip' from the end, then install like a normal apk.

I didn't get any notification or anything. I didn't realize it was different until I saw this post and checked it

Viewing full version of sites on 2.2

I know about the whole about:debug thing but on my vibrant running froyo i dont have the option. I want to view flash video sites in the desktop version rather than mobile. how do i get around this?

ya, i;m using a HD2 with 2.3.3 and i can't find it on the market. direct link from market say's it's not available. my buddy just pulled it up on his market with a stock evo

I just read an article that it is limited to "selected phones". Shows up in market for my Atrix, but not my tablet.
So that's why some people don't see it.

I used the online market on my pc and it wouldn't allow me to select my evo that I'm running the leaked GB rom but my wife's evo that is running sprint lovers rom was able to be selected. I'm trying the download link now.

wont download to my xoom wifi, and doesnt show up on my evo with mik 2.1 rom..
plus, the dropbox links that were posted have been pulled off because of too much traffic..

Groupon app not available for Atrix?

I went to Android Market on my PC to find and download the official Groupon app to my Atrix. It's there, but when I select to install, on the list of phones my old Nexus One (listed as "Nexus One on AT&T") shows up as installable, but my current Atrix 4G is grayed out and won't install. I went to the Market on my Atrix, and the official Groupon app doesn't even show up there. Does anyone know if there is a reason why an app like Groupon would not be available for the Atrix? Thanks.

I'm running the latest update 4.1.83, not rooted or anything yet. Thanks.

4.1.83 rooted and not in market. Same as op with website, shows Cap, Atrix greyed out. Are you sure your not mistaking the japan version for the us groupon? Android apps can be phone specific now.

Doesnt work. Its blocked by phone not by region. OP I will get out the Cap tomorrow and post an apk for you.

I have it. My only gripe is the splash screen doesn't fill the screen.

You have the official Groupon app on an Atrix 4G? Is your phone rooted with a custom rom?

Sounds obvious, but (since it wasn't mentioned) have you tried installing from the Android market via the phone?

Hi. Yes, I did try installing it via market on my Atrix (I mentioned in my post that it didn't even show up there). Seems strange to me that an app like this would be phone specific. Thanks.

I have it as well and downloaded it from the Market on the phone.
I am rooted and have had the app since the first day the phone launched.

i have it as well. installed from the market when i first got the phone, and i think it still updates as well.
doesn't show in the market when i search now. weird.

Yep, I usually pull the battery at least every other day just to clear any gremlins out of the system.

It can only be installed if you have sideloading enabled. Thanks to whoever posted the apk, im hitting your button now.

this actually does work...luckily my son can read chinese...the free download is the 3rd tab below all the pictures...the camera does not freeze up as it does on jokersax version and it has all those extra settings that only code name android offers!!!!

Is it the third or fourth tab to get the download?

whoops...it's the 4th tab...the only thing i have found buggy with this rom is that i can't get the startup tweaks to stick...who cares...it's otherwise a very nice version of ics...smooth and loaded with other tweakable features

hmmm...interested in this one as well but can anyone else confirm and maybe provide a mirror?

the difference for me was turl's camera didn't have any issues...with jokersax i tried my camera while playing music and the system completely choked up...other than that i haven't found anything different

been trying to find the "Download" all through yesterday and the day before it with no luck.

As for the differences, I guess that they are the same differences that are between turl1 and JokerSax versions.

i thought there were only 3 as well...but whatever....the file is called "yeling-16"...the other things that make this rom different are the settings...also my big reason for jumping the neutrino ship was my music player would stutter when turning on the screen unless i set the cpu speeds high...i don't have that issue on this ICS...benchmarks are about the same...7960 in cf-bench ain't bad
