Yep. Just remove Rose.apk and Rose.odex from /system/app. I made my own custom gutted Hero rom with a lot of things removed including the boot animations. Im thinking about uploading it. I can upload a Sense-less (pun intended) Hero if you would like. Note, I did not test it much. Just played with it for a few minutes. Make sure you Nandroid backup

holy hell, removing htc sense speeds up boot time tenfold. i had it diabled but after removing it completly boot time is awesome. thanks for the tip! cant wait to try ur rom

Im going to upload it soon. And now it is not going to be truly senseless yet. I dont have enough time to do that right now but I hope to soon. At the very least it will have all HTC Widgets deleted as well as Rosie.

Well, I am just going through some basic testing right now to make sure it works. I made two roms. They are both basically MoDaCo's roms so he should get all the credit. I just took some leg work out of it for you guys
Like I said, when I have them all tested and working I will upload. Hopefully that means soon. And remember I am not new to the whole rooting/hacking scene but to rom development I am new so please forgive me for saying these are pretty darn beta

my phone runs great i have MoDaCo 1.1 with apptosd and i removed htc sense my phone is only useing 8m of internal storage. I can't belive how fast it is.

Its a straight port of the sprint rom with lwps working with sense

its not perfect but its almost as good as its going to get until we can overclock

live wallpapers work with sense but goes back to home screen after sleep

This ROM has potential! If this was cleaned up (removed sptint crap and bloat apps) and things from the legend rom were added like friend stream it would be sweet!
I have been waiting for a rom with the 6 signal bars. Also if you change the Animation setting under Sound & Display to full animation, you get the animations in sense like on the default home app in 2.1... pretty sweet I may say!

Yeah this was just proof of concept last night when i posted it i plan on cleaning it up today.
Hey, there is a program in this ROM called "Device Self Service", does anyone know what it does? I seems to do something with the network? Strange thing is, if I have a few bars, it seems to refresh and almost give me better signal! Whatever it does it seems to help, this should be kept in this rom!

i agree i love the senseable ui but this ROM is great it seems like i get way better reception when im using this. i used to only get 1 bar in my apartment n with this ROM i get 3 kinda weird but would be way better with the senseable ui *~DEZ~*
I have stuff under there. Is there any way to remove it and clean it? It looks like I'd have to break it off... Is there even a need for this cover? I might as well just break it off...
While on the subject (sorta) is there a way to turn the flash and keep it on via an app or while recording a video? Nvm I'll do a forum search for this question...

Just added another reason to be excited for Froyo.

Installed this and videocall button exists, but it's late here and cant try it.
I swear I once got the camera working on the previous version. I don't know. Might of been the iPhone instead.
I would love to have the video option as well. It's silly that just because of no front camera the Desire is not supported. There still could be use for the video function
I have google talk 2.3.4 installed and the video works there, but still would love proper Skype support also...

Just tried with my friend who has Nokia N900 aaaand no. Didn't work, just black screen, audio tho did work...
Edit: Seeing that some have got it working, my issue probably is custom Rom rcmix s by robo...
skype 2.0 and no signout
This skype 2.0 doesn't provide any "signout" feature like it did, and not it just sits in the notification bar until I go to setting/application and force it to close.

I have CM7 Bravo nightly 119, and my google talk is listed as version 1.3.... I don't have any video function.. where can i get that version/

I tried the modified Skype 2.0 apk for the SGS2 posted by some guy earlier this week... the back camera worked although it lacked focus... everything was blury... but it worked
can you please post your moded apk?.

Skype 2.0 is buggy as **** anyway. Keep's FC on me which is stupid.

tried it.. when trying starting a videocall it shows me my back camera, when other side answers, my video goes instantly off and a few seconds after that, skype fc.

try to change DNS with SetDNS in market...

they have tried to put to much on one page

yes, this should work without any problems, still I find this version 3.3.11 is much faster as 3.1.5.
I assume this still has the issues with incompatibilty if you have changed your DPI?

Incompatibility issues for me at 200dpi, duder. I've gone back to the old one. I don't mind (BlackIce is totally worth it ).
