I would love to get these off of my HD2 also. I assume that it would take a new ROM to do so. Anyone have any suggestions???
If I don't remember wrong, pre-installed apps are integrad in the ROM so you can't uninstall those.
I already asked this before, the answer so far I got is...no, you can't since they are in ROM, unless you install a clean ROM...
you can still delete files, not sure if it helps.
I've seen some other threads talking about the lack of the Optical Reader on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4, but just that it is lacking. Can anyone get the APK for this and upload it? I would really like to use it, but haven't found anywhere that I can get my hands on it? Would really appreciate the help! Thanks!

Thanks, but I'm not rooted, so I don't think this works for me. I tried it and got nothing. Said it couldn't do it since I don't have access.
Is anyone able to provide an APK of this for me? I'm sticking stock unrooted for now, so I would like to just be able to get the apk and sideload it. Thanks for any help!
Anybody have the apk? I've read people suggest downloading camcard from the Samsung app store but it's not the same app
Hello, I'm in China, Beijing with my girlfriend and her mother bought her this lovely Samungs 4 chinaunicom phone. It doesn't come with any google services, and my girlfriend really wishes to use these google services. She wants to root it, but I don't know much about this topic. I was wondering if someone can write a detailed guide or point me in the right direction. I see so many guides for different androids. I was just hoping to know what to do for this model.
Thank you so much everyone!

Hi,I have uploaded some files that wil be used to root the I9502 and flash the recovery.
First, put zip file UPADTE-SuperSU-V1.30.zip and the google apps in your sd card. Reboot your phone to the Download mode.
Extract the two zip files: i9502-csc-root.tar.zip and i9502-cwm-recovery.tar.zip
Then connect your S4 to pc,and open odin. You should choose CSC for i9502-csc-root.tar.md5 ,pda for i9502-cwm-recovery.tar.md5. Start to flash them.
After that, reboot your S4 to CWM. WIPE the data and cache before install UPADTE-SuperSU-V1.30.zip .
At last install your google apps. OK, that's all. Enjoy it.

Sorry ,there is a problem to upload the google apps. Of course, I cannot post the url.
all links point towards http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/hltecan//philz_touch_6.08.9-hltecan.tar.md5 but it seems to be shut down. Google searches have netted nothing for a dowload of philz_touch_6.08.9-hltecan.tar.md5.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

You can use TWRP.
Hi my name is murdoc, you guys can call me doc.
First i would like to say i appreciate anyone taking the time to read this thread and thank all who choose to participate.
I have been reading for about 12 hours on what it is to root you phone. I am still unsure what to do.
I have been trying to get all the necessary files to root my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, SM-G935V, Android 7.
I have hit some road blocks and still dont have everything i need. Can someone point me in the right direction via link?
At this impasse i thought it may be easier to downgrade to android 6 and use that particular rooting procedure.
Is there any validity to my assertion? If so can someone point me in the right direction?
Again thank you for your time.
-Doc
