[Q] Stock Wallpapers? - myTouch 3G Slide General

Does anyone have a compiled list of the wallpapers that came with the stock ROM? I had one I used and after updating my ROM, it's gone.
I believe it was one that was used with the MyModes, which was pulled from this ROM.
Thanks!

You can get them in one of my threads. Just follow the MediaFire link in the 1st post. While myModes IS the engine for the theme, the themes are in their own APKs. I know one of them is LightShow.apk. Open the APK with WinRAR/7zip, and the background is in assets/media/images. You can get the ringtone/notification sound in assets/media/ringtones, and assets/media/notifications, respectively.

How to install theme in wildfire?

Well, it seems there are lots more to learn with my wildfire..
i've search few thread but their problems were not solved.
I've downloaded a theme file which i got it from internet, it's an .apt file. i have no idea how to install it into my wildfire.
here is what i've tried:
zip the apt file
go into recovery mode
install zip from sd card.
and..
nothing happened then =(
anyone knows please teach me? thanks a thousand times =D
i dont think those .apt files are supported on android phones.
if you wanna theme up your notification bar etc go here and upload your framework.apk
http://circle.glx.nl/
if you're looking for an actual whole theme for the phone, look around xda for a port, i don't think there are many or any for the wildfire. these are usually flashable zips.

Kalagas Mixed Theme for Cyanogen MOD
This Theme is ONLY for Cyanogen MOD by nadlabak

So download Androidiani OpenRecovery and extract it as it is on your sdcard (you must have on the root of your sdcard a folder named OpenRecovery and a .zip file named update.zip)....
Here I will try to keep my theme updated with nadlabak's releases:
So below i will put a Title with nadlabak's Realese Name and links with my Theme:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then put the 2 .zip files, you have downloaded from above links, in the ROOT folder of your SDcard. Then make right click on each one and select the option "unzip here".
If you have done all the unziping procedure as i described you must have the following folders and files in your SDcard:

2) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/bootanimation/empty
3) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/fonts/empty
4) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/framework/framework-res.apk
5) sdcard/CMTheme/Yiannis2.xml
OK lets go for it....
Close your Milestone. Get into Androidiani OpenRecovery.
Just to be sure make Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache.
Then choose Froyo 2.2.1 Modding Menu - Menu Install and Restore Theme - Install Theme and let it finish.
After Theme is installed, make again Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache and Reboot.
After phone opens go to Settings - CyanogenMOD settings - User Interface - Tweaks Extra - Choose Theme and select Yiannis2 and Reboot one last time...
Now your Milestone will open with your NEW Kalagas Mixed Theme for Cyanogen MOD.....
Good Luck... And don't forget I don't have any kind of responsibility if something happens to your Phone...
If you like my work, feel free to buy me a beer...
Wow very cool! Can you apply new gingerbread animation to your theme?
This thread is made only for nadlabak's releases...
I change the .pngs on all nadlabak's apks and framework just to be sure my theme is 100% compatible with nadlabak's releases.
So if nadlabak make ROM with gingerbread's animations I will follow...
Wow great!
Checking it out!
Updated to 08b.12.10 version of nadlabak's release....
My Mixed Theme updated to be compatible with nadlabak's 10.12.12 version...
See first Post everyone is interesting....
Thanks Kalagas!!! I was cooking my ROM based on CM6 12/12/10 with your OLD Mixed Theme! (With old icons, for example the setting icon with the crossed tools)
But now I can use this new one!
I am in love! <3

Animations
Hi Kalagas
In latest release, you take off the animations?

I didn't put anything off....
Make a wipe dalvik cache and a wipe cache to see if you have back the animations...
In my phone the Cyanogen animations works just fine with my theme...
Very nice, installed right now on 12/12 release, thank you so much and good work.

Hey guys come on...
Read carefully please before you use something...
In first post I am very clear...
This specific theme is for 10.12.04 and above releases of nadlabak's ROMs...
Not for 10.11.16...
That's why you stuck in M logo...
Not my fault...

[Q] Different theme choosers?

So I noticed that the theme chooser apk in Eclipse 3.1 does not theme some things that the apk in Blackbean or SmoothRom does. For example, camera and keyboard. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if it's possible to swap the apk between the ROMS?
thanks
Hi, I believe Theme Chooser is just the software that allow you to apply themes.
The actual modifications of the theme are in another apk that should be called "yourtheme.apk" or else.
So if you want to modify/swap images, do it in your "yourtheme.apk" not in Theme Chooser
Oh wow i wasn't aware of that. I will give it a go and see what happens. thanks

[Q] Theming Question

Is it possible to mix-and-match components from different themes? For instance I wanted to use the dialer/contacts, calculator and messaging apps from one theme with another theme but keep the other themed UI components from the second theme. Both themes work on my current rom/kernel setup.
Can I just overwrite the files in the second theme with the stuff I wanted to keep from the first theme? If so, what files would I need?
bump?
Can I just copy over the apks from the one theme into the other or is it more complicated?

[Q] Need Guidance for Theming

I am trying to learn how the theme a ROM. Example GoldenEye37 ROM (for my personal theme), the only thing I edit was some PNG's (not 9.png)using gimp but every time I try to flash the themed ROM i get this "com.android.keyguard has stopped " or just stuck on Samsung boot. Sorry been at this for 3 days now and normally I am good on searching for the answers. Couldn't find one that worked so far.
Any ideas why?
This is the guide ive been following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251719
Thank You
Edit: So found out my problem in another forum. I was signing the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk . Signing them was causing the problem.
Now I need to find out when I need to sign the apk and not to, also what zipalign does.
Sorry for making a useless thread. I got impatiant after the 3rd day

You could also grab a flashable vr theme zip, put all you .png files into their correct places in the flashable zip and zip it up and flash. No need for decompiling/recompiling/signing/zip aligning at all. The VR Theme flashable zip will integrate your .png files into each respective .apk file and do everything for you. You can grab my Red BadAss Flashable Theme and use it as a template. It is made for use on 4.2.2-4.3 roms or 4.4.2 roms. It has checks in it that will see which you have and flash the correct version.
It really is a easier way of making a theme. It will allow you to put .png, .9.png, .xml, or any other file type used inside the .apk and will change it for you.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. Love your work! I downloaded your Red Badass theme to use as a template.
I want to theme different custom roms.
1.Do I just delete the framework, systemUI...etc..files you made in there and replace it with my theme?
2. Do I need to do anything to META-INF folder for different Roms 4.4.2 I want to theme?
3. What do you mean by zip it up and flash? Do I need a tool for this?
My apologies if my questions are common sense. I'm just starting to learn on my free time. I'm really good at building circuits/electronics though [emoji2]

1) I would suggest that you delete out all of the .PNG files inside of each folder, then add your .PNG files into the correct folders where they came from.
2) The Meta file should not need to be replaced and should work on any touchwiz 4.4.2 based ROM. When you unzip my theme you will see different folder right away. You will see "system" and "system4.3" inside. The one labeled "system" will work on 4.4.2 based Roms, the one labeled "system4.3" will work on 4.2 and 4.3 based Roms. Likewise for the other folders like "vrtheme" =4.4.2 and "vrtheme4.3" =4.2.2 and 4.3 based Roms.
3) Once you have put all your .PNG files into their respective folders, then you can use Root Explorer (on the phone) to ZIP the theme back up. Or you could use a PC based software to zip the theme back up (if your working on a PC to change out the .PNG files). Once it is zipped up you can put it on your phone and use your custom recovery/safestrap recovery to flash the created zip file.
Any further questions feel free to ask, I can help as needed.

I checked out the link a bit. It is made for CM11. You could grab all the PNG files and copy them into the vrtheme flashable zip. BUT you will need to RENAME ALL/MOST of the .pngs for use on a Touchwiz based rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467075
It is a lot of work, but can be done. I did it with one of my themes from an older phone where I had a Touchwiz Based Theme and a CM/AOKP Based ROM Themes.
There is no way just to flash it as Touchwiz does not use the theme engine.

Okay so forget about flashjng it on or applying it via theme engine. How about remove touchwiz all together and use this theme/up instead .
Lol I really don't want to do the whole renaming/editing to get this to work right.
