LED colors

I've been looking to change the LED notification color on my mytouch slide however it seems that the hardware is limited to only green and orange...
anyone successfully changed the LED out for a multicolored one?
there is only 2 led colors and thats them

I think he's asking if anyone has replaced the 2-color one with a multi-color one. At least, I think.
I haven't done much research, but I don't think anyone's mentioned it.
I haven't pulled the slide apart to check, but most 2-color LEDs only have 2 leads to solder to the board. The color is changed by polarity. Multicolor RGB LEDs have four leads: one for common, and one for each of red, green, and blue. I can't imagine HTC would include the board traces for it and not include it.

The best I could to to check mine was to open up my email. The whole screen is white. I did not see anything except white along the edge.

thank you very much.
please try in LCD Test(*#0*# in Diagnostic Mode) select RED you will see a white border but on my device left-border is green (other sides are OK).
It's very hard to be absolutely sure on red, but on blue and green the edges are definitely all white.

I loaded your JPG onto my Focus and the left side is green. The left side is always green, but the right side and even the top and bottom can also appear green if you hold the phone at certain angles. The green can also appear purple at extreme angles.
Is this a manufacturing flaw, or just a characteristic of AMOLED screens? Could it be some sort of back-lighting source that's located along the left edge that's causing the green tint?
I loaded the picture after downloading it and then attaching it to an email.
It does have a strange tint on the left side.
I then created my own version of the image. I started with a 480 x 800 blank image in Photoshop. I filled the entire image with black at 100% opaque.
Then I stroked the outer edge with 1 pixel of white. I repeated this using 2 pixels and then 3 pixels. As you can see, it is still visible at 3 pixels, but it is starting to turn white. I think we are seeing a consistent result that means the AMOLED screens have a slight design problem that is not considered to be worth holding back this technology from the market. I know I like the display and this is minor.

[Q] Notification Light No Red RGB values

I broke my screen a few days ago and had it taken in to be replaced. A few hours after receiving it I noticed the LED was blinking, but in strange colors different than those I set in Light Flow. The normally white notification is now cyan, yellow is now green, purple is blue. Red however doesn't display at all, so it seems that the red portion of the RGB scale is not functioning. Does anybody know what during the screen repair process might be causing this to happen? I'm almost certain its not software related as prior to having it repaired the LED was working correctly. Thanks!
There's a kind of filter for the LED on the display, not all replacement parts come with it and it's pretty easy to overlook.

There does seem to be a blue hue around the notification light area when held in the light... So could it be that this filter was mistakenly left on the old screen, instead of transferred to the new part? Or is it something attached to the screen that can't be moved from one part to the other?
It wound up being a damaged LED light

look for an option live display..turn it off.
Zenfone max pro m1 has a yellow tint on the screen try setting screen colour to cool
I am facing the same issue in my Max Pro M1 6 GB that I received on 11 sep. I have blue color variant. I think it's related to the color of the variant u order.
Everyone is facing that. Probably display is not calibrated.
You can use Kernel Adiutor or any kernel mangager app to calibrate the screen (root required).
Worked for me
Trun off color correction under settings -> accessibility -> display.

Go to Settings, then go to Display, then tap on Advanced, then tap on Screen Color (This option is only available when Night Mode is turned off).
Now there you can adjust screen color. Uncheck the Default option, and adjust the Screen Color according to you. Drag the slider to Left to bring more Orangish Tint to screen. Drag the slider to Right to bring more Bluish Tint. (Drag the slider to Right to remove Yellowish Tint from screen)
anybody who's rooted device & on lineage os, open live display & increase night slide to 6500...?
I think yellowish screen helps a bit in reducing eye strain by reducing the blue light emission. Anyways, if this bothers you, install a custom kernel and change screen color temperature using kernel adiutor ezpz
