I was cruising through Newark last night and noticed I had connected to 4G but get nothing from home here in Fremont (sadly).
Anyone know anything about when they'll be turning it on for the rest of this area? I can't find anything online that shows a current map of 4G rollout in this area...

Download an app called Sensorly Map Viewer. It shows current 4G, CDMA, GSM, and Wifi coverage and forecasts future coverage. It takes a while to load and configure but once its setup you can get great coverage data.
It looks like there is 4G coverage in 4 spots in Newark, mostly off 880 and near CSU East Bay. I'm across the Bay in SF so I'm hoping they turn on 4G here soon!

Saturday 4th i turned on 4g on my evo in Newark penn station and Surprise!!!! It worked pretty good, i lost the signal when i was walking to the prudential center... about 3 blocks away... but today i was in the NJPAC (2blocks away towards the other direction) and 4g is pretty good while outside the building.

Yes i was down there later on tonight, By route 21 near The center and Nj pac you should get full bars of 4G, also on route 21 in on the line of Belleville and Nutley
Yes, 4g coverage in the area is pretty decent

I live in NY. And I don't get 4g everywhere because there are 4g sweet spots in the city. You could use the free app sensorly map viewer to check which areas around you have 4g.

I'll do that but from the article I got the impression that 4g in colorado would be all across the front range and pretty much full coverage

You can start with the Sprint map.

It seems they are erring on the side of caution, as my house shows as just outside of 4g coverage (by a couple blocks). I get speeds inside my house that make my cable internet jealous. I'm particularly impressed since cell service in my house is so bad I need an airave.

I'm near Thornton ,CO

I'm in Aurora
Sent using one bar of 4G. Which is strange because Sprint does not list my city as having it. Thought the 3 people from this city on here woild like to know.

Heh.. who would have thought that St Joe would get 4G before I can get it here in VA. Good to know for the next time I visit the inlaws.
4.5 down.... 1.5 up! top o the on ramp. I was so shocked I had to share!
I thought they were only testing LTE in phoenix. I hope this becomes something.
I wish I had those speeds. Hell I wish I had 4g

No go for me on central and thomas in phx.
There have been reports though that somewhere near bell rd in northern phoenix, you can connect during the night. Some say they were doing testing out there.
If you want to track where people have gotten 4g coverage, download the Sensorly app on the market. It's very helpful to see where Sprint is expanding coverage as you can see a lot of places before Sprint announces them.

Or just go to clear.com/coverage and see the new places. They seem to update the maps every Monday or so.
Sweet! I'll be travelling to Phoenix next week. I'll have to check for signal while I'm driving around the city.
There's a little blob over around 7th and Bell. I've been obsessively checking the clear maps for months and our two Phoenix blobs haven't grown yet.
...that's actually Mesa. I miss living there. :'(
