Photo Gallery Issue - Droid X General

When I try scrolling through my photos I have taken with the phone, it backs out to the previous screen. It doesnt matter how fast or slow I try an scroll it backs out. It only does this with the camera folder. Has anyone else seen this?

Just checked. No issue here. Try a reboot. Anytime i have any issues that seems to fix it.

I have reboot several times with.no luck. I might have to just do a factory reset.

You could try unmounting then mounting your SD card. This will cause a re-scan.

Camera Trouble

Greetings All,
Is it just me or is anyone else having camera trouble. I have the stock ROM, haven't rooted yet, and I notice the phone will hang after I snap a pic or when I attempt to view the pic in the Gallery. I mean it will really hang.
I usually have to shut the phone down and restart it. Or I back out of the camera program all together and try to relaunch it.
Am I the only one?
never hear of that problem until just now, after reading your message
we've seen all kind of other color off related issues with the camera, but not causing the phone to hang
did you try another camera software to see if it does the same?
try Camera 360 for example
https://market.android.com/details?id=vStudio.Android.GPhoto
Also have not heard of this issue. What does camera 360 do?

Camcorder crashes when I press record

When I press record my camcorder app crashes and sends me back to my home screen. This phone has never been rooted, pseudoROM'd or anything like that, and It was happening both before and after the OTA update.
Any ideas? I can take pictures fine D:
Do you have the imo.im app installed? I had that issue with my camcorder crashing (not loading) when I have imo.im running Had to uninstall it and find another messaging app *sigh*
Omg thank you! That was the problem

I'm having the same issue, but don't have IMO.IM installed. So, I started deleting (what I thought) might be related apps to no avail. So far I've deleted the following apps and rebooted:
Handcent
iMediaShare
Everything else seems to work fine. Could this be SD card related? Any other apps or ideas? THANKS to anyone who can help resolve this very annoying issue!
Have you frozen any apps in TiBu ? Happened to me once when I had frozen apps (I think mediagallery) and it would crash if I tried to view the file
Thanks for the tip but I didn't freeze any apps as far as I know. I changed camcorder settings to save internally instead of to card and it magically works -- gonna have to try exchanging my Lexmark 32 GB class 10 card.

Gallery and photobrowser 3d.....

Love this app but my problem is that it doesnt update......if i move some pics or add new ones it doesnt show up.....any ideas how can i fix it....?

Sometimes, rebooting fixes that.
Not a problem, it just takes a little while to update. Their is a app on the market and I use it. You click it and it does a update read of your card. I think it is something like, "update sd". I will look to be sure.
This happens on every app, sadly. You open an app transfer data from computer to the app folder and it doesn't show/update. The only way it will update is to reboot.
try SDRESCAN

Need help with daughters phone please

Don't come on this section much, I'm a captivate guy. But my daughter has a completely stock desire z on bells network.
What is happening with her phone is regularly she will have to do a reboot, or sometimes even a battery pull because she will add some songs, or pictures and sometimes even SMS messages and she knows they're there but they won't show until the reboot. In the case of gosms, she gets the notification icon on the display up top, and when she clicks it, the messaging app is empty, until the reboot?! The songs and pics are the same thing, she knows they're there, and they show, but not until a reboot. Hope i've given enough details. As I said, stock rom, everything. Thanks in advance.

It's probably an effect of a known bug with refreshing cache for files on SD card. Try running this instead of reboot:
SDRescan

Though not sure what the heck is going on with her messaging... First time I hear about that. Maybe corrupted internal memory card?
thanks given, I'll give it a try.
Sounds like an sd card issue going on here. That app should help, but I don't know why it is affecting gosms...

I'm not sure if the gosms issue is a regular one or not. I've got the sd Rescan on there now and we'll see if that helps. I have to go over her phone and get rid of as bunch of unused apps as it is. Not to mention she had about 8 updates that I took care of for her. Thanks a lot all!

I had the same problem after OTA update on the stock ROM.
Reset to factory defaults after update solved the problem.

The phone isn't rooted, so internal factory reset is appropriate.

Right, but you don't have to either, do you? I just thought it would be easier, since the phone isn't rooted, to do it thru Settings...

Gallery problems

OK i have looked everywhere and tried every "solution" i have seen. hopefully XDA can help...whenever i open up my gallery and go to All tab for my pictures, there are my regular pictures there but also a whole bunch of grey boxes. when i select them i dont have the option to delete them and its driving me crazy. went to the picasa web app and deleted all my empty albums, cleared the cache from my gallery app and even tried doing it from the desktop application and they are still there. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh any btw phone is completely stock, unrooted.
This is not an ideal solution, but it's what I've done. For me, the gallery was freezing, or at least lagging for 5 or 10 seconds when I'd try to select an album.
My fix, if you can call it that, was to stop using gallery, and use something called QuickPic instead. It's basically the same thing. It also makes it very easy to exclude or include folders.
Yea I was using quickpic on my last phone and just havent installed it yet on this one. Still would like the gallery to function properly though.

My gallery shows a bunch of "broken pics", and quick pic shows a bunch of grey boxes. Anyone know of a solution?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda premium
Could these be pics that were deleted that gallery thinks are still there?
Have you tried a reboot? Clearing data and cache for gallery app?
What mods have you done?
Not sure what gallery thinks they are. Ive deleted everything thats unwanted in picasa but there is still a little picasa icon next to the empty albums. No mods done at all

Did you clear cache and data from gallery app?

How about some screenshots so we can see what is going on? I find that the newest ROMs based on the newest International firmware, fixes all of the gallery stutter and lag as well.
