I'm unable to send MMS via messaging application in Cyanogenmod CM6. Can send pics cia from gallery via messaging. Another forum suggested I wipe dalvik cache, but that didn't work. Anybody have this problem and/or have a solution?

After searching for awhile I can't find anything related to this in Mytouch section.
First off my phone
Stock ROM 2.2.1
Rooted S-OFF
Kernel Faux123 0.8.6 LV #98(no issues with lock screen or anything at all! )
Recovery 2.5.1.2
And my problem is this:
Everytime I do Fix Permissions from recovery it messes my contact icons/pics only in the Messages app. The pictures are still there they even show when someone calls and in the contact list. However in the Messages app I get the default pic icon like there isn't one assigned to the contact. The only solution I have found is to delete my google and facebook accounts then add them and resync and relink everything. I have even tried using Titanium Backup Pro version and it just restores old messages. Is anyone else having this issue or know easier fix for it.
Thanks!
I'm having the same issue and haven't been able to figure out why it does this...
Yeah sucks guess ill keep doing what I'm doing

Ok so I just ran fix_permissions and after my reboot i lost all my messaging contact pictures and some of my contact pictures. But as this is NOT a problem caused by the kernel but still a problem that occurs as part of the, dicking around with your file system territory, heres a fix. Before you flash a new Kernel version or fix_permissions run a titanium back up on everything and if a problem occurs restore the following Via Titanium All are in green text:
[CONTACTS/CALLS] Contacts Storage
[SMS/MMS/APN] Dialer Storage
[SMS/MMS PREFS] Messages

Hi guys,
my Gmails app doesn't send out emails anymore. I send out emails, it says 'sending' but the recipient never receives them nor do they appear in the Sent folder.
Running CM10-20120904-nightly-MB525 with gapps-jb-20120726-signed
I re-flashed the Gapps application, but still the same thing (with clear cache & Dalvik cache)
I flashed the following Gapps, same thing:
gapps-jb-20120726-minimal
gapps-jb-20121011-signed
gapps-jb-4.2.1-20121129-signed
any ideas?

Hello all. I'm using the LG Nexus 4, rooted, and running the stock rom. I absolutely LOVE the theme of this MMS.apk originally developed for the Galaxy Nexus:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745830
However, I have a small problem...I cannot send MMS messages or receive them, as well as forwarding multiple people a message. Otherwise regular SMS messaging and everything else works out fine. I installed it through the use of Root Browser Lite after uninstalling and backing up the stock MMS through Titanium Backup. The post also mentions installation by "flashing into recovery," though not sure if that is the same as installing a rom through Clockwork Recovery or another method, which I did not do. Can anyone help me? I wish to keep using the stock messaging app with this theme, without the need for a third party SMS solution like Handcent or GO SMS Pro. Thanks!
Ok to start i'm rooted running stock MDB and i downloaded a stock mms app with emojis and placed it into the system app and changed secmms.apk to .bak and secmms.odex to .bak.Well I wanted to go back to samsung messaging app so i got rid of the bak and deleted the stock mms app from the system but now theres a problem and now the samsung messaging app keep showing i have 3 unread messages when i dont in the message counter.I tried clearing the badger but thats doesnt work do any one have any other ideas i also deleted cache and dalvick cache from twrp then fix permissions that didnt work either.
Has anyone been able to transfer MMS messages? I have tried everything my backup keeps locking up and SMS backup and restore put my messages out of order doesn't make sense
If anyone has had any luck please help.
Thanks
What app are you using to backup or transfer your SMS messages
Did you try alternate restore? And enable logging so you have something for the dev?

I tried MyBackup and also SMS backup and Restore.
Sms backup and restore is the only one that seems to be working but it restores all my messages in a weird order.
Any other suggestions
I use GoSms, there is a back up within the app, which backups and restores SMS & mms...what i did was transfer the GoSms folder over to the new phone via computer and restore within the GoSms app... Profit...

I too lost all my mms from my note 7. I'll be switching to another v20 tomorrow because of a blown speaker hopefully textra will do a better job backing up mms.
