As per Samsung on FB, Froyo to be released by the end of September.
"Samsung UK Mobile: Afternoon everyone!
We have seen quite a few questions about the Froyo update. The latest news is that this is currently in development and will be released for all networks at the end of September."

Looks like the official Froyo has leaked.

International version only.
There is a user whom everyone respects in that thread, who almost certainly has an inside scoop into Samsung's affairs. He claims this is the one.
Not final and not froyo
I guess time will tell, but many are convinced at #project-voodoo.

Pretty sure this is froyo. rhcp posted on his Twitter about this last night.
The T-Mobile leaked ROM we got recently is not Froyo, but according to the many posts this is Froyo for the International version. I'd imagine the US version is not far behind.
Samsung previously announced Sept 23 as the date that Galaxy S Froyo would be released to the carriers. This doesn't mean that we'll get OTA immediately after. TMO needs to brand/bloat it before enabling OTA. Even though Sept has been quoted repeatedly, I don't believe it's accurate for when we the end user will receive it. Considering the uproar around the GPS issue, I can see why they didn't wait for 2.2 to push out a fix before then.
We don't really need an ota version. As long as I can flash it with minimal glitchyness, I'm happy.

Samsung has said nothing about Froyo release for any of the US versions of the Galaxy S. The only thing that was said by Samsung UK was Froyo to be released in September and a rumor from a non-confirmed source about the 23rd. I have no doubt that the "official" update for the international version will be in soon, but i kind of doubt that the one leaked today was the official version, from what i've heard theres still a few bugs.

Froyo for India in late October

Bad news for Indian SGS owners its confirmed that froyo in India will also be released late in October
here the confirming tweet from samsung.
When i asked this to them a few weeks back they told it was confirmed for end of Sept. Now they deleted that tweet
Or...not bad news if when it IS released it addresses and corrects the problems that are so frequently discussed around here and works like it can and should?
if its coming late then curse u man
At this point, I have become rather well acquainted with waiting and waiting... And waiting! I really don't care when they come out with it anymore... I just want the update delivered OTA whenever it does arrive...

I really hope that's true! The point is, they did confirm it to be released in Sept for India. If they release froyo in UK in Sept. then it is understood that the improvements are done or none at all!
It will not be the case that Indian or Spanish froyo will have the said improvement alone just because they were released late.

2.2 in beta

with sammy announcement of froyo coming to all in november and it currently in beta for epic that means its imminent right?
nevermind... just read the other threads and they have confirmed ALL means everyone, UK and US. looks good.

Leaks suggest August 20th release date of Official Android P

Leaks suggest that August 20 2018 Google will release Official Android P.. name is still unclear but it will be the name of a dessert (treat) starting with P.
Last few Android major releases were all released at about this time in August, so this makes sense. Then we will get a .1 bump when Pixel 3 is released in November.

If I remember rightly Oreo was released on 21st so makes probably would call this leak legit
Seems about right. Google said it would be released in the 3rd quarter and last year Android O was released August 21st.
Official Android p is coming this month signs of release
Now I've been paying attention to Google I know every month on the 5th Google releases a security patch update well I believe that Augusts security patch will only be included in the official Android p update coming later this month on the 20th..
