We All most have the perfect device;
One for personal use and another for a more professional use.
But to be 100% lack of finding the Holy Grail porting the HD2 .... the ability to have TV OUT on Android Ports.
it will be Possible to find the Holy Grail?
.
its not possible as hd2 doesnt have video out
you can't port it because hd2 lacks the needed hardware
I think the problem is in USB port.....maybe a 3 party, could make a usb port MOD.
i'm just dreaming...
I'm able to see my videos, fotos and musics in my TV..... with HD2 (wimo).... via WD TV, and charge it.
But in Android i can't do that.....the HD2 (android) detects the USB conection , open de SDcard and charges....but the WD TV can't detect HD2 (android).
Why in winmo WDTV can play my storage SDcard, and Droid no?
Try Automount from the market and see if that works for it. If not MountUSB Widget from the market forces a mount and might do the trick.

Now i can take my fotos, video recordes, musics, Divxs, rmb, and put all on my 16 SDcard and play it on all TV's...with a 45€ mini Device....while it charges on USB port.....nice!

Note: is cheaper than a composite cable for Iphone TV OUT (ony mpeg4)

nice, i would of never thought of connecting my hd2 to my wd tv live box... gonna try it out soon. thx for the heads up!!
I was able too, conected my HD2 to my USB Audio CAR.....but all, audio files play mixed.....ok no problem......but first play the phone ringtones.
Someone know a workround or tip, to USB CAR put the ringtones on the end of the list...or a way of the USB car system, not reconize them.
maybe a edit on the ringtones folder?
OR delete all ringtones, and just have the one or two, that i use....thats it!
I can handle a mixed playlist....but without ringtones.
thanks
i think i read somewhere else about making the ringtones a hidden file. they are still suppose to work correctly to the phone, but your music player won't see them anymore. i haven't tried this myself thou, so i can not confirm this. good luck!

Anyone doing this besides me? Vista automatically started syncing my recorded shows and all my music on to my Mogul but was putting it on the phone and running out of mem. Not really trying to do this and just charging my phone in the midle of watching CSI it started to sync with the HTPC. I normally sync to the lappy but I was like oh cool lets let this go through. It loaded ALL my music and ALL my TV shows on my mem card after I switched to sync that instead of PDA. The only problem I have is the TV shows show up green and distorted on the device in WMP. I tried in Core and same deal. I thought it could be a mem issue and put one episode of SP on and same deal. Thoughts oh guru's out there?

I have an HTPC, it runhs Vista MEDIA center edition, and it syncs to WM devices. I believe there is a setting that is wrong or the conversion that it does is messing up the video when it "syncs" not transfers the TV shows. I get a grainy purpl and green double image playing on the mogul, but sound is fine. And there is no problem with music at all.
Somebodyt has gotta be doing this. I tried turning off the conversion but then it is not a recongnized format and won't play at all. For the record these are recorded media center TV files in their own format that are being converted over for the PPC by Windows Media Player and have jumbled video using WMP on the PPC. Stock ROM, GPS edition.
Figured it out, thanks for all the help guys.

From the title alone you may already know where this is going ;-)
If you have a xbox 360, you may know that you can plug USB Mass storage devices (USB Hard drives, flash drives, mp3 players, etc) into any of it's USB ports, and the 360 will stream media (Photos, videos, and audio) off it. It's quality is great, and it streams video / photos in high definition - up to 1080p (and with the fall update, it will do 1680 x 1050 to on VGA for 22" widescreen monitors etc). With audio - it does nice visualizatons too, and if you hit the "guide" button while in a game you can control the music too to provide your own background music (it also allows for independent volume adjustment, track changing, etc etc). It's real slick...
Well it dawned on me when I plugged in my phone to my 360 via mini USB to charge it, that if I flipped Card Export on, the phone's MicroSD card becomes a USB mass storage device... got curious and, sure enough, if you enable Card Export while it's hooked up to a 360, you can stream media of the MicroSD!!!
It works GREAT just like any other mass storage device! Now all the Picture's I've saved on my phone I can view on the TV in HD, plus all the MP3's etc I've saved on their I can play thru my surround :-D
Only thing that didn't work that I hoped it would, was 3g2 / 3gp cellphone video. No go on that. Oh well. It will play the other video format though yay!
I guess this isn't much of a hack, just putting two and two together, but maybe someone else can use this idea
Hay that's a cool idea! What version of card export have ya tested it on? I am running 3.12 on my mogul.
Tried this with 3.12 and it worked as advertised. (Tried WM5torage and wasn't able to get this to work). CardExport II was the only successful option...
Where could I get a licenced version of this card reader?
Found out there is another program that provides this functionality too, from no2chem, called neuMassStorage:
http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueMassStorage.aspx
it's donationware, and supposedly provides the same end functionality, though I haven't tried it as I already am a licensed owner of Card Export and like it's interface.

I think what we must do a census of the HD2 do have the problem with the HTC Audio Manager, that if these are 100% of the HD2 and equally disturbing to me is that the issue of accommodation of pink.
Email HTC also explain the problem you are reading that if you make sure that passes the test well.
If so (I'm pretty sure that if) a list of users to send and email affected HTC to see the answer or at least taken into account in its next revision of the ROM or do a patch, as it did with the camera.
This is the mail I sent:
"Hello, I noticed that the Audio Manager is not working as it should be on the HD2, and I've had the HTC Touch Cruise, HTC Touch Pro, HTC HD2 and now, with previous others, listen to music with audio player HTC Audio Manager and activate, then put the device into the suspended and everything went perfectly on the show is not working for the HD2 HTC, which has only the effect of the first song on the album Audio Manager, Track, composition changes manually (control) or end of a song and start over Manger Sound stops working and even when returning to the Audio Manager box is checked this not work.
I request a search a solution to the problem, tried to soft reset and hard reset and the problem persists even with the 1.48 ROM update is on the page.
I look forward to hearing this regard, since it is a very expensive and I hope it works correctly, as the other devices are also very expensive, but everything works fine, there are several devices with the same problem on XDA, HTCMANIA and TodoPocketPC Other Pages of which I am member.
A greeting "
The way to verify that the problem is to make a game with headphones albun track with sheet music in the menu Manila Enables audio sample manager and a great improvement in the sound of R & B or Rock ie, each to your liking, then change the shutdown screen (obviously, the music still works, it makes no sense to go with the music screen with HD2 in your pocket, right?) and the song just have to change the HD2 Series O command wait until the end of this problem and start the next, it automatically disables the Audio Manager, which is the decision reopoto HTC.
So if you see that you have the problem (I'll bet that if 100% of all owners of the HD2) the census that can be a good pressure to resolve as soon as possible.
A greeting and thanks for participating in "collective slap on the wrist HTC" if you have trouble
The more you have this problem or we're on the list mayoir pressure to settle it soon.
Mention also would be nice nick buestro with ROM version is ..

¿?¿?
did not think this a topic to discuss?
I guess that HTC knows how to do things better and they can fix the bug of Audio Manager.
And another thing, I is not better without google translation.
NO Audio Manager Error
Audio manager does NOT have a bug. It seems people do not take their time to figure somethings out for theirselfs, so let me do it for you.
step one
Connect your HTC HD2 to your computer
Active sync started? nice
step two
Start up Windows Media Player
You see the nice tab Synchronise?
Click on it
Now you need to choose the option Storage Card so that WMP knows where to sync the songs you want on your HTC HD 2
Step 3
Dragg the albums you want to the right side of WMP (WMP also guids you where) and click on sync. and the songs you want will play on your HTC HD 2 without the Audi Manager Error
Say thank you!
lol

But still I'm getting the Same Audio Manager.exe error while playing the Music from the HTC Sense Music Tab.

I'm using HTC HD2 Handset, but whenever I insert my SD Card with some Songs installed in it, my Music Player Tab in HTC Sense does not work. however if I'll remove the SD Card then it works properly. In short Songs available in Memory Card is not getting played in the Music Player Tab.

@OT: I've emailed HTC about it too and the reply i got was that they will inform the dev team about it... this was a month ago =/
It takes some time for the HD2 to index what is on the card.
I normally go to the music tab and attempt to open the library then exit it.
Then I give it a couple of minutes to do its thing.
You should see a spinning circle icon in the top left corner while it's searching for new music and indexing everything.
Obviously the more music you have, the longer it will take to index it.
You will have to do this everytime you replace the SD card and everytime you reboot.
This has fixed the issue for me, if there is an easier or quicker way I'd love to know.

HTC HD2
This phone is half product.
I also have a problem playing music with HTC Sense player.
The only thing that worked is that all mp3 files MUST have tags inputed!
Also it works only with 10 albums max...when i upload one more...CRASH!
But if only this is the only problem. The Windows Market Place had to be reinstalled to work. SMS problems - had to install SMS FIX....and so on!
if only people would write THAT in their reviews! I would never buy this phone and spend 450€ if I knew that I would have to repair it - to use it!
And THERE IS NO UPDATING directly from the phone! That's just stupid!
I have WindowsM that has to be connected to WindowsPC to update the WindowsM! What is the point. Why not update directly?
I'm totally dissapointed in my phone, WM and HTC!

You've never downloaded any updates or patches for any Windows, Linux, OSX installations?
Or downloaded patches or updates for any games or office software you've ever used?
Please, get real and get over it.
If your MP3s don't have tags, you'd lose half the features of the player anyway, you wouldn't have the album art, the artist or song title displayed?
Gday Blackyy777,
Sorry mate, but id have to disagree with you there. I purchased my Htc hd2 a while ago, and use the standard winmo device centre to load music/files etc. It take you to the standard windows media player, and clicking on sync as you described works fine.. All music gets synced (ok), all shows perfectly on the sd card (cool). But the problem starts when you open the music tab on the HD2. It takes around 4 mins to show all your music (not a problem as i have around 10gb of music on my sd card), but when you click on the album and press play, it plays the said track for around 2 mins, then crashes.. and comes up with Audio manager error..?? I have checked all the mp3 files that i am copying across, and none of them are corrupt, i cannot seem to play any of the music fully. Very bizarre... And i have googled this problem, and it seems alot of people have the same issue. Do you know something we dont..lol...???
Oh, things i have tried to rectify this problem already..
1. Format sd card
2. Change format of music files instead of mp3 to wma
Can you help..??
hehe Im with u. Couldnt understand anything!!!
hi
dear all
In htc hd2 Music player shuffle is not working properly. due to following reason
since htc hd2 quite brillant (but they are very silent). when they copy from iphone (concept) they didn't copied properly.
1. shuffle will not work properly
due to following reason
1. it will start all the album first (unknown album)
2. it will start all album in start with alphabet (a)
3. repeated Shuffle Will be working
4. i have 4000 mp3 songs i know what will be my next song even it shuffle.
becuase shuffle plays same repeated mp3 songs.
5. even all the songs are properly mp3 tag with mp3 editor and saved it is same
6. all mp3 should be copied under music folder.
7. shuffle mode work when u keep the phone horizontal (Landscape mode)
solution
1. from google search
open the htc hd2 backcover. remove the storage card and insert it it will work.
once again same set of shuffle songs
2. copy the audiomanager from windows folder and pase as short cut in the startup it will works some time.
but htc hd2 they are not brillant end of the day they are silent.
in fact i like htc hd2. but due this i hate use the htc hd2. all my friends made a fund that. htc hd2 music repeated player use less.
thanks
R.Nagarajan
Anyone has this problem? Kinda annoying to have to softboot everytime after even just charging the phone...
Audiofiles show up fine in file explorer & play in media player, but HTC music player just informs "no music found".
ROM: latest MIRI.
Are you sync-ing with media player?
pls chek this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647136
no, just dropping the files to SD card. Don't want to sync my music files with any computer (almost main reason that I sold iphone.. itunes....aaarrrrgghh..)
thanks for the link, but no help..
another question; Is there a way to disable the albumart fetcher? (i always make albumarts myself..) it countlessly tries to update the arts, but does nothing (..but takes resources..)
First post, and an attempt to help after lurking here for weeks. LOL.
I had the same problem with my audio files. I'd disconnect from the PC and it would say "no files found" or some such thing. However, if I went into the library and mucked about (not sure what I did the first time. Just sorta clicked around until I saw a list of music), I would see songs on my SD card, press one of them, and, voila, my Sense Player would, once again, find all of the songs I'd downloaded to the device.
I've not used Sync, however, as I hate Itunes style appz like that (they frighten and confuse me...). I have been dragging my folders over manually. I doubt that'd make a difference, though.

I do the DIY covers myself, as a lot of my "albums" are actually compilations of tunes I like best from a particular artist rather than actual albums (ergo, no covers actually exist)! I've not had an issue with the albumart fetcher trying to connect, though. I've didn't even know it was there until I hit it by mistake while flailing about on the touchpad (coming from a G1...this thing is SENSITIVE).
This isn't just the fact that your plugging in your phone to the pc and using it as a disk drive is it?? when you do that you cant access the files on the phone..

He didnt mean it like that. He was talking about that his music disappears AFTER he had connected the device to the pc. Afterwards the tracks dont appear in the player.
I didnt have this problem with the HD2 but with the HD...never seen it since i own the HD2.
Since the Nexus doesn't come with an SD slot I was wondering what the best way is to use the cloud as a storage medium for movies and stuff like that. I know Google has things such as Google Music but those aren't available in my country.
I'm planning on getting an OTG cable and an app to mount an USB Flash Drive but if there's other ways I'd love to hear them.
The idea with the streaming movies is to buy them from the Play Store and stream them that way. I'm sure there are other websites, but the problem is with the flash player not being built in, you have to side load it which can be tricky sometimes.
If you want to use Google Music outside the US, there is a thread here about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1757991
I recommend using tunnelbear. I tried various proxys for an hour and couldn't get any to work. Tries tunnelbear and sorted it in a few mins. Already uploaded 3,000 songs to it

Yea I tried that (using a SOCKS proxy to my hosting server in California), I could access music.google.com but apparently you need to install an application on your PC to use it, which might be a problem (linux user). Gonna look at it again later tonight.

I agree totally. I've converted some of mine to AVI so that I can watch it on my PS3 external HDD without having to use the disc. So it's quite easy to just copy them to the N7 and use MX Player.
I do have another option for you if you own a Wifi direct phone. (Mainly android 4.0 +). It's called Wifi Shoot! : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.budius.WiFiShoot&hl=en. You can just pick the file you want off your phone and transfer it to the N7, like you would Bluetooth a file
If you can't do that, like me (Stupid Sony deleting that feature from ICS) you could use Airdroid. Get your phone to act as a Wifi Hotspot and connect to it with the N7. You can then transfer files as to your tablet the same way you would your PC if you use Airdroid. (It doesn't use any data and can transfer very fast). I used this when I was on Holiday and didn't have a laptop.
That app looks very cool, thx!
