Hi, first of all I'm sorry for my stupidity if I post in the wrong room
I Have Htc Magic 32A old radio with cm 5.0.8 final, I have a problem just with google goggles application, I can only have one correct shot by camera. After the first shot, it makes all the audio off, so there were no notification or media sounds, so I must reboot to solve it everytime I use google goggles. I had reinstalled many times, but it always have the same problem.
Could anyone help me to solve the problem with google goggles application, please

Hi !
Got a question for you...
All applications using google maps data keep showing me a minimap which is just a grid without anything on it...
i can't find a way to remove that thing...
my phone is a HTC Magic 32A with SuperD 1.9.3 + JIT (Dusted Donuts)
the problem also ocurred without JIT, so this won't be the problem...
does anybody know a solution
I've already master reset my phone, and the issue persists, so don't bother posting that as a solution.
There has been an issue going on for weeks where media playback stops working. Nothing plays, not even YouTube or media via the Flash Player. The YouTube player just says touch to try again. The Flash and Media Players error out saying the format isn't supported.
Not even the Camera or Video recorders work (gives a generic error message). The only way to get it to work is to power the phone down and back up, until it works again.
Dunno what the issue is. Is anyone having the same issues?
Stock 2.2 KB5 never modded phone with the stock SD card and the only 3rd party apps I have installed are the obvious ones (Twitter, Facebook, Engadget, XDA App, Google Apps, Beautiful Widgets, etc.). Prolly have < a page of 3rd party apps installed.
N8ter,
I was having a similar issue with YouTube and Pandora. After a certain time neither would work, Youtube would give the error message to touch again, and Pandora (or any other music player) would pull up the song it was about to play, then skip it and go to the next one, and on and on. The issue wouldn't go away until I restarted my phone.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a fix for it. I tried clearing the data, cache, etc. with no luck. I have a hunch that it might have to do with an app or a program the runs data in the background or with data itself, switching between wifi and data, or with flash. Of course I could be way off too, who knows.
Right now I'm running Bionix NextGen 1 ROM with Overstock kernel and so far the issue has not come up. Keeping my fingers crossed, and hope our fellow xda'ers have a solution to this problem.
I'm wondering if the OS is shutting down a needed service or something in the background. It's been happening since before KB5 update, but I haven't noticed it being so bad until recently because I put all my music on the Vibrant and it happens when playing audio files as well...
Oddly, ringtones and notification tones still function.
Hi N8ter, DO you have the twitter app installed? I ask this because my sister was having the same issue a couple of weeks ago (we both have vibrants running bionix 1.3.1 ) i really didnt know what was going on so I kind of ignored her issue. It was not until I created a twitter account and downloaded the twitter app that I started having the same problem. I removed the twitter app from both our phones and we havent had the issue for weeks now.
Its odd i know but it worked for me...
You know what, I have been having the same problem, and yes, I do have the Twitter app installed. I hope that is it (I'll try to report back here after a few days, but due to the sporadic nature of the problem, I won't be able to know whether that works). thank you for the suggestion.
I can't really believe that the twitter app might be the problem, but it has been 24 hours without the twitter app and I havent had to restart because my media files/you tube are unrecognizable. I read it somewhere else on xda. I will follow up if it seems that twitter is not the problem.

Yep. I just went to the T-Mobile site and found:
http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/Samsung-Vibrant/vibrant-file-glitch/td-p/760507/page/2
I just removed the Twitter app and reinstalled Seesmic for Twitter access (not big loss, it's not like Twitter had C2DM support and the phone natively syncs contacts and pictures anyways...).
I'll see how it goes.
Thanks guys... I never had media on my Vibrant until recently (the HD7's external speakers make the Vibrant sound like a Surround Sound system - don't even need headsets for this phone!) and the issue was starting to make me want to beat a baby...
Thank you so much everyone. xda ftw!
Hey guys,
my HD2 is running evo hd2 v90 since about two months. But from the beginning on i had problems with some google apps.
Google maps doenst work for me. When i start my HD2 i get the notification that google maps has been closed. I can't open the app. Google mail istn startable too. The other google apps like play store, talk, search are working. I think these problems are the reason why my HD2 stucks sometimes. After an undefinite period of time my apps dont start anymore. I can klick the apps but nothing happen. Navigation through the screens etc. is no problem.
Where do i get the zips to flash google maps and google mail? Perhaps it's the solution for my problem. Or does anyone has antoher idea how to solve this?
Thx guys
Best Regards
Marko
Hello everyone... I have had a couple of defys until now.. after my "super special" defy died from a car running over it, I got a new one (mb525 red lens model) running quarx cm10, the latest sbf flashed.. (an mb526 one).. anyway I forgot it on a cab.
too bad I didnt had any tracking software.
yesterday I went to the google play store page and I noticed that the asshole who found my cellphone did not unlink my google account..
so I can see what apps he/she has downloaded.
I guess the person did not change any settings, just used it as something to browse the internet and play things (because when I lost it it was having a *small* baseband related issue.
anyway, is there anybody who has the slightest idea on how can I track it?????
I guess if that person just turned on latitude on maps...
I can install apps remotely from the google play store.
could anyone know of an app that installs and automatically transmits its position?
or any other clever ideas ????
I would very much appreciate any help.

I think Prey might be useful.
Dear forum,
I'm having a strange issue with gmail and I haven't seen any other references on the forum.
About a week ago, Gmail auto-updated in the Play store, and since that time the icon changed to a "postage stamp" with a "G" on it. The application itself is now dark-themed in the conversation list, though the message text background is still white (the dark/light issue makes some of the text difficult to read).
This application is really broken now, and I don't see anyone else complaining about it, so I'm curious why this ended up on my tablet.
I've tried wiping the data and cache and reinstalling google apps -- the old Gmail is restored, but when I reboot the bizarro Gmail comes right back.
Has anyone experienced this? I'm worried about some malicious app update, but I'm not sure where to go from here.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I'm rooted on stock with the latest updates.

I'm afraid I haven't heard of any issue like this.
If you're reinstalling google apps (I'm assuming via flashing through a recovery), are you sure you're using an official / trusted package from a trusted source?
If the G-apps package is from a malicious or untrusted source this may explain why you can't uninstall it correctly and it has that weird type of persistence.
You can always get a trusted version of the G-apps package from the Goo Manager app from the play store (The app is free and without ads!).
I hope this helps in some way. Sorry I can't offer a more direct answer

Are you using a ROM with a dark theme enabled?
