why osKitchen Zero cant open cooked ROM ?
i wanna add same packages
Most of the cooks don't include dsm files when cooking their ROMs, which contains the information of packages.

Not for saving space as it is very negligible in size
Can't say it as wrong from their point of view anyways
i asked this question to a seasoned chef some time ago, and the answer was that many cooks/kitchens create protected roms that cant be imported. No way around it, unless your preferred chef lets you have a copy of the kitchen.
is there way to make my Cooked ROM recookable ?with it ?

Hmm lately i been posting a lot of stuff here, hope webmaster and stuff dont ban me orz >.> but yeah does any one know which manila file i need to edit to change the back ground of the home screen where the "Date and Carrier" info show up at? and is it this one "55cc771a_manila" ? Oh and also is their any way of editing the file or importing the new file into the phone without having to re cook the rom? because i got my phone setup nicely and junk >.> ty again.

Anyways first of all that bug is rom specific that is tell the rom which you are using... and if the bug is there in that rom then you have to switch it...

i think it's a very old build rom already

Some old roms were way faster than roms shipped now.
Some of them had extra options...
Want to figure out why, and how we can add that extra to current roms.

i have confirmed, the speed of the old roms is not in the drivers, its in the old manila iteslf.
the one in 1.01 was 2.5.1918, and although in greek, ran like lightning over a complete 2.10.1 base, faster in fact than the test rom itself.
the speed is controlled by manila_core ext package, but with 500 files to go throught one by one is quite a task to find out which one is responsible
Find 2 other version of this ROM.
But still not this version tho.

Apparently you can't or at least no one has managed or bothered to write a procedure/.CAB file.
Manila (HTC Sense) requires LOTS of individual files to work, as well as LOTS of dependencies on other packages so cooking all this in a ROM is much easier.

yes, generally speaking there is no way to install manila separately, it is toooooooo complicated, too many files to install or copy or replace, therefore normally integrated in rom by cooker.

I have been around this forum since maybe January, when my brother gave me his VIVA.
I've already tried pretty much every ROM out there, and have ventured into the world of cooking myself.
So, after reading a lot of tutorials and customizing a lot of settings I have made a working 6.1 ROM, real simple and lightweight, after this one I'll try a 6.5 ROM.
The issues I'm currently facing are:

I would like this folder to not be created upon boot, but this is the simplest of my problems.
This one is pretty self-explanatory, maybe an issue with the SDK Certs? But I can't find the cab file!
And the last one, these shortcuts on Manila don't work.
I would really like to be helped on these problems if it isn't too much of a hassle, after this step I will go on customizing the ROM and possibly publish it in here of there is interest.

dear friend i think anybody needs a little bit more than what you've said. which folder you mean? and if you mean the shortcuts in operator tab in manila you need to mention!
The 'Games' folder, as I don't have the standard WM games in the ROM.
About the shorcuts, what happens is that nothing happens when I press those buttons.
about the second problem (camera) you have missed some package, I don't remember which, may be one of these:
Camera v6.7.32367.1 False
D Show v2.00.080904.0
HTC Gesture v1.0.32356.0 False
Picture Enhancement v1.50.18141822.c2
Share DLL v2.0.070522.0000
try with adding all these packages and tell me if now camera works. If you fix it try to remove the packages once at time and you should see which package is essential for camera...
