Incredible HTC DIAG drivers - Droid Incredible General

Hey guys,
I had my phone flashed to Cricket by one of their dealers. Voice and SMS work great, but data isn't working at all (browser or apps). I'm trying to get into QPST to verify settings, but I can't find the HTC DIAG drivers that I need to connect in ##DIAG# mode (Win7, 32-bit). Can somebody point me to a place where I can grab the drivers? I've searched for 4 days now.
Thanks!

diag drivers are included with htc sync

I know I have had this problem before and fixed it but I don't remember how. I open dmrouter and the diag com port is loaded on the computer. I then use qpst configuration to connect to that port. But it always shows no phone. Yes I did install a carrier cab so that is not the problem. Can anyone else think of anything?

Hey Drew, now I am going to explain how to get QPST to work. Dont think I am treating you like a nub butt because I know you know what you are doing, I just want you to get your problem sorted.
First install the HTC drivers from my share site, or if using Vista search the forum for those. Now start out on a freshly rebooted PC and a freshly rebooted PPC. Have the phone unplugged. Now disable USB connections in Active Sync connection settings (PC taskbar). Start up DMrouter and let the window close on its own, do not hit ok and do not close it. Now plug the phone into the PC and give it a few seconds to detect etc.. Now open up QPST configuration and add the port. Phone should now be detected. Dont skip the freshly rebooted parts described above as I am certain thats your problem.
Still a no go. After QPSt says no phone. I immediately take the mogul with stock rom and hookup it up and it is seen immediately. Maybe there was something in DCD's rom that caused this. It is wierd that using the stock rom I don't really do anything in the order you specified and dont disable activesync and it always registers with qpst.

Hey when you go into add new port did you try unchecking the show usb/qc ports only box? And then adding the port that it shows? Yea weird that DCD ROM isnt working. Must be something with the Carrier cab if you still cant get it.
I have tried that. And I am adding the same port that is listed under device manager of where the diag port is. It is weird because without a carrier cab it wouldn't even run dmrouter. So I dont know.

I dont know, either a problem with the DCD ROM or maybe a messed up USB terminal on the phone you are having troubles with. Try cleaning it with some electrical contact cleaner (spray lightly) and then blow it out with some compressed air.
Otherwise I tried to help. This thread will at least help others connect their phone to QPST so I did some good.
same problem too
what is DCD? i have same problem too...ROM 3.0 radio 3.42.02 on windows mobile 6.1 prof. do not find the answer till now...i use QPST and cdma workshop too...
Win7?
When I'm using Windows XP and Vista, Active Sync, QPST and CDMA Workshop are working perfectly. After upgrading into Windows 7, only Windows Mobile Device Center runs smoothly. QPST and CDMA Workshop are always unable to communicate with my titan.

[Q] Activate Diagnostics port on SGH-i637

Hi, please help me with this. I need to activate the Diagnostics COM port in the SGH-i637.
Some info about this phone:
- This phone has a 32 bit Qualcomm MSM7201A CPU and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
- When connecting this phone as Modem, only modem driver is installed in Windows.
- During Flashing procedure (Turn off phone, press J, connect USB cable to PC, do not turn on phone) a Qualcomm device is detected and installs a COM port.
- Entering *#197328640#, then Option 9 (Common), then Option 4 (Diag_HFK_Configuration) only UART3 and UART 2DM are available (no USB Diag)
- Entering *#7284# nothing happens. Running Emchanger.exe or dataconnection.exe, you can choose between PDA or USB mode, but nothing happens.
- This phone is very similar to Samsung GT-B7320 and GT-B7330, on those both phones, changing from PDA to USB works (entering *#7284#) and installs the Diag COM Port.
So, any clue if there is a way to activate the Diagnostics port on this i637 smartphone?
Thanks!
Samsung GT-B7330 QXDM
I'm also working with QXDM and Samsung phones. I'm trying to used the USB modem mode(*#7284#) on my GT-B7330 but I can't find the right windows driver for it. Could someone provide me with the Samsung USB modem for the GT-B7330
I've search on the web and although I found many versions I could not get one which worked with the GT-B7330
Thanks
Running Emchanger not happening
as i wrongly updated my gt-b7320 to AT&T sgh i637 windows 6.5 now some of the keys are not working and led is always on
when i connect the phone to pc no COM port is showing it doesnt enter in boot mode as when i do it manually by *#7284# it shows cant find emchanger.exe
so is it possible to get my orginial version back by flashing it with original file.....
can anybody help me.......

can anyone send me windows folder from healthy b7320 so that i can study and get u guys a solution.

Windows 7 x64 USB Tethering

Hi,
It seems that I've searched everywhere and tried everything, but I'm unable to get USB tethering to work.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of how it should work between Windows 7 64bit and Typhoon's CM7 Android running on the HTC HD2:
Phone Side:
Wired tethering is already available as an option, so simply enable USB tethering by ticking Settings -> Wireless and network settings -> Tethering & portable hotspot -> USB tethering
Windows Side:
Install the correct ADB driver for the HTC HD2. Does this create a new network adapter? I'm assuming a internet connection starts automatically as soon as tethering is enabled on the phone (and this runs via the network adapter)
When I connect the phone via USB, windows is unable to automatically find a driver. Apparently windows already comes prepackaged with a RDNIS driver, but this doesn't seem to work. The phone shows up in device manager under "Other devices" and is listed as "ADB" with a yellow exclamation mark. Where do I find the correct driver to use, and what happens after I've installed the driver. Is it true that the process is automatic, or do I need to right click on the installed adapter and click connect?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Regards,
XA83
Hi guys. Would really appreciate some tips on this one.
Is nobody using USB tethering on Win7 64?
Regards,
XA83
Hey. I haven't been able to get native USB teathering to work. U can use a app to make it work that seems to be the only way as of now. If you search my posts I posted the apk file.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
In the past I've had to search on google for the ADB driver but cannot remember where i found it since I couldnt find it again but a friend just brang their desire hd over and windows 7 found the driver straight away, do u know anyone who would borrow u their android device?
dunno if this helps
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
Thanks for the replies.
I've already installed the Google USB driver (from the developer site listed above). The phone shows up and the ADB driver is installed.
I've also tried installing the wired tethering apk from google apps. It is currently at version 1.4.
HOWEVER, I still don't understand how this is supposed to work as the ADB driver is not listed under networking devices. Surely you need a network driver to able to establish a connection. What am I not understanding?
Regards,
XA83
Hey, just built a new PC for a friend and tried sharing my internet connection using easytether which didnt work because the pc didnt have the correct adb driver. My friend then installed HTC Sync (for her Desire HD) and windows found an adb driver in there. Now the native tethering & easytether on my phone works.
Now I'm not too sure if htc sync has ANYTHING to do with this, or if the driver was downloaded from her desire hd (usb was plugged in already) but I guess you could try downloading htc sync and see what happens.

CDMA WS / QPST Not Detecting Phone

I have read a few threads where people claimed to have made a connection with Sony Ericsson Xperia Play via CDMA Workshop and QPST. I have visited the official site from Sony and downloaded the drivers. Still no luck picking up the device on QPST or CDMA. I have installed Gordan's Gate's drivers and still no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction to getting the play detected? I have the R800X version already unlocked and rooted...
Note: I can successfully flash my device to CM7, and the other custom stuff. Thank so much to Ash, Mills, Doom and everyone else with so much helpful information....

simple buddy all you gotta do is open your phone dialer like if your gonna make a call and hit ##3424 and ht call itll take u back to your home screen its normal if it does attempt a call u did it wrong
after that if your using win 7 itll auto download the drivers this is to make a DIAG port if using diff os not sure look for the drivers on google
after that go into your device manager on your computer and look for what port number it gave you and go back to cdma and connect read and write spc is 000000 no extra steps are needed for the spc code
ps try to do it running stock rom because some users remove DIAG on customs roms why alot of people have trouble
Oh no! I have to install windows 7 because I am currently on windows XP (don't tell nobody!). I have been to the sony site and downloaded the PC companion and all 4 driver sets hoping it would be enough to get QPST to recognize my device. Still nothing, I can however connect with fastboot, flashtool, adb, but no luck with QPST detecting the phone no matter what I do.
If anyone out there have XP drivers for QPST that will detect the Xperia Play please share!

try these out make sure you got usb debugging on and hit ##3424 and hit the call button itll take you back to the home screen and when it tells you to locate drivers unzip my rar file and put them like on the desktop or something and try it out
qpst has nothing to do with it for the most prt you need drivers for the DIAG diagnostics mode only then will qpst will detect the phone

Your drivers are missing .inf file and ##3424 isn't working for SE phones.

Simply go to (via adb shell/terminal emulator) /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/diag and run (1 for on and 0 for off, respectively)
Code:
echo 1 > enable
echo 0 > enable

LIKE I SAID GRAB THE DRIVERS AND HIT ##3424
if it connects perfect to cdma workshop so will qpst
want more proof?
Okay it looks as if you both are right lol. I just realize my laptop don't have a Com Port and that may make a difference. I will install the drivers and ADB on my desktop tomorrow. Since I am running CM7 I will use the shell command to get to the enable file.
Thanks for the pictures! I noticed that I had the same stuff you had Edo except the Com port device. Oh and in stock I was able to do the 3424 code, but in CM7 it made a phone call lol.
Thanks Blag when I did the echo enable command on my laptop it booted me out of adb but I didn't have a com port lol.
Thank you guys for so much help!

I have GSM version, R800i.
First, ##3424 and call button initiates call.
Second, your drivers don't have inf file.

You know, guess I'll have to quit it.
My phone's USB PID is E15D and it's not listed anywhere in inf files and I can't even start instalation via device manager. When I manually edit PID in inf to E15D, instalation fails with message install class is not present or valid.
EDIT: OK, after more editing I successfully installed it, but QPST still can't detect it (it's GSM R800i).
EDIT 2: Got it working in the end thanks for your drivers
huh those werent pulled from my computer they were downloaded from website thats how i was able to install the drivers there not attached to my phone in any way
uninstall what u got and retry

I am the only unlucky person in the world! I think it is because I am still on windows XP. I will no longer put off installing Windows 7. Them drivers are not working for me at all. I just get the sony ericsson device with adb drivers showing up in my device manager. The other devices there are SEC HUSUB and they always have that problem symbol, the one with the yellow question mark. I try to install the drivers from their location and I get the message they don't have any information pertaining to the hardware.
Thanks though!
you have to manually edit inf files.

G900P Diagnostic Mode & GSM Bands

Hi all,
I have been having some trouble following a guide on how to add GSM+LTE bands to this device. Specifically, I am struggling to connect to this device in Diagnostic Mode.
I am running Windows 7 x64. I have installed Samsung USB Driver v1.5.45.00. I have tried an updated driver but I seem to have had less issues with this version. I have also tried using Qualcomm USB Drivers For Windows (QD Loader) but when I select this folder to search for an alternative driver instead of the one Windows assignes I have to manually select an *.inf file and the options (HD-USB QDLoader 9XXX) does not make any sense to me which driver is required for my device.
I can run ##DIAG# in the Phone app and bring up PhoneUtil which brings up a menu to select CDMA MODEM / PDA and I have used both with no success. This menu allows me to access RNDIS+DM+MODEM. If I try to use other applications to switch to CP from AP in other USB settings or PDA to MODEM the phone disappears in device manager.
In QPST Configuration I have to untick "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic ports only" to show the port and select the device. If I continue and use Software Download to back up the xQCN (NV memory) file it gets stuck at 12% and gives me an error "Could not Communicate in Diagnostic Mode"
If I use CDMA Workshop to do a backup the files hex just shows 00's and EFS Professionals backup is the same.
I have tried using stock Lollipop 5.0 firmware an enabling CP logging, rooted 5.0, a custom ROM including CM and I am currently running rooted 6.0.1 firmware.
I used Idoneapps paid service to find the SPC for my device but I don't believe there is any equivalent service to enable or disable the bands on my device.
All I can consider is wrong is the possibility of not having the right drivers but I have no idea where to find the right ones. I am at a bit of a dead end, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

man, if anyone can shed some light on this, itll breathe some new life into my phone. I looked for the very same thing a while back as i switched to H2O wireless using AT&T towers and its working, but just on HSPA+ and thats because all of the LTE bands arent unlocked on my phone. QXDM and QPST are the tools we need, but the driver issues are whats stopping me too. Anyone with insight would be greatly appreciated
