Samsung wave forum? - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi guys, maybe im posting this thread totally wrong. But my girlfriend owns de Samsung Wave, yet i don't see any development/discussion forum somewhere. Isnt bada opensource???
Please let me know why the wave isnt represented on this forum. Thnx!

I would think that's because it runs Samsung's Bada OS, and xda-developers only covers Windows Mobile and Android.

Aah yes, i guess that would be the reason. Shame thought, its a nice device wich needs some nice roms :

What do you mean with collaboration ?
I'm a new member but would like to know something about the past of this community
There was someone apparently from Samsung who showed up and claimed they wanted to get in touch with the community. Think someone called tommy? Dunno, but he just went MIA..too much effort involved? Or maybe they found a small group and connected with them?
Thank you for the information. But was there ever anyone who checked if he was really form samsung ?
Maybe it was just a bad joke of someone....
I don't think there is any collaboration. Otherwise Samsung would have solved a lot of bugs by now
No there was! I was part of the question asking team. The questions were all sent to samsung and xda is awaiting replies
Galaxy S - no point in writing rom or kernel constantly changing!
Well, the so-called collaboration failed miserably.
It was 'samsungjohn' I believe who commenced a thread/s across multiple models to allow Samsung users to post ideas etc or something like that.
The amount of abuse from users forced xda to completely stop or remove the threads.
As a result it never really got off the ground and if I were samsungjohn I wouldn't even bother again.
Kind of a waisted opportunity I believe but many posters believe it was just PR crap. I guess we will never know.

This took me 1 minute to find.

You should always think 10 times before promising something like this. Now I hope you are ready to play 24x7 customer support for your friend if the custom ROM you intend to use has bugs. (Assuming you get that far, but, looking at your basic skills like searching a forum, it looks unlikely)
Really?!?!?! ALL chicks?
Damnnn... I must visit the ace forums some time.

[Q] can any on port an app for me or help me to do it... if possible

Hi all...
Im just wondering if its actully possible to port or even eddit the files of an .ipa so it can be made to an .apk? I wanting call of duty zombies and as iphone and ipad peices of crap are the only things to have the game, im just wondering if theres a chance i can even have it on my xoom?
Thanks

I think you posted in the wrong forum. You will probably get a better response by sending this sort of request directly to the publisher or developer of the game. if they get enough interest in a specific platform they may very well port it to that platform.
if you are serious about porting it yourself then just start doing it. you are in an android developer forum. start the tutorials and post questions in the appropriate place!
Yeah ano am in a dev forum but it was just a thing to see if any has started or cud help me do it. I dnt have the fogyest about porting thats why iv posted

[Q] when it's the time for the i9001 to get our own place

Why don't we have our own place in the xda forum?
It's a totaly different phone we look the same as the i9000 but the hardware is not a like at all!!
That's right. Totally different.

I think it's a good idea. Combining the thread here is not very neat.
Existing threads are easily overlooked.

Next question are there any rules or specific things that are required to get a main section? for the i9001.
What wintel_mac say's it is now very cluttered
Yes, please, different section for us please. The community is starting to grow. I have made a thread regarding a problem with my i9001 and it got lost with the i9000 threads.

Time for i9001 to rise.

+1 this phone is unique and needs a home of its own.
if this phone had been called a Galaxy Brilliant it would of got its own place.
why did the galaxy W or Galaxy S2 get a place they are all Galaxy phones.
A Galaxy S isnt a Galaxy S Plus, Get it sorted!
Maybe due to lower popularity of the phone and activity? When i first heard about the + i was thinking they are not different at all xD.
Well, we got 3 stable roms, 1 ICS in progress, couple of kernels, recovery mode, root, deodexe, etc. I would say we got pretty much everything, so we deserve a new section.

I agreed. Although one mod has explain it, I still counldn't help but to say this,
even galaxy R gets their own thread and not us? If someone wants to say S+ is almost similiar as S, then take a look at galaxy R and S2. why don't combine R along with S2 since according to XDA "The Samsung Galaxy R is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II that is less expensive". well?
our phone might be less developer but gives us time. it's not even a year yet. If after 2 years and our section is still poor then I understand if XDA decides not to gives us a section. But for what I see now, it is growing.
and this, maybe someone could convience mod to add our device to the list http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416406
+1 for i9001 section
Lol, our phone is not even in that list...this is not fair.

Signed. Will share on social network accounts in my signature.
Signed. This is really a good movement, I hate seeing my awesome phone is just a sub forum of i9000. Slaps in the face.
Signed! We deserve this!
Signed because we deserve that.
Signed. Well deserved.
I aint gonna work. Why:
1: Wrong place to ask.. There is a section on xda where we can ask this
2: Ive aske a moderator several times and got no answer.
I doubt we even get one but i signed anyway

Oh, please, stop making these kind of threads. this is like the tenth thread about getting a full subforum in the last year, and none of them have worked, and this one wont either!
The moderators of xda have made their decision a long time ago (see one of the sticky threads), and wont change their minds about it. I9001 will simply not get a subforum and especially not now anymore. The device has been out for 1.5 years, and new forums are only given to new / recent devices.
Yes, i know, having only one subforum is far from ideal, but sometimes you just got to live with things like this...
