Hey guys I screwed up and looped my x with the framework-res apk. I renamed it to bak and it looped. Is there any way I can flash it from adb or some other program back to the bootloader or recovery screen?
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I unlocked my bootloader using HTCDEV. Used the Clockwork Mod CMD installer (fastboot recovery recovery-clockwork etc)
I am now inside the clock work recovery and chosen the zip file and it has
1.Mount system to patch
4.Updating system files.
Flashing Completed
Install from sdcard complete.
Now when i reboot the phone it still just loads into HTC sense. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks
I trashed my rooted Lollipop ROM by renaming a system file & now it gets stuck in a bootloop. I was hoping to restore the old filename using adb. I can boot into stock recovery adb but it's stuck at sideload. Is there a way to change it to adb shell? Will renaming the system files back to their original names trip Knox?
EDIT - never mind, I just went for a reinstall
Sooo... I got into bootloop trying to install Xposed on rooted 8.1 Official. Aaand I have a pattern lock on.... oops
Is there a way to disable Xposed from ADB, or boot (tried the button press thing, I get the two vibes, but not the rest)?
OR
is there a way to decrypt /data with my pattern without being able to boot? (I can boot into twrp or stock recovery and run ADB commands)
OR
is a data wipe my only option?

Wipe is not your only option.
You should be able to flash the stock 8.1 boot image and start over.
Xposed and Magisk require a patched boot image.
Go to the ROM section and download the 8.1 official and flash the boot to both boot_a and boot_b.
It should boot normally just no rooted.
Oh yeah.. served me right for experimenting with my phone while half asleep on Sunday morning.. i just posted this out of desperation hoping I'd come back from church and someone would have posted a fix.. I kind of had a duh moment and realized it myself once I had a moment..
But yes, you're correct. I just had to flash the non patched boot image.. thanks!
I sent my phone in for repairs and so i had unrooted and relocked the bootloader, then factory reset. I just got my phone back today, its on build 10.5.13IN11AA.
I enabled USB Debugging and the option to unlock the bootloader, so then i went and unlocked the bootloader, but i can NOT get TWRP to boot so that I can install Magisk. I'm guessing i need the patched boot.img but i cant find that anywhere either.
Does anyone have a patched boot.img for the global variant on 10.5.13 they can link? Or am i doing this wrong?
I got this figured out. I downloaded Magisk Manager and installed it on my phone, then downloaded the entire 10.5.13 update from a link a found here and extracted the boot.img file. I used ADB to push it to my downloads folder on the phone and used Magisk to patch it. Then I copied it back to my PC and used fastboot to install it, done!

Just download payload dumper.
Download the firmware youre on
Extract payload.
Run payload dumper
Obtain boot.img from the output folder.
Pop it on your phone and patch it with magisk.
Flash with magisk.
I INSTALLED NEW VERSION TWRP RECOVERY IN ASUS ZENFONE MAX M1 BUT PHONE BOOTED STOCK RECOVERY AND MY PHONE BOOTING LONG TIME 15-20 MINTS
Did you unlock your bootloader first, if not, the recovery you wiped will restore itself, but if it cant...?
May also be caused by a/b partitioning? booting wrong boot slot..?
Yes I unlocked Bootloader this phone first time then flashed TWRP RECOVERY for official letest version from BUGJAEGER APP SUCCESSFUL but my phone BOOTING stock recovery AND system BOOTING 15-20 minutes
Because even though you unlocked bootloader, it is still stock bootloader, root it.
I try to many time to root but not working magisk, rootking & iroot but not working . Any suggestions ??
Get stock firmware for your fone.
It should be a zip.
extract that, go into the extracted folder, find boot.img
Place this boot.img in your adb folder
adb push boot.img /storage/emulated/0/Download (note: your dir may be slightly different, notice magisk looks in default folder 'Downloads'? Note the 's' ).
Then install magisk CANARY version, and point it to the boot.img now on your fone.
If your fone is online, it will flash your boot for you at this point. If it can ?
Make a backup of what magisk leaves in your fone. If it does not, backup your bootloader after it's complete, saves the hassle of being online everytime you need to root again
I flashed magisk boot.img now my phone stuck on fastboot mode how to fix ???
Did you flash it manually, via fastboot flash boot magisk_boot.img
or let magisk flash it while online? How did you go about it?
And what size is your bootloader? Some know I'm looking for 32mb bootloaders just now, not the 64mb ones
Also, do you know if your a/b partition?
What OS?
9,10,11,12?
I download boot.img on XDA then flashed magisk after reboot (magisk_patched-23000_YdcW1.img ) this file flashed fastboot mode on.
I don't know Bootloader size
Android 8
Check photo . This is right way ??
