Vibrant Alarm is garbage.. - Vibrant General
I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but this has happened twice to me now, in a week. I have the snooze set to 3x10 (which I find odd that you have to enable snooze in the first place) however, it doesn't always work, like this morning I hit snooze and once again the alarm never came back.
and I'm not hitting the wrong button, at least they used different colors for the two.
Mine is working great. Never had a problem and I actually love the new alarm clock. I thought it was strange to have to enable it, but I'm guessing it's because they gave you the ability to customize the snooze feature and just decided to have it turned off by default (not what I would've done but it wasn't that big of a deal to turn it on)
I have the same issue the alarm is pretty bad.

I have not seen that problem on my Vibrant.
But it does remind me of the good old days when I first got my G1 its stock alarm clock would just not work at all sometimes it was like a random chance of it going off.... made me late for work twice lol.
Same problem here.
This morning, I found that if I hit the volume down key instead of the snooze button, it works.
Also, anyone figure out what's the point of Smart Alarm?

Smart Alarm is an alarm that starts before your regular alarm lol... you can have it play rain sounds or morning bird chirps for 3 minutes before your alarm goes off.
I'm having issues with my alarm as well. This morning mine failed to go off at all, fortunately I set my touch as a backup.

For some reason it doesn't give me a snooze option when the smart alarm goes off.
Also I got to work late this morning because my alarm didn't go off at all. I had fallen to sleep using the "Sleepy Time" app and apparently when it's running, the alarm won't go off.
At least I hope it's that app because if it isn't then I have some unknown issue that makes the alarm unreliable.
Yeah I'm just gonna have to get me a cheap alarm clock... It's hard to trust it, i've been late twice now in a week...
i've used the alarm clock since the day it came out and it's never let me down yet. make sure you don't have a task killer that kills it before it can come on and that when you snooze you actually long-press on the button to do so. i'm sure i told you a bunch of stuff you already know/have tried, but i wanted to make sure.
I set my snooze to try it out and it only worked once. I think I had it set on 10 minutes, 3 times, and it didn't work.
Same problems here. I've got my Snooze set to "10 min, 5 times" and it doesn't work. I hit Snooze in the morning, then wake up an hour later and have to scramble to get ready for work.
I'm going to see if I can install the stock Android clock/alarm on it instead.
I use AlarmClock Plus instead of the stock program. No complaints so far.
Sounds like there may be a problem with snooze. I use the regular alarm and set 3 different times in the morning, all have worked since I setup the phone, but I dont use the snooze option.
I've had alarm issues on this and other samsung phones. They just don't work very well. I am using math alarm clock (paid app) now, can be found in the market. I love it and have had no issues. Plus I can't shut it off without looking at it which helps me, a very heavy sleeper, wake up.
What I've noticed is that if you have check marks on both the morning alarm and the normal alarm, in the same alarm profile, the morning alarm will go off first and only display the option of stopping that alarm, no snooze option appears on screen. The problem is that the morning alarm will stop all alarms in that alarm profile. So that back up alarm you set for 15 minutes after the morning alarm is also canceled once you stop it.
Making two alarm profiles fixed that problem for me.

I use Math Alarm in the market. It's a couple of bucks, but it might be the best non-root paid app I've ever used. You can set the math problems to varying degrees of difficulty and, for sound sleepers like me, it's a very useful tool.
I've never had a problem with the snooze that I can concretely tie to the application and not my sleepiness... but there have been some oddities. Tried snooze a few days ago and it worked fine, though.
Never had any troubles with the alarm going off (that would be hell). I actually like this alarm because it makes you press/hold instead of just tapping the dismiss/snooze button. That seems to help me actually wake up cause I have to think about it (as sad as that sounds...).
I personally have two physical alarms set.
1) 7:00am with 2 snoozes
2) 7:30am with no snoozes
So far I've used and messed with both since I've had my phone and like clock work they both haven't failed me once. I do however turn my phone off now and then and often my phone is off and when I am forced to get up at 6am to help the wife get out the door I go back to sleep and I rely on my phone after I turn it on to wake me back up.
Mine only snoozed once today although I had it set to do it 3 times.

Notifications any key disrupts them
I apologize if there is an obvious answer to this but this issue has been driving me mad for awhile now and I tried searching but if it's answered I cannot find it. I have been using DamageControl V1, 2.05, and presently Fresh 2.0d. Using the stock LockScreens that come with the ROM. What I find incredibly annoying is that if my phone gets any type of notification like Alarm or appointment reminder that pops up typically you have to slide down to dismiss it. However anyone touch of the hardware keys (especially the trackball) will make the notification disappear. It doesn't dismiss it but rather seems to sleep the warning. This is incredibly annoying since 90% of the day my phone is in my pocket and I am constantly having notifications "hidden/slept" because the trackball or another button is getting pressed. Does anyone know a way to block this behavior? it's really annoying with appointment reminders because once I hide/sleep them I can't get them to stop alarming 5 mins later and again it's in my pocket so I miss it. Thanks for any help.
Well if nobody has any suggestions to a fix can someone at least confirm this issue exists on their phones? it's easy to do just set an alarm 1 minute in the future and then turn you phone off (standby) whent he alarm pops up on the lockscreen. just move the the trackball slightly and the alarm will "disappear" it has apparently slept the alarm as it will alarm again in 5 mins.. you can disable the alarm by going into the alarm and unchecking it. Thanks in advance.
Alarm Problem - Can't turn it off
Hi, I have problem with alarm. I have setup 3 alarms. All are from monday to friday. 1. 5:45 2. 6:00 3. 6:15 So at 5:45 start ringing and swipe DOWN do not turn off alarm. I can't silence alarm, only way to do this is if I turn off phone. This hass happen on stock ROM, now when I have rooted rom and Im wipe all data is same. Have someone similar problem? How can I fix it? Thanks for any help.
why 3 alarms? You can set the option of longer snooze if u whish. you can also set the behavior of side buttuns during alarm. Btw. I dont have any issues with turning off the alarm.

Click to expand... Click to collapse I need 3 larms because snooze is not option because I can by accident turn it off and sleep few hours more Im set side buttons to stop alarm, but it do not do anything, but Im not shure if Im first swipe screen and then press side buttons... Today I will test another alarm application and see how work... Also I have everyday setup one backup alarm clock at 6:00 because I don't trust anymore phone alarm clock(cca. 3-4 years when Im start using smartphones: QTEK S100)
tried the 3 alarms option this morning. swipe-to-turn-off works normal. do you have any non default screen lock, etc aps installed?
JaykaySLO said: tried the 3 alarms option this morning. swipe-to-turn-off works normal. do you have any non default screen lock, etc aps installed? Click to expand... Click to collapse No I don't have anything like that. I have installed: -Better Alarm Clock (On Stock ROM Im not use it but with this alarm clock alarms normaly work) -CacheCleaner(On Stock ROM Im not use it) -bMonitor Server Monitor (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -Paper Toss (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -Racing Live -Virtual Beer Free (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -GScript Lite (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -BatteryTime Lite -AndroZip File Manager (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -Google Sky Map -Speedtest.net Speed Test -EStrongs file Explorer -Smooth Calendar -3G Watchdog -Barcode Scanner -ConnectBot -Documents To Go (On Stock ROM Im not use it) -Google Maps 4.1.1 This is all what I have installed. Now on rooted ROM I have also A2SD.
Please detail the actual behaviour and expected behaviour clearly. It sounds like you are expecting, upon turning off the first alarm, the other 2 will turn off as well. Even if you untick/retick they will say "Alarm sounds in 15 minutes" (or the equiv.).

I swipe down on screen to dismiss it but it do not stop producing sound. Only way to stop sound is turning off phone. I don't want when I "stop" first alarm that other two is stopped to, for this I can use snooze... Im fix problem: -Delete all alarms in STOCK Alarm clock -Download: Better Alarm Clock -Setup same alarms And today on morning Im get dialog with dismiss and snooze button and Im normaly stop alarm...
me too Sync yesterday I have exactly the same problem: can't turn off/snooze/silence the first alarm and I have to turn off the phone to stop the sound. I'll root the device this weekend, I hope that will fix it.

turn it upside down I just use 1 alarm, when it goes off i turn the phone on its belly and its stops for x minutes. When I get up (turning it a few times) I turn it off...
I guess it is a BUG: 1. setup your phone for alarm 2. before the alarm started to be ringing, turn on the screen (wake it up by pushing the top button) 3. when the alarm starts to ring, drag down the slide button 4. enjoy the ring for ever ))) Reason: when the alarm activated and starts to ring the sense not updated fast enough the slide down button. therefore the sense just "thinks" you want to unclock the screen, instead of adding the function next to it to dismiss the alarm
Had this happen to me this morning. Got an sms just before the alarm went off. After closing the sms box there was no way to stop the alarm, had to restart the phone. Very annoying. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

Alaram Bug I to am facing the same issue, is there any fix for this?
Happened to me this morning too, anyone knows if it works better with third party alarm installed? I received an sms, handcent installed, coming back from bathroom it was ringing for about 15 minutes. I removed the battery...
That sounds like a pain in the butt . No idea of a fix but there are plenty of 3rd party alarms out there with much better functions than the standard alarm. better alarm clock , alarm clock xtreme and alarm clock pro v2 to name but a few .. they also have options to set a math question on wake so no need for 3 alarms a day plus can set lots of alarms with different times for different days . i use alarm clock pro and it removes the lock screen altogether wakes with the phone on main screen so shouldn't end up facing the lock screen bug! There's an appbrain link to 2 alarms in my thread link in sig
had this problem once switched to gentle alarm and fixed the problem
I have this same issue. About half the time, if the phone is in use in some form and the alarm goes off, there is no way to turn it off. Occasionally I get the snooze/dismiss option, but more often than not I end up having to shut the phone down to make it stop. Would love to try any suggestions!
Clock + alarm problem
I have problem with alarm clock. example: I set alarm at 7am, but when I wake up at 7:20, it still havent ringed. I wake up phone (still in lock screen) and I can see how the time changes from 6:xx to 7:20 and then it rings. Basicly the clock isnt moving up as it should while in sleep mode, so my alarm didnt ring up! I need help with this!

Reboot your phone.
somewhere readed you have to "volume up" while in alarm - tryed, it doesnt help. Today woke up at 7:14, alarm was at 7:15 - it even didnt ring at that time... Trying reboot
Sometimes it happened to my phone but most time it rings correctly. This might happened when some apps/services stuck in the background so the clock also stuck. So, if there is lots of apps installed there is great chances of clock stuck. A good auto app killer may help.
You must not kill the Clock process with any task killer! I had the same problem because I've killed my Clock process
alarm clock late/snooze
not sure if this was always the case with the S5 since I switched from an S4 on Sprint, but my alarm clock has been set to 7:14am during the weekdays and what I've noticed is that it will actually go off at the time set PLUS the snooze amount. So the default snooze time is "5 minutes, 3 times" and what happens is the alarm actually goes off at 7:19 despite the alarm setting saying 7:14am! I've verified this several times thinking that in my sleepy state I must have pressed snooze, but I haven't! The weird thing is if I set the alarm for that day, it goes off as usual. If I set the alarm for the next day or later, this issue happens. Anyone else notice this or am I missing something in one of the settings?
Alarm doesn't sound when in sleep mode
I use Alarm Clock Extreme. I never had any problems with the alarm going off in they morning when I used the same app on my Nexus 6. But now with the Galaxy S7 Edge, when the phone is in sleep mode, the alarm doesn't go off in they mornings until I wake up the phone by hitting the home or power buttons. It's caused me to be late to work a few times these past few weeks. Any advice would be helpful. I have the alarms set up identically on both devices.
I believe you have to set it so it doesn't "optimize" the alarm app. I missed one alarm and then realized that might be the case. Every so often it will completely remove the widget as well. It's pretty annoying but I think it's more of Marshmallow issue than a Samsung thing.
Yep...that could definitely be the problem Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
