most people are not interested in java apps, they are old and boring.
jbed can be adb pushed into system to work but on Remix HD adb does not work well because system apps are not in system/apps/
thats why you have to flash.
What have you installed that is java which is a must have?

Good morning all!
I've tried to search both on this forum and on google in general, but I'm having trouble finding a good answare to my question.
I recently changed from a SD ROM to Pongsters great NAND build. Had to use DFT, due to problems with the CWM. I'm now on Gingerbread - excellent!
Unfortunately I live in this weird country called Norway and we use an alphabet with three more letters (Æ, Ø and Å). Is there anyway I could get these three letters into my gingerbread keyboard, any language pack?
I found this link by searching, but I'm not sure how to install it. It seems like i need CWM.
My temporary solution was to download a 2.3 modification of the "Scandinavian keyboard". It works, but I'm loosing the famous gingerbread keyboard.
A dictionary would too, almost be overkill, awesome.
All help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi mate, maybe this package can help you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875202
the above is an add on keyboard, you will need to switch to it through keyboard selection.
Otherwise you can push the content of your CMW zip with adb (i suggest to pull the original files before).
adb remount
(optional, gets the original file from your phone) adb pull /system/app/LatinIME.apk "local Location" (ex. c: or /home/user/desktop)
adb push "replacement APK file location" /system/app/
(optional, gets the original file from your phone) adb pull /system/lib/libjni_latinime.so "HDD Location" (ex. c: or /home/user/desktop)
adb push "replacement lib file location" /system/lib/
then reboot and you will use the new KB.
Cheers.
The keyboard looks nice, but as far as I can see there are no Norwegian (NO) alternate.
Anyhow, the ADB-way seems interesting. Never tried, or even heard, about ADB before, but that's why we have tutorials and forums, right?
Downloading the SDK at this very moment.

Once you go ADB you won't back.
It's not that difficult, if you have some nerd past it will be very easy, otherwise it's plenty of tutorials, just follow them and you won't do it wrong.
Just a small hint,
with CWM always backup before.
w/out CWM always titanum backup.
Cheers.
Maybe a long shot, but have u tried SwiftKey? It supports the Norwegian language, u can set it to two language packages so it shows suggestions in both languages and no need to switch anymore.
I use it German/English and it is IMO just awesome. In particular after a few days using it it is predicting almost whole sentences by it's own.
Just a suggestion without messing with pushing commands ect. ;-)

First post.
Okay, so I've already searched the Desire forum for any sign of custom rings for the Sense 3.0 lockscreen ports, and I haven't found any. I can only see them in the other forums, such as this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137442 in the Desire HD Forum. I really wanted the standard one, so I downloaded it, and tried to flash (thinking that maybe it'll work because my Desire has the Sense 3.0 lockscreen port).
However, the installation fails when I try to flash it in recovery. Never giving up hope, I opened the zip in ES File Explorer, tried to manually install the apk's (fusion.apk and idlescreen_base.apk). Only the idlescreen apk manages to get to the "warning" that you'l replace a system app, while the fusion apk gets a "Parse error". I didn't attempt to install the idlescreen apk alone because it'll probably need the fusion.apk to work (And I might probably mess up something if I did).
So my question is, can it be ported? (Or at least find a way to manually create them for the Desire) Or is there really no other way for it to work? (I'm running AcesMod007 v34 btw.)
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Okay.. I just saw this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078621 and I think this is solved. (Silly me. )

hi, the thinkpad tablet never came with anything lower than 3.1, also that isn't a valid model number for this tablet.
I think you must have something other than a thinkpad tablet
Cheers
Tom
Check here, shows the instructions for that model.

Yes i know this thread! But its just about rooting and installing google maps and the market... but the market in this thread isn't working anymore! i think the version is to old...
but i hate the lenove OS, i would like it to install another one or maybe develop my own one if CWM would work
it's this one: h**p://appserver.lenovo.com.cn/shop/shop_Detail.aspx?gdsid=A2100014142
Unfortunately, it's said that Lenovo has no any upgrade plan for this pad. LePad S1(Y1011) is the first mode of pad from Lenovo. the product, particularly its deep customized OS, is in very low maturity. short after its released to the market, it's ended production and replaced by A1 series pad. that's the situation, so disappointed, and angry. and finally, its ROM leaked.
i searched some Chinese forum and got the following leaked ROM:
* LePad S1 Ver_Wifi ROM here
* LePad S1 Ver_3G ROM here
* resource pack here
hope it helpful to you guys who may interested look into the code
Thanks for this informations! Does someone know what we can do with this files?
________________________________________________________________________
This files are working! While I tried to install Gapps i bricked my Y1011 and i was able to reflash everything by using fastboot and LePad S1 Ver_3G ROM.
thx again for the files
hi i have the same tablet and really heavy problems. i look at all chinese forums with google translation and it is horrible to find anything about a working custom firmware.
if you instal the upper firmware it will be nice to tell us something about the changes. when i want to download i didnt work download allways stopp. the name is the same like the orriginal number.
im loking for a stable full android version. im read that there is a chinese caled chita he costum firmware for the lephone and the lephone works normal withe leos like the lepad.
so if anybody knew news about the lepad y1011 it wil be nice to write it here.

yes i was able to install the firmeware above but ther are no changes! its just a leaked original version
at the moment i'm uploading the firmewares to uploaded.to
watch the 1. post
Thanks for your post. So i wont install the leaked rom if it isnt a full android. Do you know anything about Chitas Roms.
I worked with Costum Rom for my Archos Tablet and for HTC sensation xl but i m not god enough to custom a own one.
But i got Market place working without Gaaps. I have some mistakes with 492 but only by a few apps.
Thanks for upp the Files if I break it its easy to unbrick it. I will download it.
If some from China will inform us it will be very nice.
you have been able to install the market?! could you give me tutorial how you have done this? and thefiles you installed?
everytime i've tried it i bricked my device
(gerne auch auf deutsch )
At First German is on this forum not allowed. Forum rules (mir wärs auch lieber)
I have got market work with some mistakes on some files got mistake 492 if you find the APK on other Place the most will work but not with autoupdate.
Some Games will not work bcause the OS2.0.0 The Hardware is god enough
So here are how to do it
Install LeTools on Windows 7 PC. it is assumed that LenovoStore on your Lepad is already connected usin wifi.
Connect USB cable with Windows 7 PC
unzip attached file to your PC.
1. Copy all attached files to your LePad using LeTools in any known directory.
2. Use LePad filemanager and click on z4root.apk and install it. Its icon will appear on last Desktop
3. Use LePad file manager and click on Root_Explorer.apk and install it. Its icon will appear on last Desktop
4. Click on Z4root icon to run it. select temporary root permission
5. Click on Root_Explorer icon. It may say that it needs a restart to gain root access. so re run.
6. Now little hardwork. Find the folder where you copied the files. You have to copy following files to the folder /system/app
a. Vending.apk
b. Network location.apk
c. Market updater.apk
d. talk.apk
e. googleServicesFramework.apk
f. googlePartnerSetup.apk
7. Touch the file name and hold for a second, menu will appear. Select copy and go on top of listed files where .. is there for going to previous directory. keep going back till you reach the root folder.
8. Go to folder /system/app and touch the copy button at bottom of LePad screen.
9. Repeat the process for all above files.
10. Change the permissions on each copied file by touching the file name and holding for a second, from menu selecting permissions.
Select permissions as follows
User - Read and write
Group - Read
Others - Read
11. Now shutdown the LePad and then Power On.
12. Use file Manager and go to folder where you initially copied the files. Touch the Vending.apk to install it.
13. Now you should have Google market icon on Last Desktop.
14. All the best. You are needed to have a gmail account to use Google market.
I will look were i can Upload the files. If you start and stop the market it will automatik update to the 4.3.3

Hi there, onto my third Android device (Rooted Zte Blade and Rooted Hanspree Hansspad) and I know find myself stuck sorting my new Defy out. I've rooted it with superoneclick and have hit a wall with 2nd Init Recovery, mainly because it seems to have vanished! It's not on market or Appsbrain. Can anyone help?
I plan on using CM7.1 (I use it on my Blade and love its stability) and was also thinking of duel booting with the latest nightly of CM9. I knew one of these days I was going to struggle with rooting one of these, the first two were stupidly easy!
If anyone could help it would be massively appreciated! Oh, and it's my first post because I'm switching from MoDaCo, don't get me wrong, they are cool, but they have barely anything on the Defy and everyone knows you guys rock!
/endsuckup
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028427
Use this first. Then install Rom Manager and from it install CM7.1 It will aslo install latest 2nd init boot and latest CWM
Have Fun with Defy
BTW:
I have it today also xD
Thanks a lot! Especially for the speedy reply! Now I have to really turn my brain on, ADB Shell is not my favourite thing!
developer.android.com^sdk/index.html
(change ^ to /)
install ADB from here then use this tutorial :
wiki.cyanogenmod.com^wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK
(change ^ to /)
Then other rest is easy as hell
I've got ADB and Java already installed. thing is, when in CMD i type adb shell and it comes out with
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Man I hate cmd stuff!
My Android SDK folder is in my root C drive so I am currently in
c:\AndroidSDK>
Any help?
"In the "Variable values" section, add at the very end the location of the tools & package-tools folder, with a semicolon separating these two paths from the rest, e.g. %SystemRoot%;C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools;C:\android-sdk-windows\tools."
This should help
EDIT :
But watch your path to SDK's. My path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\tools
Your's should be same. DON'T DELETE ANY PATH !! Only ADD this two to the rest.
More easy, try this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212&highlight=2nd+init ;-)
2nd init on defy+
Hey, guys! Im a newbie here, soon celebrating one month with my first android phone, an mb256 running 2.3.6. I've just rooted and I'm planning to flash MIUI on it, but I'm not sure if 2nd init is compatible with my device. Just don't want to get locked out or something if anything goes wrong.
Also, does anyone about a good guide for flashing MIUI on my device?
Hi,
I have also a MB526 running 2.3.6 and the SndInitDefy_2.0.apk works perfectly on my device. Enjoy! ;-)
Thanks! Works great!
Any tips on how to install MIUI (Galnet ICS stable)?^^
