So while bord at work I decided to turn my wimax radio on for the fun of it an to my surprise it connected to a network. Signal strength fluctuated between fair and poor, and speed test results weren't spectacular: 3 to 4 mbps down and 0.3 up. But yay 4g!

Now that Boston has FINALLY Got Sprint 4G what is everyone take on its data speeds? I'm waiting for my EVO 4G and Epic 4G to come in. I ordered them last week and cant wait to see what the speeds are. I was shocked to find out that a friend of mine was able to get Vonage working using the Sprint 4G network.
I'm getting 9mbps consistently in Cambridge.

In Quincy i am getting between 5mbs and i hit 11 at the Thomas Crane Public Library. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

So i passed by the tmobile kiosk in a mall in Wilmington, De where we have hspa+ and i did a speed test next to the mytouch4g and my slide came out faster, lol! The 4g was 2.2 mbps down and .76 up and my slide was 2.7 mbps down and .79 up. I wish i could get a pic. Ya'll try it out if youre able to.

I live in SLC, UT and we have HSPA+. I can barely get above .5 Mbps up/down :-(

Then i would venture to say you outside of hspa+ since that is what i get in tipical 3g areas

That's funny Wish you would have taken a pic.
I would venture to say though, that you (and the mytouch4G) were not inside a 4G area. Might get 3G where the phones were but since the hspa+ signal doesn't travel as far (keeps the data rates a bit more stable) the mall blocks out the 4G. It's all speculation though, maybe they will have a radio update pretty soon because the radio isn't locking on to the 4G signal very well.
Anyone been getting pretty slow network speed tests in Miami Florida?
4g can't seem to go past 350kb/s and 3g is around .4 mbit according to speedtest....

2.48 down, .85 up. Indoors in Miami, Coral Way and 22nd Ave. On occasions I do get 7dwn and 1up. What's up with that?
I've been thinking of getting Clear at home to replace my Comcast but those speeds are holding me back. Hopefully once Sprint/Clear finishes rolling out new cities they'll expand and beef up the cities they've finished, at least thats my hope.

Yeah it is a bit disappointing... Around west kendall they just lit up the 4g about a week ago however I feel that my 3g got worse.... Gay!

I'm up in broward & inside my house the 3g sux ass & 4g can't Evan get a signal , out aide though its a hole different thing I get full 3g & 4G if I'm in range I'm getting pretty good signal .
I work in Miami lakes & the signal is not that great either .
My theory is that the 3g is about to be Evan slower as soon as they have more 4G towers , every 4G tower that comes up we will have less 3g signal

I live in green bay wi.... and have always got horrible 3g speeds. Today tried speed test, and got 2.8 mbs. Usually only got around 300-500 kbs. Maybe sprints vision network is in place here!!

Wow, I had those 3G Speeds back when I had the HTC Hero.
Rev.B should be faster.
Your actually running the 3G speeds we should have but don't. So it would be even better for you when/if Rev. B rolls out.

well that beat my ass here in avon park fl i get about 56k-100k if i am lucky
i am always on roam so i get vz and is better but not 500k
I'm in Guthrie OK and our speed has been getting better too. Used to be 500 kbps and now close to 2mb.

Your Lucky, im getting about 100-250kbs, and thats on a good day
Wow. I just ran a test after reading this and my speeds were the highest they have ever been.
2.4mb/700kb. Earlier jnvthe week I was on here wining about tower problems. I wonder if the problems I was having was due to some upgrade. I never ever have my expectations exceeded. Thanks sprint! Knocks on wood.

Appleton wi gets around 2mb down 800 up on average. Although when actually downloading something, that's a different story

I feel lucky this is average at work, but at home is a different story
just have sprint reset your data plan, tell them, u are having problem receiving txt and they will reset it for u. that happens when u flash different roms to ur phone!
