Not sure if this is allowed, since the original thread and the part2 thread were both closed, but life goes on and so does ROM testing.
My findings regarding JPM R1 + JPM777.
I Odin'd JVD from a previous 2.1 ROM and then installed the JPM_R1 rom, did the Factory reset and installed the JPM777 Rom.
Rebooted, waited a few minutes, reboot again and then did the Google/market login.
Everything is working fine and have been running it now for about 12hours. Once I did have the 3G connection disappeared and could not do any data connection. I enabled airplane mode, disable it again and data/3G came right back - working fine.
What exactly is the problem with the GPS? Mine is working, although it does not show the GPS icon in the notif.bar. My Google maps are working and I do see my position, very accurately and on track.
I have not tried any navigation yet - is that part of the issue?
I do understand that Eugene said the GPS drivers are not available for 2.2, but how then is it working - is it using the wifi positioning - even when on the road?
I have restored all my apps with Titanium backup - about 45 apps. I have not experienced any FC's so far, accept the the data/3G problem once.
It's an emulation. It uses GSM data to find your position using base-stations. It's not GPS but works in big cities with 100-200 meters accuracy.
I still wanna know why the second thread was closed...
It just wasn't opened and it's pending a response from eugene.

Just a guess, but I think eugene is tired of all the flaming and n00b's .
It has gotten very much out of hand here on XDA and with their "One Mod Per Forum" policy not enough mods to police it ...
And just my opinion but a lot of the mods they do appoint are either too busy with other things, do not have the knowledge/experience to deal with it, or just don't care.

Sorry that this thread is kinda getting off topic.
But Eugene's thread did get back on topic, so I don't know why he didn't just hand out infractions to the people who flamed & we all could of gone on.
It is much simpler then going and closing a whole thread.

Well he more or less "moved" it to another site, at least that is what he said on twitter.
But back on topic ,
I tested out his 2.2 , and it worked fine, I live in BFE and was getting 50M "gps" locks on google maps, so not sure what is up with that, but of course Copilot would not find the GPS ...
No other GPS software apps for me....
To be honest, I do not have any TRUE GPS related apps like, Mytracks CoPilot, etc. I do have Weatherbug and Flip Weather & Clock and they both seem to be very happy with 'My location' only.
I guess it would become more of an GPS issue if the app was more GPS based.
Any idea of where to look for Eugene's new thread as stated a previous response?

I dont get it, where the hell do these guys pop out one after the other. Cant you just wait till the devs are done porting it. It's not a childs play to port it or one days work. It takes time. Deal with it. It's a Waste of time to always answer these questions. First reade the forum then ask.

i already set up the environment.
AS far as i know: r0bin and schlund started to get 3G fixed. I need to know what the current state of the fix is(where they stuck, what they have found out about the problem etc.).
If u look at any of. Schlunds posts his skype address is at the bottom, I think its Schlund2k9.
I think he awnsers all dev questions there

1) I'm very busy on my Business and daily job this few months .
2) I temp didn't have my HD2 .. why ? 'my son using it now'
3) I change my phone to Samsung Note .. great phone Lol ..perhaps will post up my Build on that thread if got spare time

In my many years at XDA i have seen so many developers..move from one phone to another and thus moving from one thread to other.. and though they are on the very same site .. but still people do not get to see them and they are missed .. mccm.... Nice work posting those ROMs and keeping the HD2 updated ..

Hmm, like the other WIP Sense 4.0 ROM which claims to have had a ROM booted for a few months now, but for some reason they haven't released it to the public? Anyway, hope you guys can do wonders with this
why don't you just release a very alpha version?

As a suggestion, I would say use one of the two reserved posts for announcements. That way those don't get buried under the thread. It also gives one place to see what's new. You can always keep adding to the post (like a changelog).

A Bug
First of all, i wanna thank u for presenting this awesome rom
I have it for a couple of days now...
Everything is smooth , clean and it's all working fine :good:
However, there's only one problem, which is "the sound" :crying:
The whole sound seems kind of distorted
i hope u can fix this so everything could be perfect :fingers-crossed:

As this is a CM based rom, it has CM bugs i.e. random call quality.
Flash this via recovery for call sound

I tried the chinese modem but the call volume was low and I kept dropping/losing signal. Could be because the bands used aren't working to well with my service provider.
But it's all good now, we don't need the chinese modem and we can use the latest TW modem for your country and enjoy TW level call quailty

Well in the end it remains the same that WB_AMR is not supported in one and not activated in the other right? In the end both say that theyre not capable.
To each his own. Every person out here has a different experience altogether with different aspects.
My signal strength increased (to be frank).
I stay inin India. China and India have good trade relations and are a border apart maybe that is why the chinese modem worked wonders for me haha

Its always how you apply and follow steps.
Many flash things and get there phones screwed, many dont. Its all about implementing
Many devs have many problem patches and solutions to everything. And a few devs have some other viewpoint that is correct too
So basically, in the end we got our random call bug solved. And we ought to flash something before we get good quality

Bluetooth once you disconnect - it does not connect automatically - and even if you manually collect , does not work again. It requires to pair each and every time...
Secondly with wi-fi - it does not seem to store the password and I need to connect by providing passwords.. every time...
any fixes ??

I couldn't test this rom yet! & don't know about bluetooth bug, but some CM based ROMs have same wifi issue.
Unthick the "always scan" option, in the wifi Advanced Options menu. & reboot.
