Any chance anyone with the koush recovery who has not flashed the mr_guru rom could make a nandroid backup of their phone (if possible) and upload it to mediafire or some place where I can download it? I have a idea in development that might help the community.

Hi!
I wonder, does Nandroid backup (ClockWork Recovery) count as a current ROM backup? Even if it isn't a ZIP file? Is it usable in case of a new ROM flashing goes wrong? Is this it?
Why are there so many advices to make a .zip file of your backup? I'M CONFUSED over this... When do I have to make a .zip file out of my backup. Furthermore, a Nandroid backup makes a folder with several files in it... Do I make a .zip file of that folder?
And last but not the least...
What is the difference between Cyanogen Recovery Image and ClockWorkMod Recovery?
PLZ guys, don't be angry with me for asking. Gotta start learning sometime and need to have all the answers, all of the basics covered before advancing to the next level.
...Just a simple answer... PLZ?
In short:
- Which backup is which?
- When to make a .ZIP file?
- How to make a .ZIP file (out of which folder?)?
- The difference between Cyanogen Recovery Image and ClockWorkMod Recovery?
Thank you!
I already told you... you dont need to zip the nandroid backup. Just go to clockwork and when you do a nandroid restore, your backups will be there to select. No need to zip anything.....

you cant do a nandroid backup on that recovery, only a tar backup
Oh, ok. Is there a different recovery that would allow me to do a nandroid backup? Or do you have a link to a tut I can follow for a tar backup? I've been searching forever and I can't find anything.
I wanted to flash a custom ROM and decided to do a nandroid backup first. Every time i did one it did not contain the system.img file which means that the stock ROM wasn't backed up. It only backed up recovery and boot. I have the official CWM from clockwordmod.com.
Please help.
BTW. I know that i can use the stock system image from google, but it's much easier to just recover a nandroid backup.

What version of CWM are you running?
So I have A little bit of a problem here, I want to make a nandroid backup so that I can safely install a Marshmallow ROM, now my problem is this: my memory is almost completely full. So I cannot make the backup on my phone using CWM recovery. I read about the way to make nandroids directly to a PC, but is it possible to restore those too/open the backup to view the files? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi everyone!
Installing a stock or custom ROM is not easy at all on the general mobile 5 plus.I'm still facing a bootloop, so would it be possible if you have someone sharing one of them these TWRP nandroid backups (stock or custom rom but stable)✌
Please upload a stock rom flashable twrp or nandroid backups!
