Well guys...
I am one of almost all bada phone owners who were very sad to find out out that samsung doesnt allow voip apps on its store...
But quite a time back an app called RockeTalk was released in the store which kinda seemed like a voip app... My friend and I after loads of trying and wasting our time ended up making a call to each other.... Ya that apps crap...
But is'nt this a sign showing that Samsung has allowed voip apps to the Store...
Well i actually do not know anything and this is just a speculation...
But if its actually true... we can urge a lot of companies like fring and skype to make their respective apps for bada..... or even make our own !!!
Thanks
Samsung Had, i repeat, had allowed VoIP apps in India during the month of April-May, It is now dis-continued, i believe? I can't even find RocketTalk on the app store!
Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to have my phone play "This number is not in service" when certain numbers call it. I have been searching around but haven't found anything useful.
Unfortunately, Google voice is not an option. My phone is rooted running CM10 and I also have the Xposed framework installed if that's of any help. Is there anything that can accomplish this?
Thanks

There are a lot of apps in the Store that will block calls. This one sends an automatic sms to the caller.
For example: "I told u to not call more" hahahahaha
EDIT. Well this one seems to be better
I am on a Galaxy S8 and Android 7.0.
Following this guidance, http://lifehacker.com/how-to-create-custom-voice-commands-with-tasker-and-aut-1282209195, I installed Tasker and AutoVoice. Google app already installed. I enabled Autovoice accessibility service and AutoVoice Google Now integration.
OK Google is enabled on all screens.
However, when I say "OK Google, use Autovoice" Google consistantly comes back with "It looks like your AutoVoice account is not linked yet." How do I do this?
When I run AutoVoice Testing with my trigger words, they work. I have another 6.0 Android device where all this (Tasker, Autovoice, Google Now) works seamlessly.
Is there some other step required for S8 / Android 7.0 go get AutoVoice integrated with Google Now?

There is a difference between using the Google now voice search and using Google assistant. The running service is for Google now. The screenshot you posted is of Google assistant, in which you have to be apart of the Google + community for the app in order for it to work.
If you're just looking for basic usage, use Google now voicesearch and not Google assistant

Thank you very much! This is the first clue I've been handed to the source of my problem. You are right. On my px5 head unit, there are no settings for Google Assistant. On my S8, there are. However, I don't know why they are there, or how to disable Google Assistant without disabling OK Google. When I disable GA and speak "OK Google", it immediately asks me to turn GA back on to respond. Do you know how I can resolve this? Again, thanks!

Never mind. I found it: https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...ndroid-device-switch-back-google-now-0174676/
Problem is, don't have root on Galaxy S8. Google REALLY needs to give us the option for something like this instead of forcing it down our throats whether we like it or not!!!

You should be able to do it with a shortcut. I use Nova launcher and just use the voice search shortcut and it uses Google now. Or if you have a Google search bar on your screen with the mic in it, that should default to Google voice search and not assistant

No problem man. I use tasker, autovoice, and autoremote religiously haha. Too much home automation and laziness not to utilize them. You should look into the natural language it can now use. Takes a while to understand and set up, but after that, it's much better than regular recognize

I'm having fun, and pulling my hair out, just trying to get this going right now. At least twice this week I was in my car (head unit not installed yet) and really wanted to send time sensitive messages on my s8 using Google Voice. I don't text and drive, religiously. But being able to say "google voice text so-and-so" would have been quite useful.
One last, final question: I've been learning tasker/autovoice on a rooted px5. Just got this galaxy s8 and, of course, it's not rooted. Looks like I shell commands a lot in my profiles, particularly "input keyword" and "input text".
So, if I want to send %avcommnofilter as response to app, do you recommend autoinput for that?

FINALLY! This is how you link AutoVoice (or any 3rd party app) to Google Assistant: https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/websearch/HwJUpkrHPr4/xIJACIlEAwAJ
So, you have to say "OK, Google, ask Autovoice to...." followed by your AutoVoice command. Still wish I could just say "OK, Google" then command, but this will do for now.
Hi all, how are you.
I wanted to setup Google Assistant's voice as a text-to-speech (TTS) system, it doesn't make sense to me that we have to stay stuck on a very outdated TTS voice when using other Apps. I'm not a developer so I'm hoping someone who is finds this thread and works on it. I believe it shouldn't be very hard, since the wanted code is already on Google App.
I think there are 3 possible ways of achieving this, by making a standalone TTS App (by stripping code from the Google App), by doing something with Tasker (though it's important that the screen could be off, I found ways with Tasker but the screen needs to be on), or by creating a Magisk Module.
Thanks in advance!!
The reason for this is because Google Assistant uses Cloud Services to synthesize the voice. So the default TTS is 100% percent offline so it can't be as good, not a question of being up-to-date or not
(+ The default is Android TTS not Google TTS meaning it's free and not Gapps-Exclusive)

Yes, though if someone could adapt the Google assistant App (or make something of sorts) to make that happen, sending the request to Google, as if I asked "Ok Google, Simon says....." for example.
I don't know if that's possible, but I know for sure I can't make something like it.

Hello there.
Thanks so much to all the people and developers out here.
First of all , to say that I am trying as much as I can to get out of Google Therms and Conditions (but I love to keep using Android, and I know that Android is develop from Google, and I also know that before Google, Android was existing too, ....anyways).
I just got install LineageOS plus microG , and everything was beautyful and great until I find out that the custom ROM is using the call, smsing, contacts, browser, calendar, email and maybe some other one that now I cant find, from Android, so means that still that apps are connected to Google, cause I click about sms , for example, and then privacy , and it redirect me through google search motor to a Google privacy and Therms ???
And one thing that I have got more impress is that the call app , I cant even stop it or disable it. Anyone can tell me why?
And going deeper in LineageOS , I have experience that are some other issues that I cant really disable in the system.
I just decide to use Signal instead of sms. Brave instead of Android browser.
So I will love to get an alternative to have my contacts in the telephone, and maybe more suggestions of other apps.
And is it possible to get reed of phone Android app somehow, or is something that Google force to use??
Thanks for reading it.
PS- I was just gonna submit my post and then reCAPTCHA pops up and tell me to press in some pictures. Is it a support for AI that are we giving this data for free so they can develop better robots for the future??
yeah
I just find out that there is an app called Contacts in F-Droid that belongs to simplemobiletools, and seems awesome. it alloweds me also at makes calls, so I can dissable phone from Android. Step by step and getting there. Thanks for all that has read the post.
