Just got the Vibrant and finally when trying to watch Avatar for the first time, i get an error say "Sorry, License Expired" I tried opening video player, i see the trailer and avatar.dcf file, trailer works fine, but avatar comes up with error "avatar.dcf locked. Do you want to unlock it now?
Okay or Cancel both doesnt work. I tried googling this but nothings out there. Ideas?
Thanks
My best advice is to contact T-mobile
I had the same issue this morning, except the error was "Sorry, License not found."
Inexplicably, it seems to have gone away on its own.
Probably not the most ideal solution but a factory reset fixes both these issues. I have seen both these problems and the reset fixed it.
Sorry to hear about your problems. Just to clarify (so I don't run into the same problem) are you guys using your phone stock or have you modified it in anyway? If yes in which way (e.g. root, custom boot loader, etc.)
Did you open the movie file itself with a media player, or by the avatar app on the homescreen?
Basically out of the box. setup my gmail account, facebook, then played with some apps. Then i tried to watch Avatar for first time, i get sorry, license expired (icon on main page) then i tried to lauch the video player and clicked on the file, I get the file is locked.
I factory reset this once and its the same deal. I just rooted the phone. and tried it again, samethig. Havent noticed anything wrong with phone.
i have Avatar on blueray. just wanted to check it out on the phone itself cause the trailer looks awesome.

I've had the same problem. Power cycling the unit seems to have solved the problem.
No issues here, and I'm rooted.
Off the top of my head, are you using a Task Killer? I notice there are a few services running for DRM and I would assume if you kill them it could interfere with Avatar or the Sim3, which both use DRM. The ones I am referring to are com.sec.android.app.drmua and com.sec.android.providers.drm.
That's a really good thought, and yet ANOTHER reason to avoid task killers.

never thought of that..hmmm thx for the heads up
I am not using task killer apps. and i don't want to do factory reset.
is there any other way we can get rid of the error?

Anyone have a short description of what this app does?
it allows you to purchase mp3's through your phone using amazon
Thanks. I will try it out since I purchase most of my mp3's through Amazon. I can't seem to preview songs on PIE or Opera 10. So I have been using SkyFire to listen to and purchase songs on Amazon. For those of you that don't know, once you set up your "one-click" purchasing options on Amazon you simply click, then tell navigate to where you want the mp3 saved and you have a truly portable high-quality mp3. Much better quality than iTunes (I feel sorry for those folks still using iTunes).
first of all thanks for doin this, i've been looking for an amazon mp3 app for months. so far it seems to be workin great, haven't bought anything yet, but will update once i have. again good job and thanks
Has anyone purchased anything with this yet? I keep getting "User authenticated: Fail"

Same here. I love the potential of this app, but for now it is easier for me to go through Opera or Skyfire. Here are the issues I am having:
The login settings seem to stick, but I also get the above "User authenticated : Fail"
After a search that brings up multiple results I can preview the song in many mp3 apps (TCPMP, WMP, PocketMusic). With all of these players, after I finish the preview and go back to the Amazon window, it goes back to the home page and I lose my search. In other words I cannot preview more than one song per search. So i have to do the search all over again to get to a second or third preview.
If I close the player that was previewing my mp3 the Amazon app closes as well. I have to leave the player open and task back to the Amazon app to keep it open. but again, it returns to the Home page and loses my search results.
When I click the 'Download' button on the Home page the resulting screen does not give me any way to return to the Home page. The only options are two soft keys, 'Clear List' and 'Retry Failed'.
This is a 'close but no cigar' for me. Anyone else not having those problems? I am on stock Tilt 2 ROM.
will this work in the UK or is it US specific?
Yeah I am also getting a user autenticated fail error. Oh well hopfully it will be officially released for Windows Mobile one day (or I guess when WP7 hits).
I am getting a user autenticated fail error too.
same error
Amazon MP3
Looks very nice but does not work, totaly useless because you cannot login.
Anybody get this to work?
Thanks..
Marc
All same issues here...
I would hope the person who modified the CAB would be checking this thread to see what is going on with it/update and fix bugs....
So how do i get this to work on my HTC HD2 then exactly?? please tell me1
authentication failed
I had this problem too. Have you rooted your phone, or perhaps uninstalled amazonmp3 and then reinstalled it? I started getting the authentication failure after I rooted my phone. I was able to solve the problem by creating a second account over at Amazon.com.
Elsewhere, I've read about people solving related amazonmp3 problems by going to the amazonmp3 menu and selecting something like "erase everything". (But I didn't know that when I solved my problem by creating the second amazon.com account.)
i updated and of course, all internet browsers close as soon as a start using them. They open, let me go to a website or two, then close. I was super eager to test the full flash but i can barely get to the websites themselves without the browser closing suddenly. I updated the firmware, profile, prl, and everything. the phone was never rooted.
I'm about to do a hard reset but I figured i should check what you guys had to say first.

Hard reset is the only thing that has helped so far. Just do it, it will make the system work better anyway.
Will a hard reset effect firmware/froyo.
I had the same issues with the camera. Reset all folders permission to read and write.
sorry for my ignorance but how I can do a hard reset? and it will fix the problem?
No, a hard reset basically wipes your data and cache(?) partitions. All apps and data are deleted. This will return you to just your normal firmware, without any customizations. Then you can reinstall apps. I think that's the main problem, some apps aren't dealing with the upgrade too well, and as a result, you get some weird errors. It won't change any versions of your software though.
I'm having the same problem.. If we move the apps to the SD card we shouldn't have to reinstall them, correct? And if we re-install apps, does the settings/info saved on them return or would we have to change those as well? I'm getting ready to do a hard reset too and I spent alot of time with these apps and I was worried about losing info/settings..
Also, I'm using Launcher Pro, will it revert back to Sense after the Hard Reset?

Search "how to hard reset the HTC EVO". It can either be done through the settings menu or you can physically do it using the power and volume rocker.
My dad was having similar issues. And said that going into settings while in the browser and changing enable plugins from "always on" to "on demand" helps
Also the person using launcher pro go into the launcher pro settings or preferabces and all the way on the bottom you can backup your settings/homescreen.

It will return back to sense. It will be like a brand new phone. Before you hard reset backup your launcher pro settings and homescreen. Hard reset if my internet fix didn't work. Reinstall all apps and launcherpro and then restore launcher pro settings and homescreens.
Is hard reset the only way to fix this?
No you can remove Adobe flash and reinstall it.. worked flawless for myself.
James
I hate to ask this sounding like a noob, but I'm at work and can't do much research, but what would be the best way to backup all those files? Just with the USB drive or is there a backup app I can download, etc.
Nevermind, I figured out how to backup Launcher Pro, but how about apps still?

It should still be in the market, got it earlier for latest CM Nightly.
Yeah I don't see it either. I found Flash 10.1 beta on Appbrain, but it won't sync with my phone. I uninstalled and removed flash and my browser is still crashing.
Here is the APK. I had to uninstall it using titanium backup. was easier than going the ADB rm way
James
I had the same problem. Some are saying it's because of installing the half ass full flash version on 2.1 that came out a month ago.
I downloaded and reinstalled the apk and then it worked...for about 6 hours and then the browser starting crashing again.
The next time i uninstalled and then installed the flash 10.1 again, so far, so good.
When I get home I'm gonna try that and hope it works before I do a hard reset.
Nothing worked so I finally decided on the hard reset. I think one should do it anyway to get the best out of the update. Everything works fine now, glad to see that it remembers the apps I had already paid for. The whole thing seems to run smoother than ever, (I hated the baggy scrolling.) Southparkstudios works now, the entire video section of the new York times works now as well. Embedded YouTube videos work on Facebook they play without me having to leave the page/browser.
****ONE ISSUE***
Text fields act strange. I can't type status updates into the full Facebook site anymore, nothing happens when I tap the text field. That blows big time I hate using the Facebook apps I want the full site to work fully.
Similarly, I was never able to type into the text fields on the gmail full site. Now I can a little bit although Tue browser seems uber confused about whether it wants to deal with the text field or not. Any ideas why text fields (
Rich text fields) are such an issue?
I was hoping that yahoo games would work, especially yahoo pool but still no go.

What apps are opening and typing? What are they saying?
In theory a factory reset should wipe it off your device, assuming its not some app thats been installed to the system partition. If you unlocked your bootloader, installed twrp (a recovery for the n7) then wiped everything and then installed a custom rom it would remove everything and re-install fresh and do the trick. Then you could flash back your stock rom and recovery ect and be back to normal

Once again, it is 100% a hardware issue, so you can dispense with the paranoia. The fact is that you do not have your tablet configured in such a way that one could install or run any type of remote access app without your knowledge and consent.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
this is Linux not Windows. Anything trying to install anything (if you are rooted) would popup the the confirmation to grant root access. If 'it' survived a factory reset, it's not software.

Its your wife or maybe mother... Check the su or super user app to see what apps have root privileged. Also keep a eye on what apps are running by going to Settings Applications Running applications. YOU Will see the app start to run . If you are really concerned take root access away from all system and user apps in the su or super user app. then anything that could run and do what you are thinking will Have to ask for root again.. Since i agree with the other post . NONE Of the above will pop up a suspect app .
I know this post is not needed all But atleast it tells him how to check for himself what is going on with his apps and running services....
I think it might be your screen protector cuz it looks really bad from the 2nd video.

This ^ might indeed be worth checking out prior to sending the unit back for replacement - take the protector off and see if the problem persists. (TBH though, I can't tell from the video if the protector is non-uniform or that is a reflected pattern from the ceiling in the room where the video was made.)
The OP would not be the first person to encounter an overly sensitive touchscreen (low level noise becomes "false touches") with or without a screen protector, but generally screen protectors will make the situation worse if the touchscreen is too sensitive to begin with.
The OP's post is an excellent example of a violation of the "Occam's Razor" principle - when presented with alternate explanations for a given phenomena that equally well describe the observed behavior, the simpler of the two explanations should be presumed. In this case, an overly-sensitive touch screen that generates rapid random touch events is a far simpler explanation than assuming that someone has hacked your device and is remote-controlling it (via a non-existent API) with seemingly random input... right in front of the OP's face.

Your device has NOT been hacked. There is an issue with the digitizer, and you are getting false touches. You are still locked and unrooted, so you are, most likely, still within the warranty period. Please call customer to support to set up an RMA for troubleshooting/repair.
OR, you can wipe the whole tablet to see if the issue persist. I am almost certain the tablet will still behave that way after a reset, but you can try if you want.

Si cela est pris en charge par google ?
Hello guys, 2 days ago i finally got the android 7.0 update (three uk) and since then I've spotted some problems with the phone. I have this music player installed its called Musixmatch and one of the features is when your phone start playing music the music player identifies it and puts the lyrics on the screen. So since the update sometimes (mostly when I'm playing videos online or just doing random stuff) lyrics to song "Over The Horizon" by Samsung are popping on my screen ( the song is not actually playing, i can't hear it but the lyrics pops up on the screen which means it was played maybe?) I've attached two screenshoots of this situation.
The other problem is since the update sometimes when i want to watch some videos on youtube after few videos I'm getting this problem saying "there was a problem while playing playback id: (various numbers)" and then i can't play any video online (i haven't tried playing videos from my video library yet) but for example on Facebook when I click on the video it acts like a photo just the thumbnail opens and that's it, can't play it. can't play any video untill i restart the phone then its alright but again after few videos im starting to get this error.
My phone is not rooted and I've never rooted it. Its running on stock rom.
Thanks in advance
Just sounds like MusixMatch needs an update. Not exactly a problem with the phone, but the app.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
I agree.
It can take a short while for the developer of an app to push out an update so that it does not clash with the updated firmware. I'd check in the PlsyStore under your Apps.
You may also be able to let the Developer know of the bugs your encountering after the firmware update.
That and I'd try clearing the Apps Cache , System Cache and as a last resort create a fresh backup and Factory Reset.
So today i noticed that its not only Facebook videos nor youtube videos. When its happening i can't even call anyone on Skype or Facebook it just won't let me do it.

I dont know what causes the problem, but perhaps a factory reset will solve it for you. :fingers-crossed:
Okay so I decided to go for the factory reset and it worked for a day or two but today the problem is back. Also I would like to mention that I think today was the first time I've used device maintenance to clean ram and Clean master to turn off apps that eat battery after that the problem came back.

One is it steals your infor and sells it in China.
Second, using it to force stop apps in background causes the phone to active loop and basically use up more battery.
The very presence of Clean Master in the phone is all harm and no good.

Don't use clean master, it's bloat garbage. plus you have that built right into the os. If you MUST use 3rd party once of those, use one that's lighter and less spammy and bloatwarish

I quick looked cm is 16mb, with a whole bunch of bloat and ads and useless features, ahh it's such an awful app. It was bad enough, but then cheetah bought it and it really got bad, same thing happened with the gallery app Quickpic.
Anyway, if it was me, I would absolutely not dl a third party app. The built in stuff does more than a good enough job. But if you must have one, CCleaner 4mb, simple, works, it's light, if there are ads, don't think they are overly intrusive, if there even are any ads. There's a few others that might be OK that are 4mb or under. Look thru the list. But dude, just use the built in option, it does a surprisingly good job.
My phone has been acting really weird for a few months now and I can't figure it out. Is there a way to find all apps on the phone user installed, system, and hidden?? My phone isnt rooted; well I havent rooted it nor does it say it has. Like WTF. Theres other weird things but that's just the most recent 1. And it's got me very concerned. Pls help!!
Your probably have a setting on in Accessibility like visibility enhancements or screen reader, you'll need to turn it off.
For list of apps you can view them in Settings > Apps ( Tap the 3 dots on the top right and tap "Show system apps" )

I'm not sure too much about malware, I do know that Samsung has their own "Security Features" in Settings > Device Care > Security if you want to scan your device, also try Play Protect.
Seeing that the Accessibility issues are out of the way, what other problems are you experiencing ?

I saw the guy again but this time I kinda got to look at the running services and I found this. Could that have something to do with it?? As u can kinda tell, once I forced stopped that cloud messaging service the time changed on it and went under the dual messenger service. But as I was saying beforehand, google play services always had a pop up saying using headphones in the background. But my data doubled in the last 2-3 months, things I download will just disappear and pictures (like my phone will restore itself a few days but not my messages or calls), my phone also keeps adding a new camera gallery like it's not connected anymore and is a new camera same with the screenshot folder.
