The ROM is for Touch (P3450).

im not much on design but i can cook a ROM i am currently workin on a ROM just need to work on a few bugs but thats it. also it will be arrier generic i say that because i dont know what carrier your with.

I can cook for any device if bepe and others have made tools to cook with and I have that device.
SO what is it that you want... a diamond looking rom or clean rom maybe a total remake of GUI ?

I can cook for the device, I just won't be able to test it myself.

i bump a nice vista rom with one toolbar? to actually mimic a pc ive used programs but there all terrible

Newbie - What can be done?

Hey guys new to the forum - i've had a HD for about 3 months now and done nothing with it just used it as i would a nokia 402! lol I chose this over the iphone simply because of the keybad option when typing texts etc.
What cool things can be done to make my HD better?
My HD runs slow all the time -it's not loaded up with junk or any files at all really and yet it runs slow when the hardware specs suggest it shouldnt. I'm on orange (so prolly got a bs orange rom, right?)
Can you get cool games for the HD for when im at work like you can the iphone?

I recomend having a look in the ROM dev forum and wait until dutty releases his 3.9xt ROM.
If you flash this rom you will think you have a new phone!
Read up on crackwhores guide to flashing as i'm guessing you will have the stock spl.
So you have to flash an official HTC 1.54 ROM first. Then flash duttys.
I may sound complicated but it really isn't.
Also, if i were you i'd use USPL as appose to HSPL as the latter voids your phone warranty!

Well he's got 3.8 out atm but said he'll upload 3.9 tonight so ye, i'd wait a day tbh.
Also, there have been some problems with people using backup&restore programs for sms, contacts and things so if you can sync your calendar and contacts using outlook that would be even better.
His new ROM will also be UC compatible which is going to make installing all your main cabs the easiest thing in the world

Are you using search because your questions have been answered many times all over this site look above and type what you want in search you will be surprised by what you can learn or you can check the wiki as well they even list what works and what doesnt including games

Read all you can about flashing and then, try new ROM's.
My ROM if Laurentius L26, and I'm really satisfied with it...
Also take a look on apps to install...

Mate, the best thing to do is search and learn...
Flashing is changing the ROM (software) of your mobile. You can change the stock ROM by a lot of cooked ROMs that are posted here at the site.
But until you decide on what to do, read carefully all threads to understand how it works...

i've flashed it to Dutty's XT Turbo 3.9... it's pretty nice. I was just asking about the gsensor games lol

there are plently.. at least for starters u are in the right forum !!!!
search around look around.. ask questions at QnA
you can take a look at my humble blog too... there are some useful freewares made by folks here mentioned there too

new roms

i have an htc dream. but my gf has maple. i was wondering when and if people start cooking roms for this phone. if it will retain the my faves apps and ect. becase in dream world that app wont convert. i hope its ok that started a thread if not i understand if it gets locked

i keep seeing all these requests for apps like swype and what not...

everyone whos asking for these .cabs for swype, facebook tabs for sense and so on should take a trip over to the ROM Development forum. most of the things people are asking for in these posts are already cooked into the roms. they tend to run a lot better than the stock roms and have updates coming out on a weekly basis. my personal favorite is the Energy series hence my signature but i suggest that you guys check all of them out you never know what youll like.

Not everyone likes to flash roms , and not all roms have every little cab you require in them, hence asking for them and theres no central place for them all either
And unless im mistaken, i also use an energy rom, but swype is not built into that!

Yes, but all people would have to do is search. I have also seen a lot of posts requesting it.. and if people would take a look at the stickied thread they'll find it in the second post.

That's funny. Swype is built into my Energy ROM. Don't know which one you're using... It also has a nice HTC skin on it.

whilst we are at it does NRGZ28 have a list somewhere of what programs are in his roms? as ive looked on his thread and cant see one? Incase im installing other programs that are allready on it!

im honestly not sure at all, i guess you can check the change logs? that probably wouldnt en help you can ask him on his twitter oooooorrrr the irc chat he hosts

im sure not all of the links dont work, there has to be .cabs themselves posted somewhere out there. i dont usually respond to repeats of requests because theres tons of those threads out there but i guess i will for now on because a number of apps that are or were on this site are saved to either my sd card or computer

Asking for, or posting links or files for Swype is now considered warez on XDA. Do a search elsewhere as it now earns you vacation time from the mods.

ROM Section suggestion!

Hi there,
Im new on the XDA Community cause i recently buyed a HTC HD2,before the HTC i was using an iPhone 3GS and im like "reborn" till im using the HTC...
Well i just have one suggestion that i want to propose to the ROM Section on this forum...
Is possible to add on the main page a prewiew of the ROM,on the right side,so all the people could know how is customized the rom,i know it will use more pages but is better...like the modmyi forum have...
I've made a poll to see what people think about this...
Is just a suggestion,if is the wrong section just Move the thread..

nice idea but I think that seeing as many roms have different interfaces eg. Cht, gtc, maxsense. etc it may be slightly difficult to do.

The problem I have found on HD2 forum, is so many old ROMs listed rather than being in one chefs thread with latest version.

In fact that isnt a problem...if a rom have different version the preview would be 1 but like sliding pictures ...so u can see all the versions!
I like a lot this idea,hope that some admin could say something about this...
