So with the vibrant how do i go into the auto sms edit screen. You know the option that pops out when someone calls you where you can ignore the call and send them a text automatically at the same time.

Does anyone know of any way to disable the text message sent notification sound that exists when you send a text message? I've tried all of the sound options but it still has that terribly annoying sound when you send a text message. Being the person sending the message I'm not even sure why you would want a sound anyways.
I've also edited the registry and added the key to do the no notification on text sents and it still does it.
Any help is greatly appreciated to keep my sanity at work.
Well, I was able to get it disabled with another registry hack but now I just noticed none of my sent text messages are being saved even though the option is enabled.
Is this typical?
I can't find the app that turns off the outgoing text message alert, I had it before but now I can't even find it on the fourms. Anyone able to link me the thread?

Hey there, I hope this is what you were looking for.
Everytime I receive a text message the phone rings and vibrate but the screen does not turn on to show the message or anything. I don't listen/feel the phone all of the time and I don't notice messages untill I turn on the phone manually to call someone. Is there a way to turn the screen on everytime a text message arrives?
Get handcent SMS it has a pop up feature that will turn on the screen when you get a message.

It worked! I had to disable all the notifications from Handcent because I was getting 2 sms rings. It's working flawless now. Thanks a lot
if you just want the pop up feature with out having a whole new sms app, try pop up sms too. choice choice choice.
if you go to to phone and go to settings theres an option to select
incoming call popups which will display oncoming call popup when an app is in use.
the phone stock comes with it selected so
i unchecked it so that if im using an app the incoming call popup wont show
but i still get the incoming call taking over the screen..
anyone have any issues with this?

Only thing unchecking the pop-up does is disable the small answer/decline tab that drops down from the notification bar, it then defaults to the stock Android answer screen which I guess is what u are seeing. Otherwise how u gonna know who's calling?
I don't get what you want to accomplish?

yeah i was hoping if i was in the middle of an app it wouldn't take over the entire app maybe like just the top notification bar would light up
Just started doing this a little while ago but whenever I recieve a text it will send me multiple alerts for it. I can literally reply to the text lock my phone and it will send me an alert for the last message someone else sent me I swipe it away and then it goes off again for the message I just replied. Why do i need an alert for my own message i typed it why would I need an alert to see that? I tried looking through all the setting and short of turning notifications off all together I cant find how to get rid of this repeat pop ups. Someone please make me feel dumb and show me how to turn this off.
