Not able to send or receive txt

For some reason, I am unable to send / receive txt messages after fixing permissions on my Aria, any idea what could have broken ?

Can't download mms messages

Whenever someone sends me a pic by mms it fails to download it.. it says "generic network fail" or something like that .. if I install a new Rom would this fix the problem or install a new kernel?

is your 3g on?

and are you already rooted and running a rom and if so which one?
if this just started then you need to call tech support as its not anything you or the phone is doing, it sounds more like sprint having issues.

I get this problem when Wifi is on.
I just disable Wifi really quick and the picture downloads.

Switch from the stock messaging app to Handcent or ChompSMS...

I've notcied that I need to turn off wifi sometimes for the mms to download, anyone know why that is?

Picture mms not working

Its my first post so hopefully I don't get flamed.. Ive tried looking but have not found the same issue..
my wife also has the vibrant and has not been able to send picture mms after she did the ota update to 2.2. She gets the error as error from server response... I just rooted her phone and put bionix 1.2.1 today but I didn't help..

I did notice that now my wife gets two messages each time someone sends her one. Any idea how to disable one of them?

gtalk problems

hey anyone noticed something weird with the gtalk
i get notification but im unable to see the message
also i cant see the message that i send even though i reaches the destination
i re flashed the gappps but still couldnt solve the problem

Trouble sending MMS?

Is anyone having trouble with the stock messaging app stuck permanently "sending" MMS? Anyone know a fix?
If no one knows a fix for this... Perhaps someone can recommend a messaging app that works correctly in multi-app mode? I send a lot of pictures and want to be able to have gallery and messaging app open and be able to drag and drop pics into the messaging app.

Try to clear the cache for the default messaging app that will clear alot of problems. This is the first thing to do with a problem app.

Update... MMS go through fine when I'm not at home (not using wifi) but when I'm on wifi they won't go through... I'm almost certain that I sent a couple over wifi when I first got the phone last week.
Clearing the cache did not make a difference, thank you for the idea tho.

Just an FYI....MMS doesn't go over WiFi. It gets sent with mobile data.

I fixed the problem with a factory data reset ... now it will again send MMS while signed into wifi

I've had this happen a couple times. Each time I turned off wifi then rebooted the phone. Connected to 4G and sent.

Sorry to bring up an old posting, but I am still having this issue with MMS on wifi or off. I can receive them just not send them out.
