Hello world,
I have a new HTC Magic, here in India. The specs on the rear side of the packaging box reads as 'RAM : 288 MB'. But today when using adb shell, I was surprised to see 'MemTotal: 197144 kB' reported in cat /proc/meminfo. I'm utterly confused! Can anyone please explain what's wrong and where ?

Yeah, TotalMem is total size of your device
Yes you have a 288 MB
The rest of the memory, around 94-95MB for most ROMs goes to your radio, framebuffer and other hardware and is not accessible from the OS directly...

I was under the impression that the xoom had 1 gig of ram. Is this not correct?

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi, I don't see any boot partition and there is no file name "zImage" anywhere on the device. Does anyone know where the kernel image is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi?

With this settings the Tablet is able to Play HD 720 video and also record at same time. If the recording is not use, the performance is even faster!
