I have a Eken M001 running the latest version 1.6 / 1.7.4 avaliable
Tried a completely new install with not additional software.
Listening to youtube or any thing seems my device has a clicking sound going on that turns the speaker off and on.
Head phones are fine.....?
Any ideas?
Hit mute and it still clicks? Ticking Time bomb?

Hi All,
Just received my p3600 this morning and ive noticed some strange sound issues with it.
Rom Version : 1.23.405.2 - Date : 03/11/07
Radio Version : 1.38.00.11
Basically what happens is that when im playing back audio or video whether it be from windows media player or coreplayer, right at the beginning of the song i get a couple of low "blips". More like a very faint crackling, for example when we used to put the needle on old LP's. This happens pretty much everytime i play the song from the beginning. Also, when i use Coreplayer and select do benchmark, for the first couple of seconds i hear that same noise, then the video zooms past but no audio except for the very faint beeping crackling noise. Im just wondeirng if anyone else has come across this or if their Trinity does the same etc? Any fixes?
Thanks!
Ricardo
some more info
I listened to the sound it makes using headphones and it seems like to be the audio comes on, then goes off then comes back on suddenly and plays the music. This happens all very quickly, like within half a second. Also when i forward to the middle of the music video for example, it plays, then pauses as the sound kicks in, then plays normally after.
I though that it could have been the video but then i disabled the audio from within core player and then when playing the videos there was no pause or skip at all.
Does this sound like there is something wrong with the phone or a rom issue? thanks!
update
i know im posting alot about this, its just bugging me lol It seems like there is a delay with the audio system. For example, when using coreplayer, i try and lower the volume and there is about half a second delay from when i press the down button to when the volume actually drops. Same thing if i increase the volume. Also, when watching a video i have to adjust the manual A/V offset to -0.200 so that the audio is in sync with the video. Im just wondering if anyone else has this problem, if its normal for the rom or whether its a hardware fault? cheers
Ric
Greetings.
After searching through the forums, I have what I believe to be a different variation of the volume issues with the TyTN models. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
When using .mp3's (and even preloaded tones) for custom ringer-ID's, my phone defaults to maximum blow-my-speaker and distort-the-crap-out-of-the-music volume. My device volume slider is set to the second notch, as in one away from off.
I have looked for a universal ringtone volume setting in "Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications>Phone: Incoming Call" to no avail. When I play the same mp3 in Media Player, the volume is fine and sound is high quality. If I go to my contacts and tap the custom ringtone to play a sample, it is the same. When the ringtone is triggered the next time, however, it is the same unbearably loud squawking distorted crap.
Is there a registry fix for this? Maybe a setting I have overlooked? I am considering cooked ROMs, but until I decide which one I want and see a need to change, I'm sticking with this one.
Thanks for your time!
-Graham

That slider on the right that looks like a phone ringing, and lowers the volume of ringtones... I thought it was the in-call volume.
Sorry for the waste of time... Thanks for the forum.

Hi all, I'm new to the forums so don't be too harsh on me, and sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find it anywhere (skipped through like 15 pages)
I have a, in my eyes, huge problem with the HTC Music player, sometimes it just skips songs or fast forward through them, then it takes a while before it stops and I can listen to music again, and sometimes it won't stop and I have to turn my phone off and on for it to work again. This is really annoying and happens 4 or 5 times in my 1 hour trip to school.
As I said, it does occur randomly, but on some songs more often then others. I put them on my phone with Windows Media Player. I also keep it upside down in my pocket if that's a problem. I also tried other ear-phones but that didn't solve anything.
Thanks in advance and I hope there's a solution to this ^^ also, are there more people with this problem, I have searched the internet quite a bit but found no information whatsoever.
yes, I have same problem and its only when using not htc's headphones, so it must be a problem with headphones connector on HD2.
Friend of mine is having same problem.
Yeah, it works fine with HTC's crappy headphones. Doesnt work with my Shure's.It does work with my portable speakers though.
HTC Music skipping and stopping
My problem is that when i turn on HTC Music it works fine with headphones other than the HTC ones until i lock the screen. Then it cuts the music out once or twice then cuts off completely, all within 60 seconds of locking the screen.
Thinking this was a problem with the headphone's connection jack, as they are from an old Sony minidisc player, i went back to the crappy HTC headphones and the same thing happened!
Any ideas for a cure would be greatly appreciated as i get around by cycling and it defeats the purpose it i have to stop every 2 mins just to restart the player or answer the phone.

whenever there is incoming call while i am listening to music..... it will happen right after screen is off.
i called HTC support about this, but they said no such case reported and tested...
Now my solution is to press the Play button on Headphone or do not lock the screen.
Any permanent solution ?!
thanks alot !!
ive been having a problem when i hook it up to my dd monitor in my car, it goes wacky and changes songs and fast forwards, rewinds. its only when i hook up to the 3.5 jack from my deck, headphones is no issue...im stumped
Has anyone come up with a solution?I have the same problem when I hook up my Sensation to car radio through 3.5mm.Starts fast forwarding and skipping through songs.
the stock earphones come with 4 metal pieces in the jack, while the others have 3.. my theory is that non-stock headphones sometime mimic a press of one of the buttons. as this also happens to me sometimes while removing the stock headphones from the device.
if you're good with welding stuff, buy a 4piece jack and connect the new headphones to it
Found a fix was hoping for sometype of patch but this works to.Do a search for, "headset blocker" in the market.
Hello. I have got a frustrating problem. I am using stock manila music player and bluetooth application. Bluetooth stereo headset (samsung's SBH 500) connected to HD2. Music is playing and then i am pushing call end button to lock the device and turn the screen off. Everything is ok till the song ends. To continue listening i have to push any button to wake up the screen and then device continues playing next audio file. Have you got any suggestions how to make music player playing songs continously?

Temporary solution found...
Hi,
first of all: I have the same problem now after I updated to the last T-Mobile ROM (1.72).
Nevertheless, I noticed that the MusicPlayer is still playing the next song, only that I hear nothing anymore via the BT headset - as soon as I switch the device back on, the sound comes back, but the player is already somewhere in the middle of the track.
As temporary fix, I'm now using AEButtonPlus to switch off only the screen instead of switching the device off (standby).
Now the music play continuously via the BT Headset.
...but I'm of course still looking for a real solution...

Anyone has same issue ? Have just updated to 3.2 (actually 3.1 is same - Use Stock Rom), i use Nemo(Acer Music Player) and Music in system also, try to play a song and wait for shuffle after turnoff the screen, it doesn't work. After turn on the screen, song will next.
Think it should be a bug since 3.1 update version. Please help me out >
Sad Face
I have the same/similar problem, after updating to HC 3.2 OTA any music app I've tried has stopped after I've either pressed the lock screen button or it has timed out. The only difference between music apps is the amount of time it takes before it stops.
Stock Android music usually lasts until the end of the first or second song.
Hive Player lasts about 5 seconds.
Nemo (Acer) works about the same as the stock Android one.
It may have done this while on HC 3.1, I don't recall.
All other forum posts seem to relate to automatic task killers terminating the process to save power.
Also tried factory reseting, still no good
Suggestions anyone?
