Music Player Help - Vibrant General

I noticed that when I use the music player, the music stops playing when the screen turns off. I couldn't really find a setting to keep it on (unless I am not looking hard enough? ) I do have Launcher Pro instead of TouchWiz... could that have something to do with it?

Never mind, I found the culprit. It was my task killer which I set to kill all apps when the screen turns off. I just set the music player to the ignore list, and all works as it should.

If you use a task killer you've already failed. Lol

Music stop playing when in background

Hi, anyone know how to keep the music from stop playing after launching another app. Basically, after it's in the background it will finish a song but will stop and not play the next song. If the music app is in the foreground, it will keep playing continuously. I've tried Meridian and the build-in music app, also tried using album or playlist in both apps. both seems to be behaving the same. Phone is rooted running cyangenmod 4.2.10.1. Thx.
This is a known issue that started with Cyan. 4.2.9.1 and hasn't been solved in the latest version.
btw, you should've posted in Cyanogen's thread.
Quick question. Are you using Advanced Task Manager?
there is an app on the market called "ongoing music adapter". hope that solves your problem.
I am not using Advanced Task Killer. Will give the ongoing music adapter a try. thx everyone

Meridian Widget Problem

My 1x4 Meridian Widget Music player auto closes everytime I unlock the screen. I would start the music, lock the screen (Plays fine), and when I unlock the screen it will close itself like 5s later. I have a task manager but Meridian is ignored and it doesn't autoclose apps... Its really annoying but I don't want to get another music player cause this widget fits my desktop.
Thanks
Any chance you're using SetCPU? Also, are you using the "conservative" or "pioneer" version? The pioneer one is more of a beta version, so try the conservative version, see if that might fix it.
I'm using meridian music player which only has 1 version not the other one with 2 versions. Not using setcpu

i'm using it and got no prob o.0

Why not use MixZing? It looks cleaner than Meridian (which I formerly used) and more importantly, has an equalizer.

I've tried a few, and always come back to Meridian as it's a much better player imo. Doesn't look the best unless you use the 4x3 or 4x4, but do prefer it to others.

My standard music player pauses for no freaking reason. At first I thought it was the task killer, but them I added it to ignore list and it pause again.

[Q] Wheres our controls??

I use my tablet at work to play music etc via the Honeycomb Music app. Its nice and simple to use but I absolutely hate the fact that there are no lock screen controls for the Music app.
I dunno, it just seems silly that in order for me it change to the next track, I have to turn on the tablet, unlock the tablet, then change the track...
Of course I've Google this issue but no one has an answer... no ones even said anything. Am I really the only person who actually likes tthe honeycomb music player, but needs the lock screen controls?
Does the lock screen have some kind of API that would allow development to create a widget of some sort that can control the music app?
Most of the players on the market have that option.
I use Power Amp because it has a phenomenal equalizer.
Use Winamp...it has d lock screen controls n its one f d best!! N moreover its free!

How to stop apps like Music from staying in the background?

How can I kill the Music app when I am done using it. It is still attached to the play controls!
This is a very annoying issue. I can not believe Google missed it.
I don't use the music app. But have had other apps do similar. Have you tried opening the Play Store app or the Movies app and then close it? I've found opening and closing an app that does it correctly may help. The apps with issues just need an update to fix them.

After restarting the nexus player it still has the play/pause button connected to the music app. I ended up disabling it completely.
No if I can find an eq that works on it.

I believe you have to hit the stop in the app (on screen)to disconnect the app. Also if you start another app that connects to the play/pause button it should disconnect as well.
