OK so whenever I get a text the screen lights up like notification but it won't turn off EVER. Until I check the message.
It's killing my battery. Is this a normal feature?

How to stop screen from staying lit after a missed called (while charging)?

Everytime I have my phone connected to the charger and receive a missed call, the screen remains lit until I actually turn the phone off again. Is there anyway to prevent this? I don't want to have to turn off the phone/display everytime I recieve a missed call, while it is charging.
Go into the backscreen and power options and change the way the device acts when it's plugged in.

Screen timeout for messages

Today I was texting and when I got a text I would grab the phone and try to type but as soon as I got to the phone the screen turned off. seemed like the timing is like a few seconds too short. Is there a way to change this setting? It's not the normal screen timeout. Thanks in advance.
on a side note... has anyone found a way to turn off the battery notifications for low power and fully charged.

Notifications are not cleared when already in app

Anyone notice how when you're already in an app with the screen off and you receive a notification for that app, when you turn the screen on it doesn't automatically clear it? For example, I'm on the home screen, turn the screen off, receive a text, turn screen on, open message thread, notification cleared. I REMAIN in message thread, turn screen off, receive another text from the same person, turn screen on, even though I'm already in the thread, the notification remains. This is extremely annoying because if you leave a message thread up, you must constantly clear notifications for no good reason.
Would you all consider this a bug? What's the best way to submit this to HTC?
EDIT: On second thought, this may only happen when the lock screen is disabled. I could've sworn I've seen it happen before even with the lock screen enabled, but only intermittently.

Disable screen wake on notification

Has anyone found a way to disable screen wake for notifications? Every time I receive a new email or hangout message(Those are the two I've noticed so far) my screen will turn on. Driving me crazy.

+1 on that, driving me crazy also and I can't find any way to turn it off.

Just tested it, I don't have screen wake on notification, neither with power plugged in, nor on battery. Also tried with with always on display, it only adds notification icon, doesn't even change the brightness.
Go into "settings" and turn off all notifications
it's also annoying that the screen lights up when the battery reaches 100% while wirelessly charging,
it lights up the whole bedroom.
This was driving me crazy. Came across 'SMS Popup' app I used years ago and it works like a charm. No more screen lighting up when a message comes in. Disable notifications in stock messaging app and enable in SMS popup. Unselect 'screen on for popup'. I like the popup options better than default messaging app too, you can configure the buttons and even have one that reads the message out loud.
Edit: After further testing, results are very inconsistent. Works great sometimes and not at all others. I have uninstalled and it's back to square one.

Major problem: Notification popup and app overlays keep the display on

I can't find anything on this issue, but a friend of mine with S7 edge also has this problem, so it doesn't seem like I'm the only one.
1. This is not notification waking up screen, though I'd like to turn that off too.
2. This is not popup showing and disappearing.
This affects the following:
1. If you get a notification popup that stays around, such as from LINE.
2. If you have an ongoing phone call or facebook call or any app overlay that stays when the screen is off.
The screen turns on by itself. Continuously. You can turn the screen off by pressing power. The screen will turn back on immediately. This kills the battery.
No one else has this?
