Found a tutorial for modifying framework-res.apk here (thanks Fightspit!), so I went ahead and gave it a try... got rid of the stock Android taskbar icons
Thought someone else might enjoy the icons from the OneShot Blanco ROM.
Credits for the icons go to eViL D: and Manup456.
The taskbar will work on AdamG's OpenDesire 1.6a, cannot guarantee it will be OK on other ROMs.
(flash the attached signed zip via recovery)
does it have a H icon?
Yep, 3G is replaced by a simple H on my device, whenever I have traffic over the data connection (RO Orange doesn't have 'real' HSDPA speeds though )

This is bull**** honeycomb theme ain't for mdpi devices.
Thank you for your kind words sir.
Why exactly this is a crappy theme? Who said that is not woring in our devices? Have you try it at all? Have you seen the pictures provided, or you just read the first Haxamatic's post where is mentioned that it is for HDPI devices and that's all? Did you try to navigate to the 180 + pages that the thread has? Have you notices that i apploded the file from RomRepo, which is suitable for MDPI devices?
Of cource you cannot like the them, but certainly you cannot express your self like that. At the end, the theme is working, if you do not know how to apply a theme read entirly the instructions. About the drop down notification bar which is transparent i cannot do anything about that. In case you don't like it simply change to another theme.
Ps: I have found a modification of the them with circle battery in the statur bar, i will upload it when i'm home along with a screenshot.
Regards.
Man this theme Makes status bar crappy

First, big thanks for taking the time to post every relevant link. im sure that took a lot of time.
the problem with the theme is it has a lot of small visual issues that for me prevents it from being my default theme. (i have tried both haxzamatic's and the ported one)
some issues i have noticed:
- notification panel looks bad
- the percentage battery icon bar is lowered
- the progress bar knob is mis aligned (notice the 4th screenshot of OP's post)
- some icons/graphics (ie wifi/signal) are a bit blurry/misaligned)
some of the issues can be reduced by playing around with the lcd density settings for the device. as mentioned here by lekhwani
My suggestion would be to fix these issues. some documentation were provided by haxzmatic. i quote him below.
I also have a theme template on github with all AOSP graphics so you can start with stock graphics. I put a ton of work in behind the scenes so we can see some awesome themes for this system. http://bit.ly/fZUZ8t

If someone would work to port this on our device to work correcty, now that would be awesome and worthy of a thousand thanks
Please try this one, and tell me if this is ok with you.

The progress bar knob is ALIGNED
The notification panel is visible now
Unfortunatelly it does not change the icons of Music, Clock-settings& internet into the new icons. They remain as Gingerbread.
The wifi/signal icons are not misaligned/this is just how the theme is.
About the percentage battery i'm working on it. Wait until afteroon.
great work!
- battery percentage looks fine in my device. (yhey!)
- i miss some graphics from haxmatic's (just my preference, for example, notice the blue background on lockscreen settings)
- would be great to also have the icons
- would be great to also have the theme apply to widgets(like the music widget)
this isnt based on haxmatic's work?
overall i'd say it works great on our device. Definitely better than most themes. kudos!
For a complete experience you have to use ADW Launcher or Launcher Ex and the dedicated theme for it (this will change the other icons).
what is with the link to the mdpi honeycomb theme?
http://www.4shared.com/file/QjmcZq2e/Honeycomb.html for the pictures above.
ive been using this theme on mik's CM7 Gingerbread ROM with no issues and is an all time favorite
haxzamatic's honeybreaad CM7 Alpha 4

You might want to try LCD density for Root @ market and set value's to 120 to fully enjoy this mod/theme.
Zxhian , 120 is too small for our devices, but if you say that it work, then it will.
One other theme very very good, is from our friend zdUNEX25 from the GT540 forum..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967369
The newest version 3.8 is realy good with a lot of animations and it works like a charm without dencity changer..
Regards
well it looks cool i really want the lock screen but it doesnt work i am running milks CM7 6.4.2 when i try to apply the theme in metamorph it just sits there saying its applying framework-res apk theme pack but never finishesor installes and the theme is self from the apk file is cool but i cant stand the status bar pull down is clear i cant read anything but other than that its cool if you could let me know what i did wrong or how to get that lock screen ????
Delete AndroidThemes folder from the sdcard and the zip. After that redownload the zip and reopen it in Metamorph.
Also do not have the phone pluged with the usb.reboot and try again,it happens sometimes.

1 st post updated with the new honeycomb theme with cirecle battery and working status bar.Optional is fonts for a complete Hoenycomb expierience!
Absolutely LOVE this theme. The only issue I have is the charging images don't show. Looked in the file and they are missing the frameworks_res_ prefix. Not sure if that's why it doesn't show or not. But other than that it's AWESOME!
1 st post updated..
Has anyone successfully installed vanilla or rotary lockscreen for Reflex S ROM, and if so, could they post instructions on how to do it. I have tried various apps that change the lockscreen, but do not like them, and the way that they work.
I tried to follow the instructions in the following thread, however, the file system is different, so it will not work;

Dear Buzz Fellows....
I have made a little changes in Notification Bar....that looks like Sense. It's not a theme, It's a CM7 application.
Just use the Root Explorer Copy the App to System and Change the Permissions to rw-r-r & Reboot the system.
Changes that i have made these are followings.
Notification Bar --- change the Signal Bars & Volume Icon to Sense.
---- change the CM Notification Power Widgets Icon to Sense.
And currently working in Framework ... hope, soon i will upload a framework that looks like Sense.
If you like my Work ...... Say Thanks.
Im on stock rooted Android 5.0. Is there an easy way for me to enable translucent decor for the status and nav bar?

Sorry for not having an answer. But just to double check: I'm on rooted stock (factory image by google), too. Do you also have neither a translucent statusbar nor a coloured statusbar? E.g. my statusbar stays black while having gmail open, although it supposed to be red.

Correct, mine is working the same way...
I think the only option is to decompile /system/framework/framework-res.apk and change the appropriate lines in config.xml. If my copy of apktool didn't keep choking on framework-res.apk I would've tried (and probably failed) already.
EDIT: apktool did not decompile framework-res.apk. Until there's a working version I don't think it's going to change unless Lollipop's built from source.
Waiting for this fix too
Waiting for this too. I had translucent bars thanks to gravitybox before, they caused no smoothness issues. I dunno why google insists in keeping them disabled and make our tablet look 2012....
Like i understand there are three separated (and maybe independent) things:
1) translucent status bar (in launcher)
2) translucent navigation bar
3) colored status bar (in app)
On the first AOSP build i had 1+2. Now on factory image none is activated. Does anyone have more detailed information about how they correlate? And why the built from source version is not compatible with the factory image? Aren't there binary files generated on built which can be exchanged?
I decomplicated framework-res.apk but couldn't find config.xml
I made the change in ./frameworks/base/core/res/res/values/config.xml, built from source, and it didn't work. Then I discovered that I need to change it in ./device/samsung/manta/overlay/frameworks/base/core/res/res/values/config.xml. Gonna try building from source again and see if I can get a working framework-res.apk out of the build.
Aside: man, the update package did NOT like being dirty flashed on top of what I already had installed.
EDIT: No luck. Clean flashed the OTA package that I built, and there was no translucence to be seen. If anyone has any ideas on what I might be missing I am all ears, so to speak.
Thanks for trying! I wish I knew more to be of help..
No need to wait for me anymore. Here's one with translucent decor:
