I'm running The Plain Jane T2 with my sd card setup for A2sd. I unmounted my sd card and now none of the apps show up. just blank icons and when I click them it says they are no longer installed. Is there a way to resync them together, a command something?
It's ok I just did a nandroid restore and all's well. Please delete.
if the apps are on ur sd card and u unmount then ur phone cant read the sd so it cant find the apps, remount the sd card....

Exactly unmounting is like taking out the sd card, if you take our the sdcard your phone can't read it thus you can't see your apps

Anyone else having a problem installing Angry birds? Im running HyperDroid on chuckys droidrom.
not giving me any error message. just says not installed. ive tried downloading from market and installing the APK from sd.
Go to Settings, SD & Phone Storage, then hit Unmount SD card, then try installing.
I have the same problem tried the whole unmounted bit but it won't initialize the down load either through market place or APK.

Cheers worked a treat i'm now installing games at will
Im using Mdeejay_eVo_Sense_v._2.3Revolution. I actually had to place files from /Android/ folder(pc) in /Android/ folder on memory card, and not at / (root). Then I unmounted memory card to install. Have tried everything else, but only this last attempt works.
When I unmount sd card, I can't access the apk file because it's in the sd card. I cannot copy it to my internal memory either!
As above, i partitioned my SD card in the past, and now im changing my SD card.
IS there a way to get all my apps from my old SD card to my new SD card?
Thanks!

those 'phone' only apps cant be transferred...
http://androidforums.com/incredible...ard-best-way-move-data-old-card-new-card.html
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657448
i following this instruction while doing my transfer
--First make a nandroid backup of ur rom with old sdcard inserted.
--Then insert new sdcard and partition it .
--Then copy the clockworkmod folder on the root of old sdcard to the root of new sdcard.
--Then with new sdcard inserted go to recovery and restore the nandroid backup. That's all for restoring the sd-ext apps.
(Note: U can also use advanced backup of recent CWM recoveries to backup the sd-ext alone.)
Another way is install A2SD GUI from market and move all sd-ext apps to phone. Then partition new sdcard and move apps to sd-ext. This wont work if there are lot of apps.
And u can transfer the fat partition files from one card to another using windows pc. Doing so should also restore the .android_secure folder apps.

Remember you cant access your ext partition form windows( inless you enable support for linux partitions dome how. Dont know if some thing like that exist). So try working with linux to access all partitions, copy every thing, pattition your new sd then copy back contents of ext and fat, as it was in old card
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Softwares like "linux-reader" can give u access to ext partitions on windows.
But I think u need to mount sd-ext from recovery. Since normal USB mounting as disk drive from android os will not mount sd-ext.

OK, I got everything set up and it boots within 30 sec with my Gingerbread based MROM. But, I do not know why it can not show how much space my SD card (not the external one) has in the setting and it says that the SD card is unmounted. And for the camera, when I open it, it says that I have to put a SD card in order to use it (I assume that it refers to the external one), but my external SD card is already in my phone. Also, in the music app, when I open it, it says that my SD card is busy, which one it refers to? However, in the file manager, I still can able to see everything inside my external SD card while it says the SD card (not the external one) is empty. Really confusing... Can you guys explain all these?
I was the one who helped him finally get a rom to boot after he tried to unlock the bootloader. He got the famous failed to boot no os error and I believe he may have unplugged the phone and somehow messed up drivers. Anyway, finally after going thru steps in the unlock files, he was able to flash twrp, then cm7 mrom. However, I have no idea why the internal memory is not being detected. :what:
Thanks for encouraging!

OK, miracle comes and I just mounted it! I just simply unmount the SD and remount it and that is it! Sometime we just overcomplicated the situation.

I just tested it on my phone and it's working fine.
Check if your SD Card is mounted or not, my old Galaxy S1 didn't always mounted it after reboot (bad card probably).

My sd card is new but do you think it is because of my cheap sd card
Hello, Now I don't really know what's going on cause i'm going crazy with this phone, eveytime I inserted sd card it asked the partition card and internal sd card and when I chose the external ones I have no idea why it doesn't read my sd card like for example I wanna transfer my file via airdroid or wanna restore an app via Titanium backup or play an NDS game it just read only the internal storage even though it shows on ES file explore (I tried the internal ones and it format my SD card, and S did put all the files back in place but it didn't help, the es file explore in photo was before I put my files back, by the way), my phone just doesn't read my sd card, it's like it just work as a one way storage, when I was using a Sony, this doesn't happens what so ever.
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem of mine, please help me. I took some pictures to make proves :crying::crying:
I'm terribly sorry for my English, English is not my primary language.

In titanium backup, open the preferences menu then choose backup folder location. Choose Storage provider (click to change). Then pick DocumentProvider storage, select the SD card on the left menu then press Select at the bottom right corner
go to settings>>storage>>click on external sdcard>>top corner 3dots>>settings>> format
then move media to sdcard.
Your SD card is showing in the file manager. You've 32gb sd card right? "FD89-1CE6" is your sd card. For titanium backup you need go to TB settings and set the backup directory to SD CARD ( FD89-1CE6)

Yeah, Thank you very much, i just did it last night, kinda having trouble with the superSU at first though, I tried to patched Titanium Backup on lucky patcher and it kept saying that I need to root my device, so i had to reflash superSU again. Thank god it went through. Now I having trouble with the internal SD card, I couldn't get it my play store to install app to my sd card or to re-direct my app to read file in my Sd card, for example I installed Chaos ring 3, I had to move all the file from my sd card to internal, it's knilling my internal storage TT^TT . Does anyone have a solution for that, please let me know.... I think everybody have the same problem though, does anyone know how to fix this solution? :crying::crying:
Thank you

In Android 6.0, once you format ur external sd card as internal it becomes a part of ur internal memory and functions as internal one(the external SD card won't show up in file managers). Hence the phone decides where your app is installed either the real internal memory or the now formatted SD card working as internal memory.
If you don't format it as internal memory. The apps won't install on external SD card and you can't move the apps to external SD card.

No you can't coz the data on your sd card will be encripted n you won't be able to read it on your computer via card reader. I'd suggest you to keep your sd card as "portable device" if you want to transfer data via card reader.
