I just had version 2.5.0.1 installed. Then I purchased and installed ROM Manager Premium. It downgraded me to 2.0.2.1.
Why isn't this the latest version? And what will happen if I just re-flash back to 2.5.0.1? Will ROM Manager have a fit? Or will it just display the new re-flashed version?
Resolved: I just used ROM Manager to upgrade back to 2.5.0.1. Piece of cake...I think I like this program!

How did you do this? I just used the Unrevoked 3 on my already rooted phone but it still shows me at the old 2.0.2.1
Rom manager can't flash a recovery.

Unrevoked 3.1 was released today, which includes version 2.5.0.1. You can always download the new version and reflash.

If I'm completely stock, I just download, name it update.zip, boot into recovery, and choose apply update? Do I got that right?

You're welcome... I was just a lucky guy
For anyone who flashed the KB3 radio you'll need to flash back to KB1 for this update (it patches the radio).
Worked like a charm, thanks OP!

If you're unlocked just flash the SU binary via recovery. You don't need a special rooted version.

If you've flashed your radio manually to the KB3 radio then you can use the .zip from my previous post that contains the KB1 radio. Flash that in CWM and you're good to go. If you haven't manually replaced the radio then you have nothing to worry about.

What you said in those two posts are two different things. I'm sure Netarchy will release a compatible version with 2.3.4 shortly. He's usually really quick on these things.
Sorry if this is the wrong place. I tried installing Froyo AOSP(2.2.2) for Tattoo v0.45 released but the phone enterer a boot loop and I had to do a restore. How can I know the Recovery version I'm using? I can see it was created by MAVERIX but I don't even know if it is the recovery I'm supposed to have.
Thanks

Yap just download ti from market and flash recovery from app.
Hey guys, just passing along good news!! Seems Koush as added our Atrix into Rom Manager!! Now recovery can be flashed with ease.
look at the bottom addition!!
http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/02/clockwork-recovery-image.html
So should this version solve the issues we have when we do a Nandroid recovery in the current CWM build for the atrix?
One step forward!
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Ha! I literally just installed it for the fixed permissions feature and then just stumbled into this thread. Glorious day.
Still gonna wait for the atrix community to support this version of CWM first before I flash this recovery.

I would assume so since we now have official support! Not sure how this recovery differs from Tenfars' but its all good! I have not tried it yet, since I'm waiting for my replacement atrix to arrive.
So if we flash that img via fastboot will it just install over the one I have?
sweet thanks for the info!!
yay! I'm gonna wait til probably tomorrow for Rom manager update in the market (hopefully) to flash it.
Sweet flashed the new recovery! Looks good so far

Thanks for the good news!
It does not have support for the external sd card. Only recognizes the internal one. I don't recommend the install. Ill update when it adds support. I installed it through rom manager
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Yes. Someone must inform them..
External sd, is refferenced as sd-ext, instead of sdcard-ext like the atrix.
The backups are saved in internal.
A choice where to save it, would be nice.

Has anyone that has tried this emailed the author about the external card? That's a biggie, for us.

I read in another post that this version of CWM only supports the sd-ext so those of you that like romracers recovery can just keep that.
CWM does support ext4 though and it has for the last couple of point releases I think.

Well it defaults to the ext-sd, if you have one. Otherwise, I guess it defaults to the internal. The install .zip. and backup/restore features are all automated now, in terms of you not being able to select internal or external; i.e. if you have a ext-sd installed, and you simply select backup in CWM, then the process starts automatically, without giving the option to select where you would like to store the backup. I didn't care for it, and went back to RomRacer's; more options + colors.

Yeah. I'm having trouble with it too. Will not perform a backup at all. Asking to ensure I have v4.4.0.0 or higher installed. We'll yeah, I've got 5.0 installed!
Going back to romracers as well.

I believe that they are working on a way to break 2.3.4 still. I haven't noticed any post confirming a successful root of the OTA update.
There has been some talk about gingerbreak doing something but it was experimental and I didn't do a whole lot of digging so I wouldn't recommend even trying.

Does anyone know if there's an updated guide to downgrading? I think the links (like to download the JAVA JDK) needs to be updated. I've spent hours reading and trying to find exactly what I need to download. I've tried installing 3 different JDK and none of them will let me install the Android SDK.
Edit: I found a fix to my problem. The Android SDK wasn't detecting JDK, all I had to do was click back then next, WTF...
