looks like Tmobile vibrant is eligible for 35% bing - Galaxy S I9000 General

cash back discount
which is smoking - if off contract price is $439, drops to $285 with bing

What's Bing?

bing - the search engine microsoft built to compete with google
they started this bing cashback program sometime back to get attention to their search engine and i'd forgotten about it - the cashback program expires July 30th, but this purchase is still eligible
if you google for it, and go to their home page (Windows Live ID), once you've set up an acct, go to shopping page, enter "t mobile" in the search bar at top, it'll pull up a bunch of hits, but at the top there'll be what looks like an ad for Tmo
read it and it sez 35% discount or cashback
go to tmo thru that ad or link - once there, go to the samsung vibrant page
and there you'll see the bing cashback logo just under the phone's picture
the purchase has to be thru that link, ie online at tmo's site
and you'll need a paypal acct to receive the cashback
i asked on another forum i'm on about bing cashback really working, as i remembered folks there talking about it - they all said it's for real - on small items, they pay right away, on major items, they take 60 days (which is what the bing cashback page said) but still, $285 beats $439 (if that's the real off contract price)

Would this only work on a new account? The Bing logo disappears as soon as I log in.
I guess if I do have to start a new plan, I can cancel immediately, and if they charged the whole $60 for the month + $35 activation that still saves me $80 overall, heh.
Edit: Looks like I would have to completely cancel my current account and make a new one, and they won't let me transfer my number on the site so there's the possibility I might lose it entirely. Unless you want to ditch your current number looks like current subscribers are SOL.

Give them the promotion code "Windows Mobile" (yes that is the promotion code).
Say no to text plans, internet plans, phone insurance and accessories.
Phone is $99.99 with $50 rebate = $49.99.
Free Shipping, Activation fees waived, 1 year contract
Thought some of you may be interested. Offer is good until October 1st as far as I know. I just got mine.
As far as I know, that was discontinued a LONG time ago.
Second, it only worked if you were opening a new account, not for existing accounts.
It is still good. That is how I got my wing on 9/17. It is for new accounts or adding a new line to a family plan, which is what I did.
I just got that phone, switched service to at&t and switched back and canceled the old account. They have to legally let you keep your number that way. And it is good until October 1st.
nice find, you should cross post this in the genreal discussion forums so that people without Wings can see this...
cheers
just signed up for this tonight... still active.

Touch HD £29 on Orange Canary 25 £20 per month

If you go onto the orange website:
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/
Select Pay Monthly New Customers
Select the Touch HD and click on Buy
Next click the show all plans and scroll down.
There is a Canary 25 24 Month Contract for £20 per month
400 Anytime minutes
500 Texts
Unlimited anytime calls to orange mobiles
The handset price is £29.50 which looks like a mistake. It should be £293.50.
Have gone all the way through the order process successfuly.
Don't know how long this will be there for.
I posted this a few hours ago under the mobiles.co.uk thread.
I was thinking this was an mistake and it must be. Debating on pouncing.
But then again, the Racoon 40 12m contract comes out at only £25 more in total.
Canary 25: £20x24m + £29.50 = £509.50
Racoon 40: £38x12m + £78 = £534.00
A good deal for those who wants a low monthly bill but personally not having to wait an extra 12 months is worth a whole lot more.
just checked, they're doing it for £29.50 on all of the £20/month price plans on the 24month contract(tho only mention the price on the canary 25(£20/month with the £5/month web discount)). I clicked on buy on each of them and it gave the £29.50 in each case, for whatever reason the £29.50 is only on the £20/month on the 24month contract and not on the higher ones(only tried 1 but it said £195 for the phone).
so for that need unlimited text but can live with 400mins the dolphin 25 is the one to go for. canary is unlimited orange to orange, dolphin is unlimited text, racoon is unlimited land line(only 100text tho, enough for me as I don't text that much but not for many on here from what I've read).
dont forget to go through a cashback site....
that should be a mistake bought my HD on panther 45
ordered
I just put an order through just now.
Hopefully will get it on Tuesday!
Good bye N95!
The cheapest I see it for now is £48.50...
Its gone for me.
Still there for me.
Yep still there for me too.
Need to click on all plans at the top.
What prices are the data plans on Orange, they seem to be poor unless you haggle from what I have read in various forums inc this most excellent and informative one.
If it actually turns up thats my next and final hurdle to HD heaven, @ £20 a month I don't mind paying the often quoted £7.50 but I want a reasonable 250mb+ bundle.
BimB
OK, I'm going to go out on a limb and ask if anyone's order number works at www.orange.co.uk/ordertracking ?
So far no confirmation email!
No tracking number, that I saw on the confirmation page either.
BimB
Hi all,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but earlier today i tried to order this deal but by actually speaking to a rep. All was going well with choice of plan and device but the rep was unable to process the order and had to put me on hold after a long wait he came back and said the price being shown is wrong and it should be £127 so obviously i declined to proceed.
Also if you click the Terms and conditions from where you place your order you will see this,

@SingaporeAirlines,
That's all very well and good but again if you read the part of the T&C's i copied you will see until they take payment off your debit or credit card there is no contract and then can back out.
It will be interesting to see if anyone actually manages to get their phone or not as it all seems alright until they try and take payment and that's when it seems to fail. But good luck to all that have tried.
Marc
Well
I am in the same boat as SingaporeAirlines.
I have my email but so far no money has been deducted from my account.
I have a feeling that once they get processed tomorrow, they might get cancelled.
I did think it could be correct and it hasn't filtered down to the sales people yet?
Why haven't they edited the webpage if it is wrong, can't be that difficult even for a weekend!
Fingers Crossed
BimB
well it seems to have been corrected now, just checked and its upto £293.50.
My order seems to have gone through. I got an e-mail from Orange saying my phone had been dispatched and they gave me a tracking number. Should be here by 10am Tuesday morning!
Woo-hoo!!
Well
They have taken the £29.50 plus £3 delivery from my account.
So should be here today

Evo available on Wirefly for $189.99 with no MIR + $50 Bing Cashback

Well, I certainly woke up to a pleasant surprise. I've been stuck with having to buy the Evo on Wirefly to claim a hundred dollar savings I had won, only to see that the final price is thirty dollars lower than I expected! You pay $169.99 with a 35 dollar activation fee. There's no taxes, and the FedEx shipping is free.
For those of you wondering, Wirefly is a reputable place to purchase from. Two weeks ago, I purchased two blackberry Curves and a Hero from them with a new contract. They waived the activation fee via a promotion, shipped it within twenty four hours of ordering via two day FedEx for free, and the phones arrived in two days after it was shipped. The only problem is speaking to their sales department; it consists of nothing but overseas representatives who are difficult to understand at times and try to push device protection on your devices constantly. If you order online, though, there's absolutely no issues. They allow you to check on the status of your order, and include every detail of the purchase and plan in the sales receipt if you want to make changes.
Just thought I'd share this great deal .
Edit: Oh! I also forgot to mention that Wirefly is a partner of Bing Cashback. When you order through Bing, you get $50 cash back on your account. That brings the total cost of the device down to $119.99. Sounds good to me!
I have used Wirefly 3 times before and they are great! I am impatient and do not want to wait for my phone this time though haha
That sounds pretty awesome! I'm going to have to see what I can do with this one.
If ordering from them do you know if I can port a phone number?

Yes, you can port your phone number through them. I transferred my parent's and brother's numbers from Metro PCS to the Sprint phones without a problem.
I wonder what will happen if someone tries to upgrade who is not eligible for an upgrade and who is still on contract. I went through the motion of buying it there and the final price came to $180 or something. Wonder what would happen after I get the phone.
too bad you cant add a discount to the plans through wirefly..

can't you just call up sprint once your order is processed to add the discount? nowhere in their terms state you can't add discount; it says you can't switch to a lower service plan, but adding a discount isn't lowering the service plan
here's the terms of their instant discount:
INSTANT DISCOUNTS
Wirefly promises you savings in the form of instant discounts with no rebates or gimmicks when you sign up for wireless carrier service. Delivering on this promise means that you must agree to maintain your agreement for a minimum of 6 months after activation. Deactivating your phone, or downgrading features or the rate plan, may lead to additional charges.
When you sign up for wireless carrier service through Wirefly, we discount your phone purchase price by an Equipment Discount amount ranging from $200 to $300. By ordering through Wirefly, you agree to repay this discount if, during the 181 days after your new equipment is activated, if you:
Fail to pay your balance due to your carrier each month
Disconnect this line of service
Transfer this equipment to another line of service
Change your carrier service rate plan to a lower monthly service rate plan
Deactivate the email/data feature if one was required at the point of purchase
Transfer/port an existing phone number from another account if this is a new line of service
Replace an existing account with this account if this is a new line of service
Return or exchange your phone and it is not in its original, new condition with no more than 30 minutes of usage
If you break any of these contract provisions, except as a result of a documented service quality issue related to the carrier service, you authorize us to charge your credit card in repayment of the Equipment Discount.
EDIT: they changed the price to $189.99
As of 4:30 this afternoon, Wirefly has officially run out of HTC Evos. The site lists the next shipment time in five to seven days. Fortunately, I was able to get my order placed at 4:00. Unless you really want that $50 rebate, I'd look toward other stores.
These things are selling out an alarming rate.
Now it says shipping within 20 days...
Oh man. Still $50 is probably worth it considering I still have my iPhone for the time being.
i know letstalk is getting shipment June 10, but they still have backorders they need to fulfill; don't know any other place where i can get it without waiting for the mail in rebate
sprint online store has them in stock and can receive in 2-5 days, but not willing to pay $1049 now and have to wait for rebates for 2-4 months
double post
Wirefly is awesome but never call and place an order over the phone.

You couldn't be more correct. I stupidly placed the order for my parents and brother via Wirefly's sales department via phone, and it was a horrendous experience. It took over an hour for the idiot to understand what I wanted, write my name down properly, and to shut up about the extended warranty and accessories.
That being said, that's what the online store is for. It's just like the rest of them.
Also, wow. Shipping within 20 days? I was 15 minutes away from having to wait a month for my Evo to arrive? Insane.
I got lucky and got my order in before they raised the price. 169 + 50 bing cash back plus avoiding 45$ in taxes here in CA. It arrives tomorrow =).

Holy crap, shut up! Mine is arriving tomorrow as well! . Of course, I placed my order when it was back at $189.99, but it's still a great deal.
Any idea what'd happen if I tried to order this even though I'm not eligible for an upgrade from Sprint? I'm trying to see if I can grab one of these to participate in development. Although, I'm not sure I'm willing to blow $450 for the privilege.
Ok. I'm on Wirefly and I want to add this phone as a new line on a family plan.
I am seeing:
Service Plan: $9.99/month
Sprint Data Pack - mobile web, web-based email, and basic Sprint TV/Music: $15.00/month
4G Premium Data: $10.00/month
What's that $15/month part? If my family is already on the Any Mobile Any Time with data included, is that required?
I want to try and put this in ASAP!

It does look like I can get this for $189 (+$50 bing cashback) if I select that I would like to extend my contract with Sprint. I'm a little curious about this, you'd think that I shouldn't be able to do this, but at the same time Wirefly probably has no idea that I started my contract in November 09. I'm just worried about what happens when I get the phone! Is no one the wiser? Do people just not know? Maybe I should try this out and give you all an update as to the outcome. I'm willing to bet if there's some kind of foul up and a cancellation charge appears on my account, I could possibly settle it with Sprint feigning ignorance. It's not like I want to jump ship or anything after all, I like Sprint.
Hope you find out. I'm on my hero and not due for upgrade or anything... I wanna upgrade to evolution from hero, but don't have hundreds of dollars

Tmo's web is now taking orders for the vibrant

just got my order confirmed online at 11:00PM EST
Have a link? I can't seem to find it listed.
I noticed that I could order it on T-mobile website also. My only problem is I have a full upgrade but on the website it only gives me an instant discount of $60. For whatever reason I have always had to go into the store and buy a phone through them to get my upgrade. It is gay, but I guess I will go in tomorrow and purchase the phone that way. =P
i just went back - go in, to "shop", then "phones & devices" then select what line you want to upgrade, then select android phones, then samsung, scroll to bottom of 2nd page, and clik on the vibrant
Can anyone help me here?
I already have a t-mobile sim on Even More Plus. I just want to buy the handset for $499.99 but the website makes me add a new plan!
I log on to my account and it won't let me look at any phones to upgrade.
Can I just add the service at 59.99 and the activation fee $35 (included in first bill) and just not pay these when I get the bill and get the new number cut off as I don't need it...?
Thanks!
Just saw t-mobile's site looks like they are taking orders. Wish I had $500 bucks to spend on a phone. This phone looks great.
do you think its still gonna be $165 at the store like it is online? This was not what i thought the upgrade price would be. I thought it would be $250 minus MIR! But i just ordered it for $165 online because of the instant savings!

[Q] Trophy for $0.01 at the Microsoft Store

The Microsoft Store has the Trophy for $0.01 right now. I'm strongly considering. The only reservation I have is that the fine print on the bottom of the page states that I can not use an upgrade on one line and switch the phone to another. They say I could be charged full retail if I do that.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them?
Has anyone upgraded through the Microsoft Store?
Dan
i haven't because my plan wasn't on that list and i would have had to get a plan that was $20 more a month than what my current plan is
Amazon wireless also has this for 1 cents plus $20 gift card. Although I liked MS has one-day shipping while amazon is giving free two-day shipping.
I just got my new Trophy from Amazon Wireless. DON'T DO IT! All the horror stories on shipping with Prestige 2-day are true! They totally botched my delivery and I didn't get it until the 3rd day Some have had it much worse.
One thread on Amazon about this issue. Other threads linked inside.
And you don't even get a choice with how to ship it! If I had a choice, I would have gone Fedex or UPS. It was seriously crap.
You also get 4000 Microsoft points free...too bad you can't use them towards Apps, they can be only used on Zune (music) and Xbox 360
I got mine through Amazon Wireless for a penny. Same deal, if you deactivate the line before 6 months, they charge $200. It was shipped via UPS and got here by the 2nd business day. As for the agreement, I emailed Amazon Wireless to ask if I could add a line or change my text messaging plan. The person said I could add or remove services whenever I want, but I have to keep the line active for 180 days to avoid being charged.
Also, I received a $25 gift card code the day after I activated it, and the promotion Verizon and Microsoft are doing to offer a free Xbox 360 game is applicable.
