Have any of the hong kong xperia users here gotten a firmware update to 20? I'm using my x10 on rogers canada so i just need to know if i need to plug in a HK sim card to get the update.
nope still on 014, but i rooted my phone yesterday, so far so good. just toying around with this baby
Up to now there is not update released for Generic HK.
點解香港人唔買香港機喎?
Updates are not dependent on sim card but on phone firmware

Hong Kong user using a Hong Kong handset on a Hong Kong network. Still on R1FA014 waiting for an update.
But yeah, the update shouldn't be SIM dependent.
Don't use the pcbs compasion, use the update service tool whitch is called SEUS.
My pc compansion says my phoning is up to date but SEUS just gave me the update to 20.

I looked at the thread with all the 2.3.4 roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
but I don't know which I will need for my Hong Kong carrier-branded SGS2.
I have downloaded Odin, since there's no update via the About Phone>Update
now which is the most recent rom that I should be using?
The build number shown in my settings:
GINGERBREAD.ZSKG2
Appreciate any assistance!!
Ryan
zskg2 is latest for hk, and is not carrier specific rom

Hi guys.
Please update this thread once ICS is available in your country/region. I will update the list accordingly..
List of countries:
Germany
Taiwan
India
Hong Kong
Singapore (SingTel)
Singapore
Philippines (Sun)
Thailand
Malaysia
Indonesia
Vietnam
Nepal
Bangladesh
Sri Lanka
Austria
Belgium
France
Hungary
Italy
Spain
United Kingdom
Sweden
Denmark
UAE
Brazil
Note: Please let me know if anything needs to be corrected.
One thing that is not clear to some, is that INTERNET IS ONE. It is your DEVICE that defines the region, NOT where you are.
So if you are in South Africa and have a Hong-Kong phone, you'll get the Hong-Kong update. If you are in Greece but have installed a custom ROM that marks the phone as a UK device, you'll have to wait for the UK update, NOT Greek. Nothing will pop-up for Greece, either OTA or Kies. Except if you move it back to stock.

Nothing in the UK so far.
rien en France
is this really needed? I mean we can all just use the German release
This one is for naives

Well the German release doesn't look to have a lot of the Asian languages I get on the Thai stock ROMs.
So I'll guessing I'll lose the ability to enter Thai characters without installing a third party keyboard.
I'm keenly waiting for a SE Asia ROM.
Right now its only for Germany it seems..
Anywhere else??

From what I hear, india users may need to update via Kies once the update is launched for India users. The Samsung mobile india page says they will be announcing it soon. They are "working on it".
.
how about "regions where ICS is out for Galaxy Note"..
That was the point of this thread.... we all KNOW it is not in India, UK, USA, or even Uzifloozistan or anywhere else... so lets assume we know that.. this thread will be pointless if everyone posts daily where ICS isnt..
I have a SE Asia phone and already have the update

I do believe that there is no Malaysian version of the firmware. Also, from what I understand the docomo phone is restricted to using only the Japanese firmware. However, your language may be supported in the Japanese firmware. Have you checked?
