anyway to fix this error or anyone encounter this after installing themes? i am getting this error whenever i reboot my device. anyway to fix it? thanks in advance
Quick google search tells me it is part of the touchscreen software. I would think that it got corrupted somehow. Do a hard reset then reload one of your known good Backups.
once i remove custom theme the error has gone. but once i install it appear again whenever i reboot. any help on that?

Which custom theme? Can you provide any details? I am getting the same gwes.exe error randomly and it all started after customizing the taskbar.
i am using de_key themes and get the error
I tried installing several pkgs of android on my HTC pure. I keep on getting an error
*is not certified" and "missing components". Both errors on one dialog box.
I kept thinking that it was the certification error. But now I am starting to think that something is not registered inside winmo that is causing the error.
Note that this is the factory ROM. Note I set my sd root up exactly as instructed.
Also not that when installing a cab, the progress bar starts. But it shows no progress and I eventually get an "unsuccessful install" page.
Well, after about 8hrs of work, it came to mind that I might have deleted some factory files while installing and uninstalling a bunch of software. So I did a hard'
reset. This cured the Haret.exe problem.
Now I am on to the next problem which is the progress bar stopping short of the full android boot.
Hi all,
I can no longer install any paid apps on my phone; as soon as I click the "download" button (which shows the price in case of paid apps) I get the error message "an error occured. Please try again". Everything works for free apps; everything also works from my tablet (which uses the same Google account), so it's definitely the phone, not the account that causes the problem.
I have tried it on WiFi as well as on 3G; I have rebooted the phone; I have downgraded the market app from 3.3.1 to 3.2.0. All to no avail :-(
Any help with fixing this is greatly appreciated.
Try to factory restore and when you do set everything up but before go to market and wipe everything and restart
problem resolved?
hi, have you been able to resolve the problem?
i have the exact problem, able to install any free app however no paid ones with same error as you. there is a workaround however, you can purchase from internet browser on your android device.
if you have managed to resolve this, please let me know this is irritating.

No I haven't.I have to admit though that I never tried the factory reset as was suggested. I do not purchase that many apps so the browser work around is OK for me right now.
it could be the rom that ur using.. because when i had MIUI sometimes open others not nd no connection to.. or market has allot of bugs.. try the oldest market not the 1 that looks like applanet the other with top green nd bottom white..
application x has stopped. that is all I got now from my iconia. every application even the andorid is giving the same message.
my tab is rooted with kernel .2.6.39.4+
tried to do factory reset nothing happened. tried to do hard reset with power + volume - also nothing occurred.
I can't even enable usb debugging.
last time I saw it working i got message encrypt failed.
now I'm unable to change any settings even the screen lock. I would like to format it and re-install any stock image. how can i do it.
thanks.

thanks for your reply. but I can't even launch the market app. as it close with forced close error.
the device is dead. it can boot normally. but every and each app is closing with application error.
I can't even perform factory reset. as it doesn't seem to do anything.
I can't install any apps from google play as it is crashing.
hard reset not working too.
First off, sorry about the uninspiring title
Now that that's out of the way, here's the problem.
Have got the latest update for the Edge and it was around 70+ mb (version details in the title).
After the update the "Storage" option within "Smart Manager" throws up the error: "Unfortunately, SmartManager Clean SDK has stopped." (Screenshot attached)
This happens every time it is run, even after a fresh reboot. But doesn't happen in case the cache of the app is cleared. But this only helps for one run. By the time the app is run again, same error.
Anyone else facing the same issue? If yes, found any workarounds? Also, how do I get this info to Samsung? Can't find an official forum that I can post this, so that they get it fixed.
Help appreciated in advance :fingers-crossed::highfive:
Ever tried resetting the device? Or wiping cache in recovery?
Working fine over here

Just had a look: NO problems here...
Which font are you using on your S7Edge?
Is your device "rooted"? Have you "disabled" any apps?
@JohnLouise: Mine's not rooted... yet.. Also don't want to reset, which would mean setting up the device from scratch, time consuming, would like to avoid.
I clean the Storage time and again, a habit that I believe is good in the long run. I had done it an hour before the update and it worked without issues. No new apps were installed after that, which would point the fingers squarely at the update being the culprit.
@henklbr: No system apps disabled, although i have disabled all microsoft provided apps (but that shouldn't cause the issue). Also, its the Rosemary font. You can find it in Settings>Display>Font
FYI, I use the small version of the font.
Well, guess I have no other choice but to wait for the next update, or someone who has a solution to this, and hope its fixed, or my phone to go bonkers out of the blue, in which case i'll have to reset.

Wiping cache in samsung recovery mode? U don't need to be rooted on that. Maybe the update causes issues and wiping cache and dalvik will resolve the problem.
I'm having the same problem since the last update, and I'm not rooted either.
Same here. Even after factory reset and clear cache. Now disabled the service, no error notification anymore. but still. It's not usable anymore
any news? im having the same problem here

No problems here.
Rooted and on latest
(Allthough the latest Update, i installed from Fresh (Complete wipe and reinstalled everything)
I thought to myself a 5th dirty update is pushing it abit.
All working fine here:
Same here, although I have non edge version on stock ROM. Nothing helped, so far. Hope next update will fix it.

Same problem here. Haven't resettled or anything
Same Problem here after June update (German T-Mobile branding).
Tried several times wiping Cashe of everything that has something to do with Clean Master SDK, or Smart Manager.
Did not help.
Today, i tried Factory Reset.
Did not help.
Imediately after that... i downloaded the latest Firmware with SamFirm.
Flashed it via ODIN.
Did not help.....
What the actual ****.
This is annoying as hell tbh. Especially, since over time, a lot "trash" sums up >_>
My only Workaround now is, downloading the Cleanmaster App, and delete "trash" with that, and deinstall the app again because it sucks balls and is annoying.

Yes, this is a problem with SD card. I had same problem. Factory reset didn't help.
I tried clean my SD card from old and some corrupted files and now it works just fine.

i never removed my sd card or anything. it just suddenly works ^^
don't ask me why. maybe a firmware issue, and now it's gone.
But i'll reflash with Odin 100% fresh as soon nougat is out!
