MESSAGES - Hero, G2 Touch General

Does anyone know if there is a way to view an Inbox and Sent Items - message folders - for texting on the HTC Hero? The messages by default are like a thread.

There is no SMS inbox and outbox on Android. It was designed with threaded view in mind.

It would still be possible to query the SMS content provider and filter / arrange messages in an inbox/outbox fashion. I haven't found an app that does it and I have no interest in developing one on my own, but it's not really that hard for someone with a little bit of Android experience, so maybe this feature will pop up in some sms apps (i just doubt that there's any wide interest in it).

Problem With SMS Threading HELP!

I use two apps for contacts and sms. For contacts I use PocketCM and for sms I use VITO sms chat. Well the problem is they both offer threaded sms but it doesn’t seem to be working for me. I can see what is sent to me but not what I am sending out. Sounds sort of stupid to be worried about that but that is why I wanted these programs was so I could see what I just sent out seems pretty vital to me. If anyone can help with this that would be amazing! Or if anyone knows of a better sms program in which I can thread the messages please do tell.
have your "save sent items enabled "

[req] A way to link the regular SMS inbox to HTC's Manila threaded SMS

Hey everyone,
I love the TouchFlo3d's threaded SMS look, but can't stand that in Touch Flo, it's hard to just go thru each msg one by one. I like opening the regular Windows mobile inbox because it's already presorted by users. Only thing is that when I open up a thread, I only get WM's ugly threaded SMS window.
Is there anyways, or can someone make a program/script that links up WM's inbox to HTC's Manila threaded SMS window?

Htc Hd2 - Any Way To View Sms Messages In Classic Style

Inbox
outbox
sent items
drafts
deleted items
At the moment it goes straight to my inbox and the last message that was sent, very annoying as i have to then press"all messages" and then get the drop down menu.
Any ideas?
go to SMS, menu->setting->traditional mode~~
I don't see that option in my HTC Touch2 (Mega). I don't like the threaded view. Prefer the classic style of SMS.
on a similar note
With both the email and sms is there anyway to go to the inbox by default for maul or to all messages by default. I like the Sense view but going straight to the inbox makes much more sense to me?
please
Yes i completely agree ... there def needs to be a way that texts go back to All messages by default ... same with emails. This just doesnt make sense!

[Q] threaded sms view - messages under wrong contact

Hey there.
My HD Mini shows sms messages under wrong contact in threaded view (e.g. I open contact card for John and there are messages from Paul).
I suspect HTC Messages, but have no idea how to fix this (and not losing my messages in the process would be nice too).
Does anyone know how to get rid of this nasty bug?

'Refreshed' Email Application

I noticed the default Email application (with the yellow icon) has been updated. I now see icons representing the name of the contact, similar interface to Gmail, etc. One thing I thought I remember reading about was message threading. This doesn't seem to be working though. Each email I with the same subject (just replies) is continuing to be put in a separate thread/email item. Is there an option I am missing that will enable threading? Sure, it's not a huge disappointment, but I figured with this many years under its belt, the default Email app would allow threading of messages. My dad doesn't like text messaging so we regularly email throughout the day resulting in 12+ emails. Right now, they are still showing up as 10+ email even though they could be shown similar to Gmail in 1 thread.
Thanks.
I'd like to know how to stop conversations in gmail!
I can't help with that, but I have another question someone might know the answer to: how to hide the "Show X more folders" that is ALWAYS at the top of the email inbox view?
