I feel that after updating or rooting or maybe it's just a timing coincident, same apps are missing from the market, like:
SweetDreams
Setting Profiles
and couple of games
Have any one noticed the same thing?

My Googlefu is weak in this area. Can't seem to find any info on it.
I've found all three of those with my slide. That's pretty strange. Have you tried going to the androlib site and scanning the qr to go straight to the app?
Im using launcherpro now. Have you tried restarting or re-syncing your account.

I cannot get handcent now... is gone and I had a couple other people with this phone look as well and cannot find it. we found the font packs but no handcent. I went to another site and got the QR code and it would not allow me to even open the app, it force closed every time on me. I wonder if there are bugs they are fixing and took it off the market for now.
I am not able to find Launcherpro either. I even tried going through androilib and scanning it. I also used my fiance's slide and got the same results. I was able to find the other two though.
Earlyer I was looknig for LauncherPro, and couldnt find it in the Market, did find it on Andlib and scanned it, but the download fails saying it cant be found.

Exactly. This happens with most Home-replacement apps it seems. Tried scanning barcodes, but the pnames cannot be found. LOTS of apps seem to be missing. I'll start making a list.

when this issue started for me with handcent I started looking into it. Handcent mod says it is google's issue. they said some apps when getting a update are not rolling back out onto the market for some reason. they did not remove the app but it is not there. Please Google, fix it.
This is so weird. I've tested with other 2.1 phones, and there is no problem. Just seems to be the Slide.
Quick Settings is missing as well.

Its because of the custom UI non compatable apps shouldnt show up in the market. At least thats what ive read. I have noticed this as well many apps are missing.

That is just full of suck. :-/ Just manually downloading the apps anyways. Screw SenseUI.
Also, this Genius button is absurdly useless.
i've had the slide for about a month now.
at first, we were running software number 1.sumpin rather... then received an upgrade to 1.18... on that 'beta' software, the MTS was essentially white-listed on the market, where only a few paid apps were showing up, etc. we then received another update to 1.27.531.1 which is what should be running out of the box.. all of my paid apps are gone, but it seems htc is having issues with applications that are being upgraded... they aren't reappearing on the marketplace unless previously installed.. and yes evo exact same issue. hopefully a fix comes soon..

the genius button does more than you think....
you can say
Search (name of place, location, thing or topic) - Map or google searches
Where Am I - Pulls up Google Maps
Call (Name of a contact) - Calls Contact
Music - Opens Music Player
Play Music - Plays music (If music is set to play random it will play random)
Show Me - Shows list of applications
Bluetooth On
Bluetooth Off
GPS ON
GPS OFF
Wifi ON
Wifi OFF
Weather
change mode
open______ (insert app)
it definitely isnt limited to what is on the screen.....
Yea, it doesnt really speed things up, but does help a lot while driving..
in fact, you can also say driving mode on...
From what I read on twitter. The release of the evo took one of the servers down and thats why some apps dont appear. Google is aware and is trying to fix the situation.

Handcent and adw launcher have both released on their website that this is an issue with google, not them. They have both uploaded apk files for download until the issue is fixed. I would hope all devs are doing the same if their app is impacted by this issue. I downloaded both and they work great!

Why can't I see Angry Birds Beta in the market or Glyder along with a slew of other apps? I don't mind side loading but is there an app that would allow me to see these items in the market? Is something mis-configured on my phone?

I'm wondering this too. JI6 soft bricked my phone. All of my paid apps showed up except for Wunder Radio which is the one app I use CONSTANTLY. This totally sucks.
Download sgs tools on market and run the market fix
If they don't show right away give at least 24 hours after market fix all missing apps will come back

I just found the apk online for the app I was missing. After installing from that it loaded with all of my saved settings, etc. Very weird, but I won't complain.

Yea, I just rooted my phone but I noticed some of the apps on the Market does not show up. I used another non-rooted Eris and the apps show up. So, is the current Market a different version?

I am running the stock ROM on a Verizon branded R800x. I really hate Vcast apps and am aware that the other stock roms for this phone have the android market listed instead of Vcast. My question is it possible to get a altered version of the Games launcher with the android market listed in the top right instead of Vcast? Thank you

Not without rooting the phone.
Sorry, I should have clarified. I am rooted and have an unlocked bootloader..... with this being the case is it still a possibility? I am downloading a UK rom and seeing if I can pick it apart to try and make something work. But again if anyoine has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate any feedback....

Did you try and uninstall the Vcast app to start? I wold say the Xperia Play Launcher app is the same as on other phones and some sort of backend setting for the market is what controls that button. So theoretically uninstalling VCast App Store should do the trick.
K, I will use titanium to freeze it and see what happens. I think I may have tried that some time ago and it made thje phone super glitchy..... but I will try and post the results. I only want to replace the Vcast button with the Android Market shortcut... Hopefully if removing and or freezing vcast apps works I am hoping this will help....

Yeah thats a good idea to see if that does the trick and not risk any damage.

Is it possible to list only my purchased apps in the Play Store under my apps. I am not a fan of the way that "My Apps - All" lists every app I have ever downloaded so I have to scroll forever to find the paid apps I actually want to re-install after a ROM re-install.

Why not just backup those paid apps and save them in different location then just reinstall them after new ROM installed?

I guess I could do a restore through Titanium Backup. I don't have any good reason, I just like to re-install apps from the market.
As far as I know there is know way to do this.
I also find it a real pain in the neck as my kids have installed hundreds of games so I have to to scroll down for ages to find my purchased apps.
I wish there was a way to delete things from "My Apps" but people have been complaining about this for months but Google has never responded to this.

I use appbrain. It lets you make custom lists to only show the apps you want. You can install from appbrain OR it can send you directly to the market. It makes installing the apps you want simple and easy.

I got my Mate 8 yesterday (installed Google Now immediately) and so far a excellent phone!
But... something I noticed is that all Google apps like Play Books, Play Music etc. use the old app icons. Same thing with Instagram.
The phone and all apps are updated.
Does anyone know why and how to fix this. It's not a big problem but still...

My Build number ends with B152. Does that mean there is an update? My phone doesn't say there is.
I live in Norway by the way, but that shouldn't matter I guess.
