HTC HD2 Manilla upgrade - HD2 General
I have just purchased a HTC HD2 handset and was wondering how I can upgrade my Manilla Sense from 2.5.1921 to the latest version 2.5.2016.
Any links to such downloads with instructions would be great + any tips on pre-required additional installs.
My current phone setup is:
OS 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manilla 2.5.19211619.0
ROM version 1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE
Radio Version 2.07.51.22_2
Protocal vesion 15.32.50.07U
Hi! I'm no expert but all I know is you cannot upgrade the manila version like any ordinary means. That means there's no CAB file to install for the upgrade or upgrade it online. The chefs usually cook take the latest ROM and take the necessary parts then cook it into a ROM. So it means you can only have the latest Manila by flashing the lastest ROM.

Hi,
I am on the O2 1.72 ROM and my Manila version is 2.5.2012xxxx.0.
Just out of interest, what is in Manila 2.5.2016 that you require?
I am just interrested in having the latest version of Manilla on my new shinny toy.
Do you have any links to ROM's that include the latest version of Manilla for the HD2 and any caution to advise.

Operator ROM?
How do I find out wether the ROM on my HD2 is a 'vanilla' version or an Operator version? I got my HD2 from Phones4U with a Vodafone contract so I dont know if it has been 'tampered with' by Vodafone... the version is - 1.48.405.2(71294) WWE Radio - 2.06.51.07 (after the HTC upgrade) Manilla - 2.5.19211619.0 Windows - 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82) Any help will be appreciated! It's the Manila version that confuses me. Like the OP I too have Manila version 1.0.19211622.1 (a little higher version than the OP). I've read in XDA that all HD2 supposedly shipped with Manila 2.5. Why have we got v1.0?

Click to collapse No, if you choose to flash the official ROM from HTC matching your phone and you do exactly as told by the flashing software from HTC, there shouldn't be any problem.
Ok, i will try updating to 1.66 in the next days.. Any answer to Manila version? Another question, the OS version is the newest? 5.2.... sounds not like 6.5 (wm) regards

Latest version of Windows 6.5 for HD2?
I have an HD2 from Vodafone running os 5.2.2... And ROM 1.66.405.2 I'm sure there is a later version of Windows Mobile, not 7, that will run on my HD2 - has any one heard if HTC will be releasing a later ROM with the later version of 6.5? Just curious as to what might be coming. Thanks Scott

HELP I'm having trouble flashing to a later ROM on my HTC HD2 Aussie model.
