It doesn't have a locked bootloader, a goofy hump in the back, better dev support.
My buddy has a DX and as soon as he saw my EVO screen he thought it looked better.

I own a Droid x and an evo. I must say after rooting and such the evo runs circles around the dx. Its so slow even overclocked. Plus we now have the HDMI mirroring!

Don't worry too much about it. I read all the headlines of the general forum but only the first few (and not that often because I go directly to my bookmark for Syndicate thread) of the developer forum. If it wasn't for this thread's headline, I wouldn't have even known about the Alpha for a while.
So, for what it's worth, your post helped me begin a new ROM on Monday. Thank you.

What information? He linked to another thread. Just go up one level, switch to the Android Development page, and you'll see it.

Not True. Mr. Clown is also an active Mod. He destroyed my Topic on 10th post Milestone for nooblets. His welcome for me was a cold one. Ironic of Him to not have a sense of Humor for a 'Clown' lol.

It seems like there was a rough transition period for a bit but now things are looking better around here. Other than noobs not searching, the Mods have a good handle on the Epic Forum and for this we thank you.
As a sidenote that Epic.../HTC... PITA apparently is haunting samfirmware.com forums now with the same ICS BS.

I might make working flashable version at some point, but if I am the one who does it, it might be awhile as I am pretty busy, and will need to get ahold of my shift to test on.

This is an RUU of a GSM phone, so getting data working at all won't happen until maybe the shift gets an RUU leak of ICS (or at least the EVO 3D/EVO Design)
