Guys,
i was surfing and searching to find the latest TF3/ manilla for the Blackstone to install it over the stock.
is there any possibility to find the latest one without changing the stock or i should install a coocked rom to have the latest TF3?
thanks for your help...........
go cooked rom. much more stable manila
You can't just install another manila version over stock. You need to flash to another rom with the latest version cooked in. Fards is right however, cooked is so much better than stock.
Hey guys, so I'm attempting to flash a custom ROM for the first time on my hd2, let alone any phone. I've read through all of the guidelines, and have already installed HSPL on my phone. I'm planning on installing the newest available energy ROM, however, I notice that it's recommended that TMOUS users flash the radio rom to 2.07.50, though it's not necessary. First off, for those of you who have flashed it to 2.07.50, are there advantages? On my stock phone, the radio rom is showing as 2.10.531.1, which I'm not seeing anywhere else in this forum. If for some reason, I do want to revert my phone back to the essential stock form, including the radio ROM, would I be able to do that? If so, I guess I'd have to find the stock 2.10.531.1 radio rom too right? I'm also assuming that there is the TMOUS stock ROM available on this forum if I want to revert everything back to flash, correct? Sorry for all the questions, but as a first time flasher, I'm trying to be cautious!
Thanks!
2.10.531.1 is you os version (rom) not your radio
You're right, that was referring to the ROM itself, not the radio rom. In any case, do any of you still recommend flashing my radio rom from what it is now (2.08.50.08_2) to 2.07.50? And lastly, where would I find the stock ROM and stock radio ROM on this forum in case I wanted to revert my phone back to stock form? I'm guessing that once I have those stock ROMs, flashing from the energy ROM to the stock ROM would be the same exact process?
Hey all, I think I actually have it figured out now. Let me know if this sounds right to you. To go from a custom ROM to the original stock ROM (2.10.531.1) I would first download the "2.10.1 *no stock SPL" ROM from the stickied http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655653. I am assuming that 2.10.1 is short for 2.10.531.1. After downloading 2.10.1 I would use customRUU.exe to flash back to the stock rom. To change my radio back to the stock 2.08.50.08_2, I would simply do the same by downloading the file, and again use customRUU.exe to go back to radio 2.08.50.08_2. Lastly, to get back to the original SPL, I would run HSPL2 and choose option SPL 2.08.0000 to revert back. After all of this, my phone would be back to bone stock, correct? I am just making sure that I've got it down before tampering with my beauty! Thanks guys.
P.S. - Anybody have an answer to my original post's question about downgrading my current radio to Energy's preferred 2.07.50? Is it worth it?

there is a thread is the beginning of the HD2 forum for radios...
Yeah, I saw the thread for radio roms too, but I am wanting to know specifically if people have any input on whether or not it's really worth it to change my stock radio rom to use with the energy ROM?

No need to change your radio. Keep the one you have. Flashing radios is by far more dangerous than flashing ROMs. Just make sure when you are flashing ROMs that it is compatible with the TMobile USA and you will be fine.
Thread closed. PM me if you need further assistance.
Hi
Is it essential to use a custom rom to run Android, or, can Android run fine with one of the latest offical roms?
Thanks.
im using the latest official t-mobile uk rom from the t-mobile.co.uk website and am having no problems, although i did have to change from the .51 radio included to a .50 radio
I am using the official 1.66 version Rom, its better to use stock even than custom roms. I found some issues with custom roms. But change the radio version with this stock Rom.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Thanks guys. Will try the latest official one released today and see how that goes.

Ive installed a new radio and hardspl can I just install a new rom as I did the first time? Also, has anyone tested the new htc rom for Europe with Froyo sense 3.2? I have radio 2.12.50.02_2
Thanks for your help x

hallo ppl
i have touch HD with German language OS i need to change it to English, as i know i will install another rom ?
will it affect the hardware?
what is the safest way to do?
thanks in advance for replays.
as you correctly assumed, to change the language of the os, you have to flash another rom.
in the rom development section you will find a dummies guide to flash roms. you should flash hspl first (to be able to flash roms at all) and then, if you want to stick to stock wm6.1 with touchflo, download a wwe rom of your choice from shipped-roms.com or other from the blackstone wiki here at xda.
if you have never flashed a rom before, it is important to read that dummies guide and make sure you understand all of the aspects before beginning to flash.
in case there are open questions about the process of hspl, ask in that thread.
and no, it does not affect the hardware. your phone will work the exact same way it worked before, only a radio rom might affect your quality of network coverage or wi-fi or bluetooth performance. flashing a full shipped rom might include a radio rom, but you can always flash a single radio afterwards to upgrade to the latest version.
